Juans goal was great! Just like the one Mancini scored in the Derby once. Perotta missed a shot on an empty goal... he didnt play well at all yesterday. Cicinho was good... Doni probably out of the Champions League match on Wednesday... Hopefully Juan will recover in time after going off injured yesterday. _________________ FORZA ROMA...SEMPRE, COMUNQUE E DOVUNQUE

Ahhhh! this country is insane.. i swear they dont want people going to the stadium.. i spent an hour queuing for tickets for roma-juve for friends in naples only to find out that you can only purchase a ticket with an original ID document (last year you could take a photocopy or give a and date of birth) AND then i found out the Roma Stores dont sell tickets for Curva or Distinti.. ou have to go to a Lottomatica! What is wrong with this county!
Looks like the stadium ill be half empty tomorrow... only 20 000 tickets been sold so far.... _________________ FORZA ROMA...SEMPRE, COMUNQUE E DOVUNQUE

Why? We are playing great at the moment. Hopefully we can start out the CL campaign with the full 3 points. Almost a must in our group!

Very good performance although when we were only 1-0 up at halftime i was worrying that we'd screw up (hell it is roma!) and draw. I think it's fair to say we glided through teh game without either facing great pressure or putting it on, that said after we went 2-0 up Dynamo Kiev gave up and if a ball strayed into our half it was pretty quickly disposed of!
ALSO, I've just remmebered why i hate watching post- european roma analysis on english tv .Graeme souness is a total arse; appparetly we pose no threat on the champions league, have no real "star" players and totti isn't a great player because he's never won anything (a world cup and scudetto maybe?)
Then Ruud Gullit says of course he's not a great player, why would a great player EVER stay at Roma? If he was really a great player there would've been offers from great clubs like Milan or Real Madrid (which i could've sworn there have been throughout his career) then he would've won the champions league. Roque Junior won the champions league- hardly a great player. Richard Keys and Jamie Redknapp of all people were defending him )(they're usually the first to criticise Roma and above all francesco)
Plus my mum kept calling Aquilani a wimp! *end of rant*
I'm really not looking forward to our ridiculous fixture list over the next few weeks! _________________ Forza Roma!

A great way to start out in the CL. I see the Italian team that actually plays Italians got the win. Throw in a few Brazilians and you can't miss.
{as opposed to the Argentine national team in Milan]
Glad I don;t have to listen to the anti-Italian thing from the commentators here. We mostly see the English teams anyways. Today we were given Man. U- Sporting {yawn} by ESPN.

Good start to CL, a couple of seasons ago it would have either been a draw or loss.
I'd rather have Aquilani in the team than Pizarro due to his form but also he's homegrown and deserves his chance.

Grande Roma! We still havent conceeded a goal.. hope we can keep this up with Juve, Fiorentina, Inter and Man U to play in the next 10 days!!
Giuly should have scored...again... Juan has fit into the team so well. Good to see Mancini back in the team.
We even had stewards in Curva Sud last night! Shocking! Love the way they take my dangerous bottle of water off me, yet let you take in drugs and bombs/flares.... Finally we had a megaphone in the Curva.. not sure how they managed that one but at least he helped to get the chanting a bit more coordinated as its become quite lame lately. _________________ FORZA ROMA...SEMPRE, COMUNQUE E DOVUNQUE

Roma girl, have the put up alot of cameras? CCTV in distinti and curva?
Doubt I can climb if they have
We're the stewards just for the champions league? seemed weird having a divide in the curva.

They have cameras every where now. They didnt have stewards in the curva for the first match in the league...i think it was only for the Champions League... not so many people climb over any more.
60,000 tickets have been sold so hopefully the stadium will be full. _________________ FORZA ROMA...SEMPRE, COMUNQUE E DOVUNQUE

We will come...chance for you to see finally serious traveling support...
Meanwhile, think about fact that Sensi prefered to take some funny keeper instead of Buffon six years ago...
You are another Mensa FC...

This is not news about buffon, i read in an interview, i think in the football italia magazine that he almost moved to Roma in 2001 but they didn't but in a high enough bid in the end or something.
Anyway why have buffon when you have erm Doni....
postphoned going back to uni in order to watch the game, which is probably a curse... _________________ Forza Roma!

It would have been sweet to have Buffon, instead of Buffoon, which we have now.
I doubt we could have matched 33 mill though that he got from Juve.
Big game tomorrow on very early here tomorrow-- must set the alarm!!!

as soon as they got that throw in by that corner i thought they'd score
we really need to finish more, we could've been 3-1 if not more up against juve and the same was true of Kiev.
That said we are playing some amazing football at the moment. _________________ Forza Roma!

Why was that initially a Roma throw and then after a long while the ref seemed to change his mind???
Though Roma were a class above Juve and should've killed the game off.
One thing I didn't get; Aquilani was playing deep with De Rossi with Perrotta a bit more advanced. Surely, it should've been Aquilani advanced and Perrotta deep. Perrotta's miss was absolutely awful.

| Quote: | Mancini furious at flighty Inter
Roberto Mancini criticised his Roma squad for their attitude at Livorno, while Nando Orsi insists his men deserved all three points |

Roma could have won it but this is what happens when a team does not score from direct chances. Juve played with no real midfield given the injuries and only Zanetti seemed to have done a good job. This is exactly what happend to Juve against Udinese. Alex hits the post three times and we miss a couple of direct chances and lose the game.
One thing for sure, none of the teams in Serie A sees to be a stretch ahead of the pack. It is going to be an interesting season.

Even though we got a point, I am disappointed. We should have killed this game off. We were the better team, but that's soccer.[footy]
The doofus' over on the Juve thread actually think ADP was better than Totti!!! [Dylan excepted}

We should have won.. we had so many chances.. thats what makes it worse. We would have been 4 points clear at the top as well. Cicinho took too long to throw in the ball so it was gievn to Juve and they scored... Cant believe how may chances we had..we should have been 5-1 up.
What was the hugging and swapping shirts all about in the middle of the pitch at the end of the game?!
These matches just arent the same any more without the banners and choreography... _________________ FORZA ROMA...SEMPRE, COMUNQUE E DOVUNQUE

Yep with Crapone-Pupone offside and Pierino missing a spot kick.
Ma tappate la bocca pellegrini!
