Hey Prince was right!

Sometimes it snows in April
Sometimes I feel so bad, so bad
Sometimes I wish that life was never ending,
But all good things, they say, never last

It makes me upset when I'm done with winter and just want the summer we've been waiting for.

Well yes, really irritates me when the weather during the working week is fine but the weekend turns out to be a complete wash out, or freeze out. Oh we had such plans

Plus I'm really not looking forward to my drive up the M40 to Oxford tomorrow.

What bothers me is when you see your summer travel plans slowly falling apart right in front of you...

Not to mention that feeling when you havent been home for 3 months and all is well and good, then one day you just realise... shit I miss home despite the fact that you will be there in a month or so hahah
(maybe this is specific to me?)

Ian Holloway.

He might be likeable and popular with the media, but he's an awful football manager.  Crap tactics, poor man-management, and an obsession with Steve Howard that will get Leicester City relegated.  Howard wasn't actually that bad today, but we'd have still been better off with someone else in the team.  Looks like the club's pround record of having never been below the second tier is set to go.

Ignore the likeable bit the man's a complete and utter tosser.  He's going to get sacked the minute Mandaric is back from America.  At last a good day in Leicester City's history (When Hollohead gets sacked).  He's worse than Taylor, Levein and Allen combined.

Otherwise

Don't think I've ever been that upset after a football match before.

Sorry about that, Liam.

What's your take on Mandaric?

He seems hopeless at choosing managers - Alain Perrin and the Director of Football (forget his name) at Portsmout;

Martin Allen (potentially the right choice, but all went horribly wrong - suspicions that Mandaric tried to run team affairs, and unlike 'Arry, Allen couldn't say 'Oh * off, Milan');

Megson (not wanted by the fans, and Mandaric surprised when Megson left for a Premiership club)

Got rid of Nigel Worthington (not a bad manager, despite the latter part of his tenure at Norwich)

He seems to have chosen Holloway simply because the chap comes across as an engagingly eccentric figure with what appears, at first sight, to be a reasonable - but nothing more than that - record managing lower league teams. That's hardly a recommendation for a man meant to restore some sort of stability to the club and take it into the Premiership.

He's almost certain to sack Holloway, but who on earth will he go for next?

I'd think the 3 main reasons Martin Allen was sacked was A that he didn't get on with Mandaric.  B because he signed numerous crappy foreign players without scouting them.  He thought they'd be good on agents advice, they turned up and never played a game.  And C he'd apparently upset a lot of non-playing staff around the club, as well as a number of the players.

Megson was forced out by the fans, and Worthington was only a caretaker for the last 5 games of last season.

Holloway has only kept his job because Mandaric is desperate to give someone more than a few games in the job.  If he was the first manager this season he'd have been sacked ages ago.

So yes, he's chosen managers badly, but we'd have been relegated to League One and been in administration if he hadn't taken over, so I do believe he is needed at the club.  His investment has been substantial for the division, its just been wasted by Holloway and Allen.

The next manager will be Iain Dowie I would think.  Mandaric has openly admitted he had him lined up in February 2007 when he took over, but he went to Coventry a couple of days after the takeover went through.  He's currently out of work, and I can see him being interested.  Doesn't fill me with joy, but I'd take him over Holloway anyday.

Avram Grant, or was that after Mandaric left?

I was thinking of Velimir Zajec, Mezz - the one whose appointment led to Redknapp's departure from Pompey.

what is making me angry is flatmates who use up all the internet bandwidth downloading tv series. Why can't people just wait until these things are on television?

I can't believe you're still with an ISP that limits your bandwidth.

That, should United win the CL next week, any parade has been cancelled due to the rioting Rangers fans

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/manchester/7405591.stm

Like the way on BBC tonight they are referred to as British fans - and the way the Scots always disassociate themselves with the English when it is an English team at fault.  Should be banned from Europe for two reasons - their fans and the boring football they play.

I thought that rather odd as well - almost as odd as Gordon Brown suggesting that the behaviour of Scottish fans would have an impact upon the 2018 World Cup bid....

While I could see the rationale for not having the big screens up for the CL final (one breaks down, fans unhappy, trouble kicks off), I can hardly see Man Utd fans rioting in celebration at a parade, be there one or two trophies aboard the open-topped bus - if there's a concern about them being a little tipsy, then use the powers available to the police/local authorities to close the pubs within comfortable walking distance of the parade route. I'd have thought the only danger of violence would occur if the Real Madrid president turned up to make his tapping up of Ronaldo* even more blatant.

(*not the one confused over which sex has which genitals, obviously)

BTTMUQU:

Having your washing machine break down in the middle of a cycle and being forced to pay some cowboy* a small fortune to come out and possibly fix it on a Saturday.

* the guy hasn't actually arrived yet, so I may be forced to retract this accusation later today.
