A nice 3 points before the Champions League showdown with Liverpool.

I see Liverpool blew it big style at home to Barnsley in the FA Cup so lots of pressure on them now to get a result on Tuesday.

A wee draw would be nice tonight in Turin (I can't bring myself to want Juve to win).

Absolute cracking performance by us yesterday but let's be wary about Liverpool for Tuesday night. They are having a stinker at the moment and I have seen it so many times before where a club like that come out fighting for their badge. What better way for Benitez to stamp out the rot than succesfully taking on the Italian champions on a freezing night in Scouseland a a cold chill blows in from the Irish Sea. If Gerrard remains crocked for Tuesday night I'll be a lot happier. Never been to Anfield before so I am really looking forward to it.

Matrix' expulsion was bullshit.   Very weak call

Comical ref - comical dive by Torres who has gone down in my estimation. Was never a second yellow, in fact the first was given too easily as well.

Hate to say it, but i would love to see Inter nick one.

I'll gladly take a 0-0 to be honest.  Have we even had a shot yet?  Matrix' had a very soft two yellows but moaning baout the ref wont help.

Shame we put in all that good work with 10 men to get done in the last few minutes. I think Matrix getting unfairly sent off was a turning point but no point crying over spilt milk.

Edit: Yes, Cordoba's injury was also very bad luck.  Sometimes it's just not your night.

Inter were very unlucky with the Matrix sending off and then Cordoba getting injured

Try with Rafa phone...you are merda but know how to spy...

And yes, for return leg try with some Italian ref, maybe you can score once...from penalty.

Luckily you are not Italian team so my people cant be ashamed losing to Liverpool.

Ah yes the banal post defeat postings of Drughi.  Very old and boring now.  Please go back to studying if the moon landings happened and if Princess Diana was murdered.

Gutted. Terrible refereeing.

Liverpool deserved 1-0 on  their performance, given that inter were down to 10 men. but Inter shouldnt have been.

Vieira was god awful. Failed to set Ibra away on a promising counter attack at 0-0 and smashed the ball straight against a liverpool player to set Torres away.

Why didnt we make a 3rd sub? The game was crying for Suazo to be brough on
pffffffft

yes unlucky but you make your own luck.

We've had plenty of experience playing in 10 of late and "luck" can't be used as another excuse. Mancio needs to learn to step up in Europe.

Bringing on slow motion Vieira was his only tactic sub, brilliant we played with two men short!
He finished the game with a sub up his sleeve!

Surely bringing on Suazo for his pace alone should have been tried, at least he would have covered ground and kept Liverpool thinking about having to cover him rather than giving them free reign to attack us.

When it comes to Europe Mancio has nothing on Cuper. Question is do we bite the bullet or allow Mancio more time to learn from his mistakes.  Looking at how long it took Ancelotti to coach in Europe (despite having more playing experience than Mancio in that comp) I'm undecided.  You can't sack Mancini at present but I can't see how he's going to get us to succeed in Europe and considering he hasn't really had an open cheque book I can't see any other available option.

No doubt the Mourinho rumours will resurface in the next two weeks.

Bollocks. Totally agree about Vieira and Suazo but Mancini stays. He has a winning mentality. Lets not get hasty. Mancio is a young coach with great potential.

Agree but right here right now potential is yet to be fulfilled, I'll gladly eat my words, please Mancio prove me wrong!

Worse thing is Mancio has a winning mentality but in Europe it goes weak at the knees. Tonight he had us sit back for 20 minutes, then we started to get into it and the send off hurt us, but he should have kept chasing the result as he did in Udine with 10, instead he handed Liverpool the accendancy.

You earn you money as a coach by over turning matches, the fact that he made only two subs (one because of injury) just proves he had nothing to offer tonight.

Predictions we go out 4-4-2 in the return, when 3-4-3 or 3-5-2 should be  explored.

Rany over I agree Mancio shouldn't be sacked

difficult to explain bringing viera to england never mind bringing him onto the pitch

that said benitez escapes by skin of his teeth again. 85 minutes gone, playing with ten men and both centre backs gone and inter still looked likely to sneak one on the break. then a deflected shot breaks inter hearts. the gerrard cross should never have gone in but thats just bad luck.

i was hoping ye'd stuff them but maybe mancini can get the real inter to turn up in the replay
