Inter Club London numbers over one hundred members. I don't know of any other Inter Clubs in the UK. I think some Scottish supporters are affiliated, guys from Dundee and Glasgow. So ten tickets for the Liverpool game is a slap in the face. Let's see the price of the tickets that will pop up just before the game . _________________ Non mollare mai.

I bought a dvd a while ago (from where I can't remember) and hadn't had the chance to watch it yet. Had some spare time today and went to open the case only to find they hadn't taken off the red security tag that prevents it from opening.
Anyone know how I can get to my dvd? Thanks if you can.

Bloody self-assessment online. Been sat here waiting for over 30 minutes to log-on without success. I'm sure it's a ploy to extract £100 from me (and yes I know I could have done this earlier!)

If you walked out of the shop with it fine then its unlikely theyll try to do you for stealing.

Spare a thought for me - have just stuffed mine in an envelope with lots of random documents (P45's/P60's etc) and a covering letter inviting them to have fun with the whole lot. Thats the absolute truth - have had enough of this shite - bad enough i have been overtaxed twice now, they are now sending me threatening letters claiming to have never recieved 2005/2006 returns. _________________ Kuwabara, kuwabara

Has anyone seen the Simpsons episode where Flanders fills in his tax return on New Year's Day? Then come 15th April (the IRS deadline day), the news crew are down at the post office because it's heaving with people submitting their returns on the last minute?
Great episode, and so much resonance today.

That bit where Kent Brockman is live on air and gloating because he reckons that his accountant filed his taxes ages ago, then he turns to see his accountant running around the post office, arms full of receipts, shouting "Does anyone have a calculator!?" _________________ ACF FIORENTINA : FORZA LA VIOLA

I'm sure you'll be delighted to learn that the self-assessment site has crashed in a large heap and HMRC have no idea when it will be back up...BBC are reporting that HMRC are already facing angry demands to put the deadline back to Monday to take account of the system failure.
(Smug because I did mine on Monday...)

F**king Ministry of Defence.
Found out today that I have been a victim of the stolen information of the Armed Forces applicants.

To be fair, it's more a case of 'F***** idiot who broke every single rule about maintaining security of data and who is likely to be court-martialled and looking for a job in McDonalds before too long'.

I realise it's a military tradition to identify a scapegoat when things go wrong Dave, but if data protection is reliant on the competence of single individuals (in the armed forces???) it is the system that is at fault. There should always be controls in place that protect against the occasional idiocy of people operating within a system.
That's pretty much a statement of the obvious but it's irritating to observe how frequently people at the top of organisations manage to dodge blaim by blaming individuals when it is clearly their own inadequate organisational systems that are to blame. E.g. The Societe General "fraud", the collapse Barings bank and all the current government data loss fiascos.
And on a wholly unrelated matter, why on earth does the British public put up with the head of the National Audit Office acting in such an openly and ridiculously corrupt manner?

On the plus side, I did get a letter of apology from Defence Secretary Des Browne. It makes me feel a whole lot better because he assured me that Gordon Brown is restructuring his cabinet to incorporate a new position of 'Minister for Public Apologies'. Browne himself is a frontrunner to occupy this position, but he faces stiff competition from Peter Hain, a man seemingly on a mission to raise as much campaign money as quickly as possible in order to make amends for his recent embarrassment.

Gutted - won tickets for Villa v Sunderland in the News Of The Screws, but the silly bastards didn't post them to me in time. Good job I didn't go really - relegation form at Villa Park at the moment!
