Great news regarding DDR, it's like signing a new player!

Another splendid performance yesterday and it's always good to get one over on Inter, who were made to look very poor yesterday. It's amazing how the defence looks safer with an ageing Heinze who can't run than with Kjaer.

Olimpico 2010 - They have released any info on the derby tickets yet. No dubt many restrictions will be in place.  You should at least be able to buy tickets for monte mario on line. Distini and curva will sell out immediately and Tribuna Tevere may have restrictions such as women and under 16 and over 50s only.  The derby has been far from a sell out the last couple of years so you should find tickets on the saturday - the match is at 3pm on sunday and so it is even less likey to be a sell out.  The Derby isnt what it used to be.

Great result yesterday but if im honest Inter were really poor.  Borini played the match of his life and went off to a standing ovation.  Totti wasnt great, Bojan finally scored a decent goal and having Kjaer off the pitch made a big difference.

Great to have DDR back and a new contract signed.

No doubt we will now lose to Catania on wednesday since Totti and DDR cant play.

Borini is in against Catania if my memory serves me right, so I think we will be ok. Gotta have faith in the team as Duncan said. The weather and pitch have to be better than the second half of that game and that definitely helps our possession game. I'm calling a 2-1 win for roma with Borini on the score sheet. His movement is top notch. Just like a certain man u forward that came from nowhere last year

I saw Borini play for Swansea last season and he looked a decent prospect but no more than that. At Roma he looks and plays like a man possessed with a continual goal threat. I hope the deal to sign him is in place with Parma?

As everbody's said a it's been a brilliant few days with DDR signing and the team beating Inter so impressively.

Reading the DDR interview about his contract it was interesting to read the following
Quote:
“Luis Enrique? He was fundamental. He re-lit the light in me that all players need. He’s the best Coach I’ve ever had. I’m on his wavelength with everything.”

This can only be a good thing, if a radical project is going to work it needs time and having the backing of such an influential figure as DDR can only help?

The final 25 mins of the Catania match is live on ESPN tonight at 7pm prior to the Coppa semi. It should make very interesting viewing: three points please!

I'm presuming the expected blizzard & -15c temperature for Siena tonight isn't on the cards and the match will go ahead. If it does then three points is the required result after the losses by Inter & Udinese over the weekend.

ESPN have got coverage scheduled if the game does go ahead, so let's hope for milder weather!

Any word from the Italian equivalents of Michael Fish or John Kettley??

Thanks Curva the BBC weather website doesn't appear to recognise a Siena (or Sienna....), that doesn't look good.

Kjaer on for Juan so it's only a matter of time before Siena score.

In defence of Kjaer, I don't think it was a penalty.

I was watching at a friends house and mentioned how glad I was that Kjaer was on the bench again as he's an accident waiting to happen. Then it did. Was Juan injured because if he wasn't it was a strange decision by Enrique? Defensively poor again and dire in possession.

I'm still not convinced by this keep ball football because the possession is too slow arriving in the final third and there's no real width. We rarely looked dangerous last night against a well set up but relegation haunted team and that's not good enough. End of.

At least DDR is back for Sunday's game but I'm still not sure where he'll play? With Juan still a doubt and Kjaer very fragile confidence wise, there's too many questions defensively for him not to be considered as a CB. Osvaldo should also play in place of Totti with Borini & Lamela either side of him.

Knowing Roma this will be a comprehensive victory or a slim loss!

Or a slim win, Lupo!

Didn't get to catch the match since I was recovering from my Mardi Gras celebration all day Saturday, but from the reports and highlights I've seen, we had many missed opportunities. Luckily Kjaer was suspended and couldn't help Parma score!

This team is starting to make some strides and have shown a much better understanding of Enrique's system the last few weeks. Unfortunately we can't find any consistency, especially against the weaker teams who defend with 11 men behind the ball.

I'm very hopeful of a 3rd place finish now that we are up to 5th and looking forward to the progress we can make in the meantime. I think with a few more signings and more time with Enrique at the helm, we will be a real force next year for the Scudetto and Coppa Italia.

Olimpico2012, are you still planning on going to the Derby in two weeks????

Yesterday I spent the afternoon at Trigoria . I was even interviewed for the Roma Channel and am on the Roma homepage! Lucho is crazy! The training session was much harder and longer than under Ranieri. He stops them and asks them questions like they are at school! He even shouted that they need to shoot on goal as much as possible....just hoped they listened!  De Rossi and Osvaldo are so hot!!

We have to beat Atalanta tomorrow!!!!!
