Me and Mrs Blackandblue thank you for all your good wishes. As for what we are getting up to out here, maybe we do what all newlyweds do, just a bit slower as we're getting on a bit . And, christ, not as often! It's too damn hot . Back in Blighty later in the week when I'll have a 'match report'.
Peace and love to you all. _________________ My Jamaican missus trying to describe Amy Winehouse the other day: "What's the name of that coke head woman who went to St Lucia?"

Great performance from the USA. That's certainly changed my opinion on them. All their players were effective and played to their strengths and they got their reward.
Funny to see the very overrated Casillas make a mistake. _________________ Forza Juve!!!

Fantastic Result for we Americans [of course, Gli Azzurri are still my love{
Sticking it to Spain is always great!!!!
I kind of thought the USA would give them a game. Used to not having much of possesion but have plenty of patience and are in fantastic physical condition.
So happy!

Why are you all so happy that the best footballing team in the world got knocked out? They arent special rivals to England or Italy. Are you all closet Portuguese (Mike aside) ??
Sometimes when you knock Barcelona or Spain I wonder whether you hate football... _________________ http://bringtheparty.blogspot.com/

Bobo - while I personally like the Spanish side, I suspect that for some other members of the foro there is an element of guilt by association because the C4 foro's favourite plastic Spaniard kept banging on, and on, and on, and on about how good 'his' team were in between his dogged defence of the downright honesty and altruism of Real Madrid.
Aragones' casual racism didn't exactly help boost their image either.

I would have thought Italian football fans of all people would be able to see past the racism and inspect the football for what it is. Particularly as Aragones is no longer the coach.
Was Ronaldo actually Spanish? He was very entertaining.Why did he leave?
It doesnt upset me, Im just curious why people would delight in the misfortune of such a pure team. _________________ http://bringtheparty.blogspot.com/

I love the Spanish side, don't get me wrong. If there is a 'right' and 'wrong' way of playing the beautiful game, they are leading the way. Having said that, it's great to see an underdog cause an upset every now and again, especially if they play a good game. The Spanish attack was great to watch but a few defensive error's got the better of them.
Aside from all that, i would love to see Ron back on the forum. I still have his email address, perhaps i should drop him a line

He is English. He claimed to live in Spain once upon a time. I have my suspicions that he pops in from time to time...
