So am I - although I've done f**k all with it since I signed up (I think I got a message via Friends Reunited from some hot totty I was at school with that she had signed up, so thought I'd sign up to check her out - let's just say that time hasn't been kind to her )
Always a mistake to revisit your past - remember things as they were kids!

I use it - it's pretty useful for keeping in touch with people methinks. I get a bit fed up of getting friend requests from people who I don't really want them from - I should just be more decisive and say bog off but for some daft reason I then feel a bit guilty and I just ignore them instead and hope they go away (always the most effective solution!). They're like someone from school who I probably haven't spoken to for the best part of a decade - I mean why??! I don't understand - friends tell me a lot of people have some sort of competitive type thing going on to see who can get the most "friends". I never even liked half of them and the other half our total life's conversation probably stretched to "have you got a pen I can borrow?". _________________ http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/i...9797592&albumID=0&imageID=2042498

Couldn't have put it better myself.

I've now got 55 "friends" and I like all of them! Now whether they like me is a different matter....

Aye, I've got it. Got a few forummers as 'friends' too - Myles, Rosa, Juvefans, Ken (forgotten his C4 username, the Interista), Giancarlo, Il Ferret, Adam Smith, Juvefans...possibly others...
But if I get one more bloody 'vampire' request, I'm going to smash my computer.

Yeah my friends have these weird things too - poker requests, a vampire bit me, play scrabble (I've actually been playing this a bit though but I am convinced they are rigging my go because I have the worst set of letters time after time - I had to write "no" the other day). I decided to just "ignore" the latest three people who asked to be my friend - they were the types I described up there. I mean maybe if you saw them in a pub somewhere and you chatted for an hour about stuff *then* they added you then fair enough but I don't get this I was in the same maternity ward as you so I'll add you vibe these people have - I don't even know who some of them are! _________________ http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/i...9797592&albumID=0&imageID=2042498

After a couple of weeks on there I've deactivated my account. At first it was like walking into a room full of familiar faces (OK vaguely familiar). But once you've tracked down the people you know that's it there's nothing more to do, if I wanted to be friends with them I'd never have lost touch...plus you get morons who take offence when you don't do their surveys or accept their inviation to be friends right away.
Everyone keeps asking you what you're doing these days, it's like a phony competition to see who's MADE IT. Even if someone's not doing anything interesting they'll act like they are, there was one guy from school who claims to be out all hours chasing girls when he's not DJ-ing or making films or playing semi-pro football. Strange since he still finds 23 hours of his day hooked on facebook.
I did manage to amass 26 'friends' in my 2 weeks.
But hey socialising on the internet is pretty gay and weird.
So facebook.

I have recently joined the dark side, I was surprised by the amount of people on here, old friends I haven’t spoke to for years. So for this reason I rate it and will continue to use it, plus I have a Rabid level 2 Werewolf

Someone I know signed me up to Flixster. Now I get loads of e-mails from them badgering me to update my profile. They can piss right off. Even on the internet I'm a bit of a wallflower. _________________ Forza Milan

I'll be your friend, Dels!
If you click on the 'Memberlist' tab at the top of this very page, find my username and click on my website thingy it should take you to my Facebook friend request page.
Alternatively, search for Niall Brown and look for the profile picture featuring a shaven-headed goon with a sticker saying 'DEAD' on his forehead...

Dels should be able to see the icon-link to your webpage on the top-right of each of your posts. It's the icon that looks like a house.
Members can't see the IP and email address icon, only admins and mods can see those icons.
