Steve Wilson has emailed saying he has passed on an email from myself stating that the web team may post links to the C4FI website, on this forum.

Myles, thanks for clearing that up. Since I've done JDT a disservice with my earlier observations, it's only fair that I apologise for the criticism I levelled towards him when it should've been C4 who recieved the full force of my ire for the grossly puritanical, petty, inconsistent, immature, egomaniacally overbearing, self-regardingly dictatorial fashion drawn from the highest traditions of onanism with which they've set about wrecking the C4FI forum.

You always were a bit of a loose cannon, Dave.
We forgive you though.

If anyone's looking for the links that used to be at the top of the page (Log in/out, member list, profile), they're still there.
Problem is, the links are green which is the same colour as the background!
Can you make them white again, Myles?

This problem should be fixed now for anyone who uses a Mozilla browser.

I don't wanna curse it but I've been amazed by the success of the new home. What's even more pleasing is the number of newbies who seem to find their way here

I'm very amused that it looks like the Football Italia team seem to be willing to desert the Channel Four Forum and use this one instead. Well done to all concerned. I do miss George however.

But think of the fun you could have editing his posts, Mezz....
Myles, hope you won't object, but as a result of a chat with someone this afternoon about his website, I've made a couple of small alterations to the Kids and Parents thread and the 'do's and 'don'ts' - namely spammers are invited to go forth and multiply in the hope that their children have small penises (particularly the girls), and parents thinking that someone wishes to go forth and illegally multiply with their underage child are asked to let the mods know immediately so we can ban the would-be Gary Glitter imitator.
Just to protect your back, but if you want to revert to the original, I shan't stomp off in a huff (would've e-mailed you beforehand to ask, but my ****** mail server appears to have gone on strike in sympathy with the postal workers at the moment and bounced the message back.)

The banner at the top, was moved to the center.
If it's anything other than the banner, i suggest clearing your cookies.
If problem still persists let me know what browser you are using.
It's working okay for IE and Firefox.

Strange. For about a half hour the other day this whole forum was crammed to the right hand side of the screen.
All's been well since.

Channel Five replied to my email which requested them to consider the forum as a link.
They replied, but didn't make any reference to the forum, they just promoted their blog which started yesterday: http://www.five.tv/footballitaliano
Anyway, if anyone is posting a comment maybe you could consider including the url link to this forum*, in your comment, they allow it. It's like the old school forum in that you don't have to register.
* if you don't have your own website to promote.

The forum has been indexed on MSN search engine for the data centres based in the US, UK and Ireland, but not in Italy yet.
According to search trends, the words; italia and forum are searched in Italy more than; italiano and foro respectively. So the most commonly typed phrase by Italians living in english-speaking countries/data centres, while searching an italian football forum would seem to be calcio italia forum.
So the forum will appear on the first page of MSN search (msn.com, msn.co.uk, msn.ie) if the following two phrases are typed;
- Italian football forum
- Calcio italia forum
msn.it have not yet added the forum to their index.
