When the news of mourinho broke, two teams came to my mind; inter and juventus. I think he would be a better coach for you than mancini.

That's exactly what I think. I don't think that we should sack Mancini because he's failing, because he's not (too early to judge this season and has done well up till now), I just think that there is an obvious better option readily available so we would be daft not to look at it seriously.
Mourinho's style of play would probably suit Serie A much better anyway (where it can be more a tactical game of chess rather than the run fast/shoot/can't defend EPL). _________________ Campioni d'Italia 2006-2007

We've had the odd mediocre result and a very poor performance in Istanbul.
However, we're doing fine.
Tonight's results mean that even a defeat in Rome won't spell disaster _________________ Welcome to the Special One

IMHO last nights win merely papers over the cracks of a very divided camp.
The next seven days will be crucial to Mancini.Draw minimum in Rome and a victory against PSV .If not then I think Jose will be in the frame.

Hi Chaps,
good to be back in the land of nerazzurri. Think its just the usual slow start to the italian season all round and hope we can be up and running on full power by mid October.
Just hope we are still in CL at that stage.
Only thing that worries me about Mancinis style is he never seems to create a great team spirit amongst his players the same way Signor Mourinho does, but still would not replace him at this time.
Think I would settle for a draw on sat night, but a win like last year would be fantastic. _________________ It's quieter than a church before the crowds arrive.

You might be right - 3-1 up against 10 men. _________________ Campioni d'Italia 2006-2007

What a result, regardless of them having 10 men we're 4-1 up.

Full time 4-1. Excellent result. It's one thing them being down to 10 men (Guily "saved" Ibra's goal bound effort to earn us a penalty and him a red card) but quite another to take full advantage of it. Now clear at the top.
C'mon lads, let's make it 16. _________________ Campioni d'Italia 2006-2007

Let's just say I don't have a lot of time for the "God Squad"
On a technical note, I reckon the rules should be changed so that in cases like the Giuly incident yesterday, the attacking team should simply be awarded the goal with the player handling the ball booked.
Imagine it had occurred at the end of the game with the score on 0-0, the pressure on Ibra would have been much greater and Giuly's cheating could have helped Roma big time. _________________ Welcome to the Special One

'God squad'?! Hmmm, I wonder how many Inter players subscribe to a faith of some kind?
Well anyway, thank you, Inter Ateo; your comment above and your ever-present 'footer' have inspired me to come up with my very own below:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kakį:
UEFA Champions League Top Scorer: 2006-2007
UEFA Champions League Best Forward: 2006-2007
UEFA Club Footballer of the Year: 2007
European Player of The Year 2007?
FIFA World Player of the Year 2007?

I'm sure many Inter players and others have their faiths and are respected for it. The trouble with Kaka is the throwing it in other people's faces all the time. I had an ex-girlfriend who was a born again Christian and believe me, it gets wearing very, very quickly (why was I with her so long?). All he has to do is lead a good life without the proselytizing. _________________ Non mollare mai.

I always wished Vieri had done the same stunt against Ibra in Euro 2006. Buffon might have saved the resulting pen and Italy would have suffered no loss due to Christian's dismissal.
I'm not sure how Kaka' stuffs anything down anyone's throat. It's not like he's knocking at your door and all I've seen of him is his t-shirt and pointing to the sky. Unless you've been watching extra footage that you couldn't physically turn off?
The image of Kaka' kneeling with 'I belong to Jesus' on his front and Stevie G hanging his head is one I'll treasure for a long time. It makes me chuckle. _________________ L'uomo tigre

If Robbie Fowler can't wear a t-shirt supporting striking workers why does Kaka get leeway over his 'messages'? I don't want to know that my players praise their god every time they step on a pitch. And I don't need to know that him and his (gorgeous wife) didn't have sex before marriage because of his beliefs. Poor girl. _________________ Non mollare mai.

Why are people so angry when people may preach the gospel a wee bit, but not when we get other stuff pushed down our throats?
Ex. politics, man-made global warming nonsense, entertainment, etc.....
