GTTMUH: For those in the same boat as me. For once the last working day of the month and the last friday of the month fall on the same day, so I get paid at the same time as my mates for once

Great trumpeting trousers, did you see Palermo 2-1 Milan? Those were the most one-sided highlights (resulting in a loss) I've ever seen.
Werder Bremen won 8-1, which was nice.

Fiji v Wales. Possibly one of the greatest games of rugby I've seen.

What I'd give to see that happen. I can imagine it now, fans at the final in Moscow, in Red Square chanting: "You can stick your Lisbon Lions up your arse!"

All is good down in SE7 at the moment. Sod being 2nd in the league, Millwall lose 4-0 at Carlisle, are rooted to the foot of League One and sack their manager.
And to top it off Palace in 19th go and so the same. But even better, the inimitable Simon Jordan brings a new meaning to the word "winner"...
We need an injection of something and someone like Neil Warnock will give us that. He's a winner and I'm a winner.
That why you left 10 minutes before the end while we were beating you on your own patch then? Yet again?
I love Palace and Millwall really, you don't get much funnier than those two jokes of "football clubs."

GTTMMH:
The splendid Rugby World Cup has made me very happy. It really has been a well organised event with the added bonus of England confounding the pundits and defending their crown in the final. OK we'll get stuffed then but it has been a great journey.

I've also enjoyed the RWC, which has shown that the game is developing in countries outside of the usual eight - Argentina have been a breath of fresh air. IF England can play to their full potential on Saturday, keep the ball with the forwards and avoid the temptation to throw the ball wide, then I believe we can win it again - we've managed to frustrate both the Aussies and the French with this style of rugby, so why can't we do it to the Springboks as well?
Also enjoying Gloucester being top of the league again (although I'm sure we'll lose in the play-offs again )

I think McLeish is bringing in Alexander for Hutton and Malonely for Brown and Fletcher for McCulloch. I want to be confident but we're going to miss those injured or suspended players. _________________ Scotland 1 - 0 France 07/10/06

Typical Villa fan, hasn't even heard of a player that's at his own club!

You've never heard of Scott Brown? Mmmm he was in a team that beat the European champions last week there. I'm sure you remember, right? Let me explain... The green & white team scored first then the red & black team got the softest penalty they'll ever get, but then a wee Australian for the team in green & white scored in injury time. Then a daft person ran on to the field slightly touched the goalie for the red & black team & said goalie falls to the ground like the big cheating sissy that he is. Remember that match? Well Scott Brown played in it. _________________ Scotland 1 - 0 France 07/10/06

Group B is tighter than a fish's arse. I expect the Scots, after a great effort, to be unlucky and not qualify. The Italians, via a penalty from a dive, will win in Scotland and of course beat the Faroe Islands - the Italians and French thereby qualifying. Ukraine have nowt to play for so the French, having been utter rubbish, will go through. Even though I'm English and not a glory-hunter, it would be rather fun if the Scots qualified and we didn't, just to rub it in how much pestilence and abomination is at play in the England side. We also need another big boy - Italy, world champions? - to fail with us.
The entire world's problems can be laid at Steven Gerrard's door (missing a header from 8 yards out unmarked). I can hardly type I'm so angry.
