Presumably like Mourinho against Lazio, he switched off the TV at that point and missed Iaquinta's goal wrongly being disallowed. |
Are you and Micky related?

I'm confused. I was merely stating that if Materazzi is going to comment on injustices he should mention ones that have gone against Juventus as well. But as always it's convenient for someone at Inter to ignore that sort of thing and whine when something goes in Juve's favour.
Juventus do get bad decisions sometimes in their favour, but so do Inter. Unfortunately the likes of Materazzi have very selective eyesight. _________________ Forza Juve!!!

Liam you misunderstand the context. What's stupid is the clear anti-Inter editorial stance of C4. I bear it because there are no alternatives. Matrix and Mourinho are often criticised for being particularly bad. Matrix has a reputation for dangerous tackles. He is simply asking to be judged fairly on what has actually happens rather than unfair bad reputations.
If you red card me now for abusing the referee then red card every other player who does the same. There was no "blasting" of the ref as the article states. He couldnt have avoided doing that more strongly, " I am absolutely not protesting against the refereeing system". _________________ http://bringtheparty.blogspot.com/

I've not misunderstood the context. Materazzi chose to talk about an injustice, but avoided discussing an injustice which went against Juventus in the same game.
It's these sort of anti-Juventus comments that come from Inter and the Italian media on a regular basis that annoy me. It paints an image of Juventus forever being favoured by referees, whilst everyone else is being punished.
That isn't the case at all, but because the media forever goes on like that, that's what a lot of people think.
One perfect example was 2 games last season. One was Juventus-Fiorentina in Turin, and the other Milan-Palermo. In Juve-Fiorentina Gilardino clearly had a goal wrongly disallowed, and the media made a massive fuss of it.
In the Milan game they were given 2 incredibly bad penalty decisions, but nobody said a word about the refereeing performance except Palermo president Zamparini.
I wish the media would be fair and treat Juventus, Inter, Milan and all the teams fairly, but it just doesn't happen.
Talking of injustices, I see nobody is saying anything about the alleged racist chanting from Cagliari fans last weekend. Remember when it was Juventus fans? A massive media storm and a stadium ban. When it's Cagliari I read some comments from Moratti, but otherwise nothing much at all. No rush from the league to hand out a punishment, and no massive media campaign against Cagliari.
I hope Inter push the league for a punishment if Cagliari are guilty. _________________ Forza Juve!!!

OK, here was the full quote.
| Quote: | | “I am a little bit like Mourinho, I don’t’ like it when I suffer injustices. Did you hear what Felipe Melo said after his booking [against Genoa]? Shall I tell you? He said ‘you son of a bitch’ to the referee. Why was he not sent off? The laws must be equal for everyone. It happened in the Trofeo TIM as well – I told the referee that it was a shame he blew for a penalty [and Materazzi was dismissed].” |
Now defend Melo. _________________ http://bringtheparty.blogspot.com/

My intention was never to defend Melo, and I don't believe I have defended him in this instance. I was merely pointing out about Materazzi highlighting injustices and choosing an instance where Juventus benefitted, and completely ignoring an incident in the same game that went against Juventus.
I feel Materazzi was trying to open up the old "Juventus have the refs on side" story to give everyone the impression that Juve cheat, and I am extremely fed up with that.
Finally on injustices, it seems the FIGC has no intention of investigating alleged racist chanting from Cagliari fans at Balotelli. I'm not surprised though as it wasn't Juventus fans doing it. _________________ Forza Juve!!!

His comment was clearly about consistent standards of refereeing. He never implied Juve cheated.
Edit: Consistency of action is desirable by all law enforcers be it the police, a teacher or a referee. This is the simple point Materazzi is making. _________________ http://bringtheparty.blogspot.com/

I too wish there was consistency, but Materazzi chose to highlight Juventus to get at Juventus.
The differing attitude of the FIGC to alleged racism from 2 different sets of supporters unfortunately points to a lack of consistency in the punishments handed out by Italian authorities. The differing attitude of the media is shocking as well, even if I'm not surprised. _________________ Forza Juve!!!

As for Matrix, get real. He wants to make a point so he's going to pick a rival to talk about. OF COURSE. _________________ http://bringtheparty.blogspot.com/

You're the only person so far to give an opinion on the competition.
That's why you're one of my favourites.

The general feelgood factor that the Serie A season in full swing gives me!I like nothing more than dossing off a college class or 2 on a Monday morning to watch the highlights and digest the aftermath of the weekend's round of games!
