Yeah i'm disappointed they clinched the 4th spot now. Would have prefered if Roma or Lazio had of got it. With Italy chasing Germany to reclaim the 3rd spot in the coefficient rankings the last thing we need is an Italian team getting knocked out in the qualifers! _________________ Formally Known As Milan1899

Last year they sold Motta, D'Agostino and Pepe too and no sooner had they got D'Agostino back this year, they sent him off to Siena!
I had a look at their squad and I'm staggered at the amount of players they have out on loan

Pozzo is a wheeler dealer and I wouldn't be surprised if they unearth some more gems. Although Di Natale will probably have to carry them through the CL qualifiers. Draw permitting!

My friend asked who'd be a Palermo manager today? It's definitely the least secure job in european football but I bet you would never have a boring day. _________________ 'Il tifo e il nostro mestiere.'

I've had a couple and it's not exactly Serie A related but y'know there was a fan who died before England-Wales? If that happened in Italy, the English media would be all over it.

Udinese: one of those rare teams where when you see them bringing on defenders - you know they're on the offensive...
Good result tonight considering the 8 changes made from the weekend.

6 games so far today. 5 0-0 draws. Serie A is desperately trying to live up to the stereotype this weekend. _________________ Forza Juve!!!

Yeah .. It brings them to the top of Serie A ..
Udinese lead the table with 30 points after 14 games, one more than the unbeaten Juventus.. Milan are 3rd with 28 points, along side with Lazio..

A few of you have probably already seen this, but an interesting article on the popularity of three at the back in Italy:

I read this a couple of days ago. I think a back 3 is a natural development when often faced with narrow midfield systems. The success of Napoli and Udinese are proof of its success. I'm still not convinced of its long term value though. Conte has used it at times to effect this season, but the team plays better in a 4-3-3 imo. _________________ Forza Juve!!!
