as predictable as the lyon winning the french league season after season

Ooops.

It looks like Larry White might do it with Bordeaux though as Marseilles play Lyon this weekend and might drop points.

i should have written the old firm instead

The helicopter with the trophy will be hovering between Glasgow and Dundee next sunday. The Hibs have spoiled both sides of the old firm's title chances in the last few days.

Thats WBA down, I'm surprised they held on 'til the penultimate game. Newcastle next week???

I'm looking forward to Sunday because the top in Scotland and the bottom in England will still have a few surprises and will make great TV.

I think Celtic will probably win at home to Hearts, so it will be all about what Rangers do at Tannadice and Dundee Utd have a European place to play for.

I can't wait to see Shearer's face if the Toon go doon.

One of the bottom three always escapes, though, don't they? I think Cascarino pointed out that most of Man Utd's reserves would walk into the Hull first XI (I suspect, in truth that he could've said 'all' rather than most).

Add to that the fact that Fletcher and Ferdinand are likely to play with Tevez there on punishment duty and I would still be very, very nervous indeed if I supported Hull.

While I can't see it happening, I wouldn't be at all shocked if Hull get stuffed by the Man Utd 2nd XI, Newcastle bodge their survival effort (although as they're away from home and are long overdue an away result...) and Boro win and stay up on goal difference.  Stranger things have happened...

If anyone's getting away with it on the last day, I think it'll be the Geordies - Villa have been pretty woeful lately and have one of the worst home records in the prem. But I hope I'm wrong just to see the look on my Geordie boss's face!

They want to emulate their heroes the original bianconeri and have a stint in a lower division. Of course by the original bianconeri I mean Notts County.

Everyone loves an underdog, and it'd be great if Hull survive and the Geordies go down.
Plus they're all really thick, my boss is a Geordie and he's a c*nt and if they go down they'll go into administration, do a Leeds and never be seen again!

I had been pondering that same question for a while, but I've worked it out now.

I had thought that Newcastle were generally a well liked team, although I'm personally not too fond of them because their fans seem to have the notion that they have a God given right to a major trophy (see Liverpool + Premier League title), but of all the likely teams to be relegated I would want the Geordie-Tubbies to stay up for no other reason than I really enjoy Man United silencing 50,000 inbred retards on an annual basis.

Apparently they've got a "large, loyal fanbase", which is fair enough, but when you consider the typical Geordie Saturday afternoon alternatives of hanging around the Metro Centre with no money to spend or heading down the Bigg Market early to bag yourself a half-pissed absolute f**king hound (therefore reducing the chances of her puking blue WKD on you just as you're about to shoot your muck - remember, she's not totally wrecked yet as it's before 5:00pm) then it's no wonder that Newcastle's home games are always sell outs.

Where was I going with this again?..... oh yeah, "SHEEEEERUUUUUUUH!"

It's the "Messiah" shit that really gets my goat, and all without the slightest hint of irony. Just moronic.

Then there's Shearer, I can't stand him. He's a c***!

It's the 1996 Keegan rant for me and the fact that this massive club have actually won fook all for years.  Oh, and Shearer.
