Anyone support a team here or follow it much? It's looking good at the top, surprise package Grosseto currently lead, with rejuvenated Vicenza and Bari way up there, and Parma and Livorno starting to hit form.

Anyway, a heads up to anyone who fancies watching any live matches. This link shows Friday and Monday games for sure, possibly one on Saturday too. Treviso v Salernitana is currently on, and Parma v Bari on Monday evening:

That link also shows live Serie A, though the person running it is a Napoli fan so often just shows their games. Hopefully the Napoli v Salernitana coppa game will be on there next week, should be a good 'un that.

Really hope Parma come back. Serie A isn't quite the same without them.

I try my utmost best to catch Brescia games on TV or online but that is a rare thing indeed. It was only when Juve were in Serie B that I had easier access to the league and increased coverage...

I just keep on hoping brescia can get promoted so I can see their games fairly frequently...

Who the hell are Sassuolo??

Hope to see Parma and Brescia back in Serie A, and maybe Livorno.

The Serie B play off final second legs are tomorrow - Grosetto have a pretty good chance of Serie A football next year. Surely they've never been in A before?

According to Wikipedia 2007-2008 marked their debut season in Serie B. They've done quite well for themselves.

Scrub that - Grosetto let a 2-0 first leg lead go and lost 4-3 on agg to Livorno.  The final will be Livorno v Brescia/Empoli - the usual yo-yo teams

I'm hoping Brescia win the final as i've always had a soft spot for them and they have a young promising squad!

FORZA BRESCIA!

I really really really hope they dont mess this up.. been waiting quite a while to see them back..  not sure if the squad can cut it at serie a level though.. and Corioni has a reputation for selling off all good players that come thru the ranks for selling sake...
For YEARS we were hearing about a stadium redevelopment that never happened.. makes me wonder where all the money from the baggio years went...

Sassuolo sitting on the top of the table although Lecce second on same points. They had a great season last year. I don't think they have ever played in the top flight.

Just been looking at the Serie B table on this link...

http://soccernet.espn.go.com/tables?league=ita.2&cc=5739

Is this really the rule that 19th place team avoids the possibility of relegation where as 17th and 18th have a relegation play off?

If so that is ridiculous.

From Wiki...

In the relegation zone, the three last-placed teams (20th,21st and 22nd) are automatically demoted to Lega Pro Prima Divisione. If the 18th-placed team is 5 or more points ahead of the 19th-placed team, then the 19th-placed team becomes the 4th and final team to be demoted, otherwise the conditions for a playoff more commonly called playout exist.

If the playout is necessary, the 18th and 19th-placed teams are paired in a two-legged series with home-field advantage in the 2nd leg going to the 18th-placed team. The team with the higher aggregate score remains in Serie B while the loser becomes the fourth team relegated to Lega Pro Prima Divisione. If an aggregate tie exists at the end of regulation play of the 2nd leg, the 18th-placed team is saved, and the 19th-placed team is demoted.

Think that's right as I seem to remember watching the points gap with Verona pretty closely a coupla years ago.
