Read Zeds' post on 31st August (about a third of the way down on the previous page), and you should catch on. _________________ ACF FIORENTINA : FORZA LA VIOLA

Zeds thought that a former colleague had stuck a fake 'crack' on his windscreen, and he couldn't get it off.
Both Delboy and myself recommended natural, healthy urine to make the thing shift.
Urine contains amonia (the same thing they use in hair dye and, interestingly enough, crack cocaine) as it's known to soften adhesives without damaging delicate surfaces.
Turns out the crack in Zeds' windscreen was actually real, so he no doubt had to call Gavin from Autoglass who would have fixed his windscreen for free if Zeds was fully comp.
That's what the advert says anyway. _________________ ACF FIORENTINA : FORZA LA VIOLA

Don't believe that Mezz. They only fix it for free if there's a chip smaller than the size of a five pence peice.
Anything larger, or if its developed into a crack, windscreen needs replacing which costs £50.

BTTMMU: Not having a 1960's car that you may be able to replace the windscreen for at £50 a pop.
Throw in heated front screen and rain sensor and you're looking at the better part of £200. Unfortunately technology is seldom kind to me.

I think that the deal is you pay a £50 excess, and your insurance company picks up the rest of the tab.
That's how it worked when I did it, anyway - although I had it as part of the insurance policy; the claim had no effect on my premium for the following year.
Without the insurance angle, I'd have been looking at about £300 for a replacement - this was about six/eight years ago.

Yeah, some kids broke the back window to my car (they had obviously just seen me put my laptop in the boot, only left the car for 2mins) and I had to pay £60 excess to the insurance company which meant I could call autoglass to come and replace the window for me. The claim did not affect the insurance premiums. This was last year on fully comp.

Can anybody recommend a broadband provider, preferably with no usage cap? I've had enough of AOL now.
I'm possibly looking at O2, Be and Virgin. Comments on those, and other suggestions are welcome. _________________ Forza Juve!!!
