I think it's great that Florence and Roma are considering new/improving stadiums but i don't get why the Mayor of Florence has to go off on one with an overly ambitious pet project of building more commercial space elsewhere in the city when no doubt businesses are closing. It's typical of egotistical politicians wanting to be remembered by all as the great guy who built a great complex. I mean if the Major really gave a shit why isn't he proposing that a new stadium with the proposed facilities be built on the current stadium site and give the stadium to the club for it's market value. He obviously just wants to build a whole new complex to satisfy himself when there's a higher risk it could turn into a white elephant of empty commercial space because it's not centrally located. It's the old "build it and they will come" mentality which will never wash in these economic times.

Is Mihajlovic hated by the fans because he always blames the players and never himself, and credits himself for anything that the players do actually do right, or is it for a different reason? Maybe he blamed the fans as well?
Anyone but himself.

It's hard to say if he was ever liked by the fans to begin with. If things continue as they are then he won't be around too long. He is rivalling Steve Kean in the unpopularity stakes.

Something had to change as another mediocre season is on the cards.

Been discussing how we can increase traffic to the forum and one suggestion has been that we change the team thread titles to the team names rather than the Marcello Salas and Florentia Viola ones we currently have.
My view on the Fiorentina thread is that it started out like this as the old C4 forum only allowed a limited number of pages per thread and, like Fiorentina a the time, the old thread had died. An old forum member started up a new thread under Florentia Viola as a reminder of the team that got us through the bad days of 2002/03 and it has stuck ever since.
I'm in favour of changing the title to Forza Fiorentina or something similar - what do the other Viola fans think?

I'd be in favour of changing Salas (as I was many moons ago when the change was veto'd), but surely anyone with a passing interest in Italian football would know who is being referred to by Florentia Viola?
Having said that, anything to help bring new users, as the forums can be very quiet these days.

I'm quite attached to the Florentia Viola name as it reminds me of the hope in 2002/03 after the despair of the summer and of tatty fake shirts from the San Lorenzo market (still have my Rigano shirt somewhere) but a name change might attract new members who aren't aware of the history.

You'd be surprised!
I'm up for changing the name of this thread as I am with the Juve thread too.
Every little helps and all that. _________________ ACF FIORENTINA : FORZA LA VIOLA

Thread title updated.
There are only really three people who use this thread and two of them have already agreed that it made sense to try a revamped name, so I figured that there was no sense in waiting.
Looks weird though! _________________ ACF FIORENTINA : FORZA LA VIOLA

Yeah it does look weird and I'm only an infrequent visitor. The only thing I'd suggest is mixing it up a bit as it's gonna look a bit boring/generic if all the threads end up as such going down the main page:
Forza Juventus!
Forza Roma
Forza Fiorentina! etc..
So for example, I'd put this as something Viola related then Milan's Campioni 2010/11, and use "Per sempre Roma" etc so it's not 100% "Forza." Maybe let the regulars in each choose something relevant and obvious enough that any new people will still know what they're looking at.
ps. apologies for being a bit pedantic/anal.

Good job in changing the name of the thread, although I have to admit I didn't notice until I came into the thread and read your posts.

Taking Phil's comment on board regarding there possibly being too many 'Forza!' threads, I've made a quick change to the thread title again.
Nothing's permanent, so if you preferred the previous title or even the one before then it can easily be changed back! _________________ ACF FIORENTINA : FORZA LA VIOLA

I'm not superstitious but is a change of thread name responsible for a change in fortunes???
Lets not change it again....at least not until we next lose.

Fantastic result against Milan at the weekend, but it's the two upcoming games against Roma and Inter that are making my bum squeak at the moment.
Both games should be on ESPN though, so at least we'll get to celebrate / commiserate in real time!

Absolutely batshit mental - Delio Rossi subs Adem Ljajić, Adem Ljajić comes off and immediately starts sarcastically clapping Rossi.......who goes for him.....and boy does he go for him

Never seen anything like it. Always thought Rossi had a lot of class _________________ www.juvefc.com
