Wonderful goal by Pazzini today and it should be a big boost for him with breaking the drought. We climb to the 2nd place again with 6 points heading Milan and Lazio.I'll be more pleased if Genoa stopped Juventus tonight. Would it be daydream if we fight for Scudetto this season? It's a good chance actually no the ground that we are in good form and Milan and Juventus are dealing their problems.

Time to conquer Villareal!

1-0 up at half time through a Vieri goal.

Not bad away to Villarreal...

The Vieri goal came about after some brilliant build-up play.
Villareal equalised from a header off a Rossi free kick.
Still not a bad result at the Madrigal.

By the way how on earth can Man Utd allow Rossi to leave?

Good result away at Villareal, that'll do for starters.

On Rossi, he banged them in for Utd reserves but couldn't really take that form into the first team. That and the fact Sir Alex thought he'd have Solskjaer still playing.

Interesting that Arsenal and United raided Barca (for Cesc and Pique) and Parma (for Rossi and Lupoli) at the same time and only the Spaniards remain in England.

Rossi has been sold to Villareal, but United have first dibs if he is ever transferred in the future.

Poor Ref in Villarreal's match. We should have grabbed a 3-1 victory that night.

I think the style of Premiership doesn't suit Rossi as he's weak in body and his skills could be well used in La Liga or Serie A.

PS,actually i can't see the future of Lupoli here as there has benn Vieri and Osvaldo in front of him and Cacia for the future.

Watched tonight's match live through the glory that is Bet365.

I think we probably shaded it overall, but our shooting was absolutely diabolical with Pazzini being the biggest culprit. Kuzmanovic was a close second (f*ck me, he looks like Ibrahimovic... poor sod).

Mutu and Semioli were decent but never looked all that dangerous, and thank God for Sebastien Frey.

Napoli on Wednesday.

Just got back from a long weekend in Firenze and Tuscany. I am not exaggerating when I say it is the most accomplished, stunning place I've seen in my life.

My favourite place in the world, jaw-dropping, even the most rundown building is a work of art!

I guess that this time of year would have been one of the best times to see Firenze too, Bracey... it's absolutely mobbed in the summer, but even with the crowds it's a stunning city and will remain my favourite place on earth for the foreseeable future.

Also, my favourite restaurant is there too, Trattoria Baldovino just off of Piazza Santa Croce.

Owned and operated by a Scotsman too!

I'll be in Florence end of this month but theyre playing away that weekend (and I'm running a marathon so probably wouldn't fancy sitting down cramping through a match ) ... but looking forward to the city anyway. Still trying to get a response from the club re booking tickets for match in february, emailed twice and wrote them a letter but nothing back yet. any advice?

Although it's hardly the crowning moment of our season to date, we absolutely destroyed Elfsborg this evening. We could have had about 12.

Donadel's goal was a screamer, and we looked really strong all over the pitch despite Mutu, Pazzini, Dainelli and Montolivio not starting and Kuzmanovic and Pasqual coming on as late subs.

All looks good in the 'hood at the moment...

I've never watched Fiorentina in Florence without actually being in the Artemio Franchi, so I couldn't say for sure.

I would imagine that Bar Stadio and Bar Marisa out by the stadium would be safe bets, but I can't say that I've stumbled upon any bar in Central Florence showing live football any time I've been there...

There is a good bar at the east end of Via del Corso (might be the Borgo Degli Albizi by then) which shows Serie A matches live, it's on your left as you walk away from the city centre, or try the bars in Piazza del Mercato Centrale, just behind the San Lorenzo market. I've managed to watch Fiorentina matches in these bars when they've been away.
