I'm in Barcelona over New Year's. Wanna catch the game v Mallorca. Does anyone know if i'll be able to get tickets on the day?

Haven't been myself, but a mate of mine bought tickets on the official Barcelona website and picked them up at the stadium about two hours before the game.

You should be able to buy tickets on the day, as I can't see a match against Mallorca attracting a 90,000+ gate...

I went to a home game v Recreativo last season - about the same standard as Mallorca I suppose. I went to the stadium tcket office 2 hours before kick off and there were no queues and a very friendly English speaking attendant who showed me what was available on his PC monitor. There was a cracking little bar opposit the ticket office too (think it was called Mondo or Mondeo) - I paid €40 for a good seat in the first tier behind a goal. You could try buying tickets from a Servicaixa ATM machine (excellent idea, eh?) or buying from a tout if no luck.

Have a good'un - very jealous!

Thanks for the info folks.
Great news, so hopefully we can get the tickets on the day.
Ferret, is there much to do around the stadium other than the bar, as we'll probably have a few hours to kill after getting the tickets?
Also, what's the best mode of transport for getting back out after the game? metro?taxi? Our hotel will be near Las Ramblas.

From what I can remember it's full of brothels round near the Nou Camp, that might keep you occupied for a few hours.

We walked about 15 mins to the nearest metro and then got a direct underground train to Liceu (on Las Ramblas).

There's a good club museum (if it's open) attached to the ground and a massive Nike/Barca club shop and you might want to soak up the atmosphere/take some pics etc.

If you've got time, look at https://www.servicaixa.com/nws/de...3WWT09W8B49MKnQG0mTYnFDypnQ2xnwwQ!-1914403450!NONE?sesId=11224578&codSTK=CAS!servicaixa and maybe print the stadium plan off to show to the ticket attendant.

Just got back. Had a blast. The footy game, getting tickets etc. went very smoothly. So thanks again for the tips.

A shame Messi didn't play, but still an entertaining game nevertheless. Tickets were a tad expensive at 67 Euros (with the blasted exchange rate as it is!) but still not bad considering we were in the second tier, bang on the half way line.

Ooh and an unexpected bonus was when we were hanging around the entrance to the player's car park before the game and saw Hleb, Valdes, Pinto, Gudjohnsen, Messi, Keita all driving in. They were all in Audi's, which I guess is the Barca company car, except for Eidur Gudjohnsen who turns up to 'work' in an Escolade!!!

Good evening Myles, good evening boy and girls. I've just watched my first Italian match of the season. It was good. I really hope this football lark takes off in Italy. With a big sexy star like Beckham I'm sure it will tempt many Italians to try out this sport.

It was good to see it on TV again. I'm getting sore eyes watching calcio on the net. Surely the BBC could cut down some of those astronomical wages and grab some Italian football rights. I know I wouldn't begrudge my license fee so much if they did.

Maybe a few congratulatory emails to the beeb wouldn't go amiss.

Despite them telling us what was happening before it actually did and Mark effin Bright, it was just great to see Italian footy on the telly again. Just felt so normal.

Milan play bremen tonight in the uefa cup. Of all the rubbish quality streaming sites, which site would everyone recommend being the best? Or even better, any channels?

I'm off to Milan to see Inter take on Man U. I'm getting all tingly !

And I've got a ticket for the away leg at Old Trafford! Hope after tonight it's going to be worth it. Work will be hell otherwise...

Havn't seen many Charlton games this year 'cos of work, only ones have been Sheff Wed away and Palace home. Was impressed by Hillsborough, proper big old ground.

Went to Brazil-Italy a couple of weeks ago, and think I have everything sorted for Juve-Napoli and Samp-Milan this weekend. I'm at the opposite end to Samp's ultras which is annoying but should be pretty close to Milan's.
