Erm anyway great goal by Balotelli and Pazzini did well to get on the scoresheet though I'd prefer it if Matri was on the team instead.

The choice was between Pepe and Giaccherini. He said he did not call Pepe because he would be useful for a different gamestyle. As for Giaccherini, he can be more useful as he is able to play in different roles.

One thing that surprises/puzzles me is that Fabrizio Miccoli is consistently overlooked, he scored 16 goals this season and assisted on a lot of goals as well, I don't know what he has to do to get noticed, aside from moving to a bigger team.

so all the time Pepe sucked he kept getting picked, and now that he has become a pretty decent player he doesn't?

Pepe hasn't played so much in the 2nd half of the season, partly because of fitness problems, but also because Conte favoured a 3-5-2 at times, and he preferred Lichsteiner, Caceres, Estigarribia and De Ceglie as wing backs.

The same goes for Matri who hasn't played so much recently.
