England's fight and energy against 11 men was what impressed me last night.  When they were knocking it round against ten I knew people would make more of that than it was.

Walcott did well though, bless his cotton socks.

Jesus!...why is every one in love with Theo Walcott all of a sudden. So what he scored a hat trick, Wenger himself said it wont happen again...i mean even giampaolo Pazzi scored a hatrick against England when they first opend Wembley (i should know i was there) doesn't seem like he ever scored another hatrick for us did he?...People should stop reading tabloid news papers and start making opinions for them selfs. I mean according to the Sun England are second favorites to win the World Cup behind Argentina...please tell me if im wrong but doesn't that sound a bit ridiculous? Can we please talk about how De Rossi is one the worlds greatest centre mid's and he's able to prove that by scoring individual goals and dictating play like he did against Georgia.

Nice to see Maggio and Santacroce get the call.

But........ Where is Cassano or Quags?

Why Pepe?  And why keep with Toni??????

I'm glad Del Piero hasn't been included and Camoranesi and Buffon may not figure, I hope Chiellini doesn't play any part too.

Juve need this break (as a team, not for the coach who could survive thanks to the bloody international break) mentally as much as physically (to me they have not looked match fit at times) and hopefully we can get going after the break with a fit squad.

We need Chiellini if healthy.  To me, Italia before club

So do Juve! Have to disagree I'm afraid, Duncan.

I'm sure Italy should have enough quality to handle Bulgaria and Montenegro even with a fair few players out. But given the problems Juve have at the moment (and Roma, too) I would want to see our best players come back after the break fit and raring to go!

Not in love with what I saw tonight. More long balls at the end.

Rossi should be a definite for the Azzurri. He's got it.

Definitely. I thought Pepe was alright as well but still worryingly ineffective up front. Thankfully Quagliarella is now in the squad instead of Toni - although Montenegro at home should be a different proposition to a tricky away tie

I thought it was an ok performance seeing as a lot of new faces were playing.  I still am a bit worried about the attack not scoring goals, but I think it will be ok.

Tough place to play and the defence looked really good.  Canna and Chiellini looked awesome, and I thought Rossi looked very lively.

Rossi is a good player. The only slight problem he has an an attacker is his physical stature.

Yeah, imagine him and Giovinco up against Terry and Ferdinand. One way or t'other, it would be murder!

So what about Amauri, would he be welcome in the Azzurri, has he ever give a definite answer on which country he wants to play for?
His agent still touts him round the Brazil or Italy jersey.
"Whatever the jersey, it will be a good thing for the player because we are talking about Italy or Brazil - two really great sides."
It just doesn't seem right to me, Camoranesi never acted in this manner did he?

Also Ive been watching a little bit of the World Futsal Championships on Eurosport, not one of Italy's starting 5 were Italian, I think four were Brazilian born!
not that it will make any any headlines anywhere like

Rossi will be ok.  Just play him with a target man and he will be fine.

I wish we would go with a 442 with Rossi and Gila upfront.   I think we aren't scoring because the midfield is being overloaded by the other team and cutting off a decent supply.

italy should not have to kill the game in the manner that they did, they are supposed to be much much better than that...
kinda shameful to be honest

why didnt lippi let rossi take a game, at least as a sub, i was really excited to see him.. oh well

Like I said before, we are being overun in midfield.  Need to tighten that up and get rid of the 433 for now.  A nice 3 points for sure, but not impressive.  Need to be better and tighter against the bigger teams

Thought Amelia played very well, as did the defence except for the Vucinic goal, but it was well taken.
