No contest there whatsoever, Cesc quite literally waltzed past the CB's for that 2nd goal
Woeful defensive showing from Villarreal, ruthless from Barca - Nice to see Sanchez score.
Thiago is something else altogether.
yet another year of 2 teams dominating La liga, doesn't make for much of a season, Classico's should be good though... _________________ www.juvefc.com

I'm beginning to be irked the the one-sidedness of la liga games involving the big two. Yes they are awesome to watch at times, but we just don't see 'matches' involving them anymore. Quite a sad, really.

this one's a decent alternative: http://www.firstrowsports.eu/
Gutted for Sanchez, out for 8 weeks.
Like Zeds I've somewhat given up on La Liga given that only one of 2 side's is going to win it for the forseeable future. Still throws up some good games now and again.
On the other hand, Serie A has Napoli, Inter, Milan, Roma, Lazio and Udinese fighting for the title and so much excitement to boot - look at this weekend for example: 35 goals ! _________________ www.juvefc.com

Fair enough to say La Liga is uncompetitive, but it's untrue to say only one team will win. Real are a fantastic team and do have an excellent chance of winning it this year.
I agree that Serie A is much more unpredictable. League Two will be similarly competitive and the winner coming from any one of 8 teams. Mouth-watering stuff.
The Prem is also wide open. Any one of Man City or Man Utd could win it this year.
I could watch Barcelona play against traffic cones though, and without wishing to be too harsh on the quality of some La Liga teams, I frequently do. But the problem isn't so much that the rest of La Liga is rubbish. It's that Barcelon and Real are so good. The Champions League should be fascinating again this year. I can't see Man Utd getting anything other than another total pasting if they play Barca again this season, but I really do think Man City will provide tough opposition for them, especially if Barca have Puyol and Pique injured when they play them.

My point is that it will be either Real or Barca, the rest will be a country mile behind. Don't get my wrong, i absolutely love Barca - They embody everything that is 'right' about the game; It's just a shame the compeition aren't up to much.
Clever play by both of the buggers, though - Barca drop a few points by drawing and Real make it look like hard work for a little while. 'look, look....it's still competitive.' My arse. They're not fooling anyone.
As for the Prem, once again, i feel the competition is so far behind United and City. Arsenal have missed the start altogether, Chelsea look like they may need a season to 'bed in' and make that transition whilst Liverpool, as always, will flatter to deceive.
Credit to Fergie, he's a whily old fox - Buy's his players nice and early. No faffing about.
I agree on the CL, it's looks set to be a cracker - My only hope it that we see the likes of Dortmund and Lille progress to the latter stages - They play fantastic football and have players that should be appreciated by fans of every league - Sow, Hazard, Gotze, Gundogan and the majestic Kagawa. _________________ www.juvefc.com

No idea what I was doing yesterday predicting Man City domination of anything. I must have had a severe blow to the head. I thought Napoli were excellent yesterday and deserved to win. Best display I've seen from an Italian team since Mourinho set off that Icelandic volcano, causing Barca to travel to Milan using National Express.
I agree that Barca games are one-sided in La Liga, but I'd argue that's because Barca are so far ahead of all football teams inside and outside Spain, (bar Real). They tend to wallop everybody in the Champions League too. Okay Milan got a draw but it was a fluke and born partly out of an eccentric team selection on Pep's part. You go to the Camp Nou and you get a hiding, whether you're Sporting Gijon, Bayern Munich, Lyon or Inter.
It could have been Almeria or Getafe rather than Man Utd in the CL final for all the Glazers' finest contributed to the game. Contrary to the popular belief that Messi would struggle "at Stoke on a wet Tuesday night" Barca games would be just as one-sided if they were playing in the Prem every week.
You could argue that La Liga is the most interesting league because it's the only league that contains a team capable of actually competing with Barcelona. But yeah, as a committed armchair fan, I'd rather be watching a European Super League rather than Man Utd, City, Barca and Real just giving teams a hiding most weeks.

....and as if to illustrate your point, SG, Barca go and do that !
incredible, light-years ahead of not just other sides in La Liga, but any other side in the world. Plenty of people arguing for and against, but i have to admit, this Barca side are the greatest team i've seen.
Yes, La Liga will be between Real and Barca, but i suppose it's worth tuning in to watch the 6 furlong sprints as well as the classic(o)s. _________________ www.juvefc.com

Watching Barca moves me in a similar way to when I listen to beautiful music or watch a great film. I feel we are being spoilt and fear that we may not see a team like this again in our lifetime.

Has anyone ever bought Barcelona tickets? If so, which would be the best way to get hold of a pair? I’m planning to pop over in December to see their final home game of the year.
Any tips/help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

What a game of football tonight! Sensational display by Varas! Kanoute wins the 'cock of the weekend' award - well done.

We bought tickets from La Caixa when we went, similar to cashpoint machines at most branches of the bank. Easy to use and you pay face value.
