I thought they might struggle this season. They had Pelligrini at the helm for a few years and he build the team in his image and enjoyed great success. Its always difficult when someone like that leaves.
Having said that, I didn't expect them to be this bad this season, though they have been unlucky.

The Yellow Submarines finally won a game!
Atletico were leading one nil at home against 10 man Mallorca and still conceded a last minute equaliser.
Real Madrid were terrible again. Kaka looks out of place.

Make that 4-0.
Surprising based upon the Royal's starting line up:
Dudek
Arbeloa
Albiol
Metzelder
Drenthe
Diarra
Granero
Van der Vaart
Guti
Raúl
Benzema _________________ ACF FIORENTINA : FORZA LA VIOLA

Was thinking much the same thing - pretty shocked to see those names in the starting line up. Funny stuff
Given getReal's habit of giving coaches the boot when things don't go their way, surely Pellegrini is on the way out ? Are there any rumours about a replacement yet ? _________________ www.juvefc.com - Vote for your Juve XI

For me Pellegrini was never the right man for Real Madrid. He has great integrity, and a great knack of building a team and having them play the right way. His success was built at a well-run club, with little pressure and he was given the time and space wo construct a team over a few years. He's a Wenger-esque type of figure that isn't suited to the madness that surrounds Real Madrid.

Ok, here's when I make a statement in the hope of returning to this forum in years to come and gloating for my genius talent-spotting. Last night an 18 year old came on for Racing Santander called Sergio Canales. I'd never heard of him before and he didn't score or provide an assist or anything. But believe me when I say that Sergio Canales will be an absolute star in a few years. Exceptionally talented and appeared to read the game better than any player I've seen of a similar age. Watch this space...
