Totodeath 2012

As we embark upon a New Year, with the potential for celebrity departures from this mortal coil, the rules:

1. Choose 13 celebrities/famous people who you suspect will be making acquaintances with the grim reaper during the period 1000 hours 4 January 2012 and 2359 hrs 31 December 2012, and list them here. The celebs must all be living at the time of your coupon's submission.

2. The winner of this tasteful tournament is the person who scores the highest number of famous fatalities in the calandar year.

3. All nominations on coupons must be living at the time of submission. If it transpires that the nominated celeb is no longer with us, a substitution may be made.

4. If a celebrity's imminent demise is announced (along the lines of 'the King's life  is drawing peacefully to its close'), the celebrity may not be included on a totodeath coupon submitted after the announcement. Celebs who have been clinging on to life for some time after such an anouncement (e.g. Ronnie Biggs and Abdel Basset al Megrahi) are legitimate nominees should you wish to choose them.

5. Use of celebrity deathwatch type sites will be frowned upon by totodeath purists.

6. Taking active measures to increase your totodeath score is strictly forbidden, and will result in disqualification from the tournament.

7. The prize for victory in the totodeath tournament is to be crowned as 'Foro Angel of Death 2012'.

8. Members of the PC Brigade are asked to note that this competition is a spot of (macabre) fun, with its origins deep in the midsts of time and the days when the old Channel 4 FI forum was a thriving community as opposed to the long dead set of electrons it has been for some time.  If you don't like it, don't participate - although if you have some favourite celebs you wish to see live for years yet, it is a good idea to enter, since being nominated as part of the totodeath competition appears to lead to survival for most nominees.

I was going to, but I read a story in the Hornchurh Echo on 17th June 2004 stating that Bob had been heard emitting one single cough followed by a low, damp-sounding fart whilst asleep at some point during his life which I took to mean that his death was imminent, subsequently ruling him out of our competition this year.

Oh well, back to the drawing board...
