anyone have any idea why there is no 2pm games today as per normal? inter game at 5pm and all other games at 7.45pm. is this a once off or is this to continue thru the season?

It's the same for next weekend aswel, according to their website, they don't have the times for week 3 onwards but i'd say you could take it that it'll be like this for the rest of the season.

I see omnisport are doing a season pass now >> http://www.football-italia.net/livematches.html
If anyone here used them before, is the picture good in full screen?

Not too keen on ESPN Serie A round up with all the dodgy music. Did anyone notice the really scary guy in the crowd when Genoa scored the winning goal?

To say I was "not too keen" would be an understatement Giancarlo!
For those who haven't seen it, imagine a highlights programme made for 14 year old US based MTV fans who've never watched a football match in their lifes and expect the sport to be "jazzed up a bit" and you wouldn't be far wrong.
Fast editing & camera angles switching 5 times whenever they show a goal clip, shocking music instead of commentary (which encouraged me to watch with the sound down), the top 10 (yes 10!) goals of the week, the top 5 "plays" of the week (which included Amauri beating a defender with a fairly routine stepover), and an annoying habit of showing the same clip over and over and over and over again!
Apart from that it was great...
Here's hoping the live footage will just concentrate on what football fans actually want to see, footage of Football.

Summed up perfectly.
I don't need Mika or the bloody Predator soundtrack playing, I'm too busy trying to watch a goal from 15 different angles......... _________________ "melo-momo and the crazy little trio behind amauri are amazing" - Gurjio 28-10-09

James Richardson:
| Quote: | I know what you mean about the serie a highlights, but bad as they are, they're actually an improvement on last year. So far, anyway.
They're also nothing to do with ESPN. Like the bundesliga highlights, this is a show provided to all rights holders worldwide by the league itself, and produced for them, funnily enough, by the happy folks at Milan Channel. That man Galliani! |

Wow, if the highlights are not as bad as last year, they must have been something to behold then!
If the highlights are produced by the Milan Channel for a worldwide audience, that'll probably explain the endless clips of what was a well worked but fairly routine goal in the Chievo game!
I was going to say I'll get used to them, but to be honest when all you want to see is a quick batch of highlights of your team the streamed Omni TV clips on the Football Itaila site are probably better. No doubt I'll dip in again to the roundup next week though, hopefully the preview programme on Friday is a little bit tamer...
Looking forward to the coverage this weekend though, they couldn't have hoped for two better ties on the same weekend this early in the season.
