Hiya Jay I think we are going to have a real problem this season. Somehow we managed to get 4th place and win the CL last season but I believe we are riding our luck. Gilardino obviously can't hack it and Pips and FatRon are going to be in the treatment room a lot of the time. If Kaka gets injured we are totally effed.
I'm pleased with Oddo though. It seems he really was worth all that fuss.

Not really carried away by that Genoa win. Great to start on a winning form, but Genoa are too naive and soft. Gila is just, well, Gila. He's a poor footballer, that one. Which is why I'm mad about not signing a striker. Expect to see a lot of R99 and Pippo on the injury list.

Verno & sms - I agree with both of you about our forwards. Pippo and Ronnie, to my mind, add up to one striker because they each spend about half the season injured.

Well, we've a couple of days left to buy another striker

How does everyone feel about our CL draw - Benfica, Celtic and Shaktar Donestsk ?
We should be able to get through this group. I'd like it to be a little less hard work than last season.
I feel a bit sorry for Roma having to go back to Manc Land so soon. I bet ITV are thrilled. How tedious.

Reasonable enough draw, I think.

I see it was amost a Milan clean sweep at the big Uefa bash tonight with Kaka, Seedorf and Maldini winning the forward, midfielder and defender of the year and Kaka getting player of the year.

Seedork ? He played like a fanny again last night.

I'm glad we won last night even though the game was pretty much insignificant.
Everyone did ok. I thought the prob in the first half was that we had nobody to get on the end of Oddo's passes. Great goal from Pips. He is worth 10 of Gila.
Another dodgy goal from a corner. I get scared every time someone gets a set-piece against us. I think Carletto is going to have to work on that.

Hope the old geezers aren't too knackered to face Fiorentina on monday.

Watching the Sevilla game makes me wonder once again why we don't use the wings. We need wide players, otherwise we'll just be too predictable as is the case now. Trying to play through the middle time and time again makes it too tediuos and easy to read/stop. But I guess wing-play died the day CA became our coach. In any case, forza Milan. Now the three points against Fiorentina.

Ah, well. Not a good display. Probably due to fatigue. Fiorentina deserves thier point though.

I knew we would draw this game. I had a feeling in my bones. Why aren't Channel 5 showing this tonight instead of Roma - Siena ? Bah humbug.

Apparently poor old Gila was jeered all night. That isn't going to help his shaky confidence. Who reckons he's out next year ?

In all fairness to Gila he needs crosses. It would have been better for both Pippo and Gila to have played together as Pippo looked jaded(and missed an embarrassing chance ). Caro reverted back to type yesterday by subbing a mid for mid, forward for forward and def for def. Also one forward in the Serie A doesn't work - that is for europe only.
