Thanks Luppo, I noticed that last night, looking forward to their highly impartial and knowledgable coverage. Wonder how long it will take them to mention catenaccio.

Great result. We needed that win to have a chance of progressing to the knock out stages. Good atmosphere as well but not too sure about the ref.

The atomosphere wasnt great at the stadium.  The curva wasnt even full. The stadium was empty.  We were terrible... cant score goals.  Guberti was playing so i dont understand why he was taken off.  Doni is now injured and will miss the match with Inter on Sunday.  Not a good performance.

I must say that the referee was shocking. Yellow cards yes, but reds? Does he have an apartment on Via Aurelia?

Very important win, to come back from a goal down showed great spirit but I'll agree with RG that generally we played really poorly.

As soon as I saw Okaka and Baptista were up front together I knew it was going be a frustrating game to watch. Sorry but I'll have to completely disagree with you there Duncan, personally I thought Okaka was one of the worst players on the pitch. He didn't hold the ball up well enough, constantly stood in an offside position, didn't win many headers (apart from his goal of course) and generally didn't look alert enough around the penalty area. I know he's still young, he's also homegrown which is good to see but I seriously doubt he's going to go on to be a major player for us.

Of course I'll be delighted if he goes on to score 20 goals this season!

Here's hoping for a good performance against Inter, we'll certainly need one the way they are playing in the league. Think the key will be how our midfield copes with Sneijder, De Rossi is going to have to be disciplined and watch out for him joining the attack from midfield.

Forza Roma!

Great team performance especially with all the injuries. They did well to get a deserved point at the home of the probable champions.

Ranieri is right on this one.  Inter constantly fouled the whole game.  As much as Menez falls down, tonight he was purposely kicked and pushed.  And Vieira is freakin' f@c#!!  Fickhead!!!

And to give credit where credit is due, I thought Pizarro was excellent tonight.  Good all around game.

Good result and great spirit!

oh yeah, and Vieira is a f'n @ssgoblin!

In Mirko we trust!

Excellent performance considering the injuries before and during the match. Roma never really looked under that much pressure apart from the very start of the 2nd half, which considering the run Inter are on in the league is to be applauded. Thought Menez and Vucinic both looked dangerous linking up together as they had done against Milan, hopefully Mirko's injury isn't too bad and they can get some more time to build up an understanding.

Another major plus was having Motta back at right back, thought he was excellent going forward and apart from a few lapses looked solid defensively, surely he'll be a starter from now on. Great save by Julio Sergio from Milito as well.

Downside was obviously losing De Ross with a fractured cheekbone, hopefully with the masks they wear nowadays he will be able to be back playing quite soon. Vieira really should have walked for that challenge.

Still dont like Vucinic...cant score simple goals...how did he miss the shot on goal with only the keeper to beat..INSANE! Faty was terrible... Menez played well and Mexes finally played well.  With half the team missing the draw is a great result but 1 point means we are still at the wrong end of the table.

de rossi will be out for at least 3 weeks.

Very much enjoyed the ESPN transmission.

Roma played some good stuff - in spite of the anti-football tactics used by some Inter players - and did well in the face of losing De Rossi, Mexes suffering an injury and Mirko too. Menez impressive also.

Without Sneijder in the first half, Inter lacked authority.

Yep, loving the coverage, with a studio presentation at half time and a co-commentator ESPN were really spoiling us!
