At the risk of  bringing this to a premature end, could I point out that there is going to be enough vaccine available for every person in the country to be immunised if they want to be. I've no doubt that there will be considerable pressure from public information films ("Charlie says he get vaccinated against distemper, so you should get innoculated against swine flu"), but just because there are 100 million doses of the vaccine on the stocks (AIUI two injections are required, 14 days apart) doesn't mean we're al going to be pushed into the local medical centre and told 'roll up your sleeve'.

Vaccination requires consent and it would require legislation in parliament to create a mandatory vaccination policy; also, it's clear from most news sources that the NHS will have to prioritise the administration of the vaccine, because you run the risk of innoculating people who are statistically at low risk of dying from swine flu (say fit 20-somethings with no underlying health issues) before getting round to those at considerable risk (Granny Miggins, aged 82, not as steady on her pins as she once was; those with suppressed immune systems, etc, etc).

Just something to consider before we go off on a debate about some global medicinal conspiracy by the Bielderburg group/the illuminati/the General Synod of the Church of England....

Sorry to put the question to you, I was umming & erring with the idea myself when the first one came along but when a few of the older ladies at work heard I was thinking against it they hit me with the same question and I couldn't say no after that.
