Why couldn't Shaq Attack get a game at Bayern? He always looked like mustard whenever I saw him play either for ze Germans or Switzerland. He does look a cross between Dominique Pinon and Graham Norton. That's not what held him back is it?

I actually wasn't impressed with him in the WC but then statistically he did well in the WC so flies in the face of my opinion i guess.

Thanks, Dels. I'm staying in a hotel on Sauchiehall Street that seems to have a decent review. Only one night, no need to splash the cash. I was going to stay with a friend in East Kilbride but as I don't have a ticket for her husband it seemed like I would be throwing it in his face, so to speak. Maybe I'll only tell her once I've been and gone. There's no emoticon for coward, is there?

Anything to be wary of at Celtic Park and environs? I've got out of Ibrox alive so I'm experienced ! However, we did draw that night so that Rangers could go through with us to the next stage (Adriano scored for us, if I remember: whatever happened to him?). If we win how will the natives react?

The Celtic fans will be fine when they get spanked by your lot. They've been put out of Europe twice this season anyway. You'll be fine.

Thought I'd pop up here ahead of Celtic-Inter. Watched most of the second half yesterday and thought 'my this Inter side is a bit good'. Realized they were up against 10 men pretty quickly!

Still, and I realize I'm late to the party here, Fredy Guarin has turned into a bit of a footballer.

blackandblue: you'll be fine in Glasgow. Where are you coming from?

Hi Markieboy, where have you been?

I'm flying up from Reading, otherwise known as 'Verno Country'! Got a ticket from a good friend. Been to Ibrox (with Inter) but never been to Celtic Park.

Guarin was always good, just had some blips along the way. I thought he was going to be the next Cambiasso. Not quite there yet.

I didn't realize I'd been away so long I had to rejoin!

Hope you enjoy CP. It's a sellout for the first time this season, and the atmosphere is usually pretty good. It's certainly our biggest ocassion for a long time, I would say since playing Ajax in October 2013.

When this game was drawn I wasn't that bothered about it. I love my club and I love hearing about our European Cup win in 1967, but sometimes I think the nostalgia obscures the football here-and-now. Wistful bullshit was all over the coverage of the English FA Cup last week, and to me it was just a reminder that - for the most part - that tournament is a bit shit.

To some extent the same is true of Celtic and of Inter. The current generation of players isn't anything like as good as 1967, or 1972 for that matter.

The other thing that made me less bothered is that neither side looked in good shape back in December. Inter hadn't won in five league matches and while Celtic were on a nine game domestic winning run we'd been deservedly beaten by RB Salzburg, drawn clumsily away at Astra Giurgiu and lost a screwball comedy match in Zagreb. We weren't creating nearly enough chances and were struggling to convert the ones we did create. I thought that our best hope was that Mancini could work some reverse magic, make some terrible signings in January, and turn a bad Inter season into an awful one.

That hasn't happened of course. Inter are a little flaky, but it isn't looking like an awful season and at least two of those signings look like intelligent acquisitions. I'm looking forward to seeing Xherdan Shaqiri tomorrow.

Similarly Celtic's January signings - albeit on a slightly more restrained budget - have added some vitality to our attacking play. It also seems that the players now understand what Deila wants them to do and have responded to that. Early in the season I felt our defensive shape was good, but that there wasn't enough cohesion in our attacking play. Also we seemed to suffer from an all-round lack of conviction, perhaps most obvious in a 1-0 home defeat to Maribor in the CL playoff round. That seems to have improved, although even a test against one of the better Scottish teams like St Johnstone is a long way from a European tie against a team with Icardi and Kovacic in it.

Get rid of Rannochia, he's an accident waiting to happen. Scratch that, he's a multi car pile up already! He wouldn't be captain, he shouldn't be on the pitch. Can't organise Jack! Guarin should be cap, best player on the pitch. Shaq played well as did Palacio though I don't think he has the legs any more.

First time at Parkhead, good atmosphere. Almost got a little 'tetchy' with the locals towards the end but it turned into a love in. Massive Thanks to Allan McD who sourced my ticket.

Well done Bhoys!   Must have been an electric atmosphere.     Without the Feyenoord "fans" tearing up Glasgow of course

What a game, an absolute cracker especially after watching another dire Roma performance beforehand. Some dodgy defending admittedly by both sides but such a cracking atmosphere and a fair result in the end.

Glad you enjoyed it blackanblue. I think there's a lot of respect for Inter in a way that there really isn't for many of the clubs we have faced in Europe (Atletico Madrid, Rapid Vienna). It was nice to see Mario Corso and Gianfranco Bedin join our heroes of the 1960s on the touchline before kick off. Of course it's always easier to be respectful of a team that isn't gubbing yours.

If tonight is anything to go by, you've got your wish with Rannochia being dropped. Agree that he was awful on Thursday, was hoping for more of the same this week!

This Cagliari side is so soft they're really not testing Inter tonight.
