Oh. My. God. I spent most of the night having to watch Liverpool cock up in Lyon because the pc has been on the blink (plus the missus doing work ). I tried to follow the score on teletext and even that was playing up. And at 1-0 for practically the whole game, what was the point? Sheva scoring, surprise, surprise. I'd almost given up when I checked it one last time as the Liverpool game finished.
I'm a happy man

Never doubted it for a minute.
The chances just kept coming up in the 2nd half was only a matter of time to constant waves of attack crashed over them
For me "Non Mollare Mai" started to become a battle cry when Ronaldo got injured in that Coppa final v Lazio. However it really didn't start to show on the pitch until that 3-2 win over Samp. Since then we've always looked like having an extra gear in the Serie A when we needed it.
Hopefully this game gives them a massive mental boast which has the same affect. First half was hestitate but whatever Mourinho said at half time worked, formation likewise.
Looking forward to the Barca game more than ever, IF we take care of them, their European campaign for this season could well be in our hands _________________ "It's the team he wanted" - Figo

I will be in Barcelona! I've also been promised a ticket but even if I don't get one I'll still be there! _________________ My Jamaican missus trying to describe Amy Winehouse the other day: "What's the name of that coke head woman who went to St Lucia?"

I feel that if Inter see off Barca (and Rubin beat Kiev) in Camp Nou, the Champions League will be won by an EPL team. Such is my pessimism… My dream results:
Barca 1-0 Inter
Rubin 0-0 Kiev
Inter 4-0 Rubin
Kiev 0-3 Barca

Delighted! :D
2 draws in the next round leaves Kiev playing for qualification at home against Barca and us needing just a draw at home against Rubin.

I've been to Barcelona before myself and loved it. I've also got an Inter supporting Italian friend living there at the moment so I'm hoping to meet up with him and his new born son. After a lot of running about last night, I got in and politely asked the wife to TURN THE F*CKIN' TELLY OVER TO SSN !! (Believe that if you like) only to scan the screen and find we were 1-1 and still playing. Then lo and behold the presenter starts saying there has been another goal in Kiev and as soon as I heard Sneijders name I could have kissed him.
In fact if anyone knows where he lives I might still do it.
Then of course I quickly turned telly back to Spooks for the missus and got her a cuppa, whilst ironing and tidying the kitchen with a big cheesy grin on my face !
Love it, love it, love it !! _________________ It's quieter than a church before the crowds arrive.

| Quote: | Former Inter striker Christian Vieri has suggested the Calciopoli scandal was sparked and created by Nerazzurri president Massimo Moratti in order to make his club the strongest team in Italy and send Juventus down to Serie B.
Vieri is currently suing Inter and telecommunications company Telecom Italia for illegal wire tapping.
Firenzeviola.it reports that the wire tapping plan between Moratti and Telecom Italia was to eliminate teams in Serie A so that Inter could pave the way for success. It claims Inter players were made to sign a document to cover up any existence of the plan to take down other clubs. The allegation is that Vieri's phone was tapped up to ensure he never spoke of Inter's Calciopoli plans.
"I am ready to show everyone the document, everyone knew what was happening. I was spied upon because I cannot keep these things locked up," Vieri said as reported by Firenze Viola.
"Seventy per cent of the contract was to be paid by Inter, and the other 30 per cent by Telecom who used me for advertising campaigns so that they could pay less taxes.
"I have only ever spoken about this to Mr [Rinaldo] Ghelfi of Inter, agreeing everything with him.
"I felt really sorry for Juventus because I have affection for them. The same with Milan. I thought I was doing something good for my president who has plenty to sell in terms of having a double personality." |
I knew it. I hope he truly has the documentation behind these claims, and Inter gets sent to Serie B and Moratti banned from Calcio.
EDIT: It seems the story got pulled down from goal.com. Is there any other source for this or was it just a practical joke?
EDIT2: Found another source.

Thanks for your lucid appraisal, Ferri. I can't help myself when I try to steer the black and white sheep in the right direction . _________________ My Jamaican missus trying to describe Amy Winehouse the other day: "What's the name of that coke head woman who went to St Lucia?"

I'll say what I said on Marcello Salas regarding Vieri's comments. The connection between Inter and Telecom Italia is very strong. Moratti used to be a director there. Telecom's former boss Marco Tronchetti Provera is an Inter director. And of course there's Guido Rossi, a former Inter director who ran the Calciopoli trial before walking into the top job at Telecom Italia.
That is what I call a conflict of interests, and along with the fact no matches have been proven to be fixed is why I'm so angry about the original Calciopoli trial. I don't believe Moggi and Giraudo were saints, and it seems they were guilty of unsporting conduct, but that's nothing near enough of a crime to be relegated as such instances occur all the time.
On Vieri's actual comments I have no idea if they're true, but considering what I've read on Calciopoli I wouldn't be surprised if it was true. _________________ Forza Juve!!!
