Would like to see Vieira and Quaresmo disappear from the midfield list also.
Good to see the Matrix staying until 2012. he seems happy enough as a squad player which is an important role. |
agree with all.
Not sure what Samp want for Cassano but considering the players we've been linked to a swap for Mancini or Quaresma might be worth a punt?
Would only want him for a year though, he'll bust his hump trying to make the nazionale this year but as soon as he does or doesn't I wouldn't be surprised to see him going back to his old ways.
Although having to coach Cassano & Balotelli might mean Mourinho asks for another pay rise!

Hamsik? Really? What we need is a creative midfielder of real class. I wont complain if we get Hamsik, he's a good player, but he's similar to Motta. Are we trying to overload the side with defensive player. Maybe then we could play Zanetti RM, Motta and Hamsik in the centre, Muntari LM and Cambiasso holding. Then all we need to do is stick Ibra alone up front and win every game 1-0. HUUUUUUH
And No Nedved either. Please may that be made up. Who wins there? _________________ http://bringtheparty.blogspot.com/

| Quote: | journo: Without naming names, between now and Sunday do you think there is a possibility you'll leave for the US with a new player
Mourinho: I really don't believe so
journo: If only a blonde player
Mourinho: Blonde, black, white, dark it's not a problem. But I don't think so because it's really difficult.
journo: Is it a matter of time or because you don't like a blonde player
Mourinho: This sounds like a conversation amongst gays.
A blonde, a dark, if an attacking midfielder or central defender of quality arrives then that's perfect, but I don't believe it will happen because players of quality are difficult to obtain. |
Glad to have Mourinho back at least the news reports will be more interesting between now and season kick off.
He always starts the season with a great interview. Reading between the lines he's obviously pissed that a few players have refused to move on. Without the funds from those transfers it's basically ruins any chance he's got of making new acquisitions.
Hard to filter the truth from the publicity though, it was clear that they tried to move Quaresma to Genoa and today he talks about Quaresma warranting a 2nd chance. Do you take it at face value or is it a marketing ploy. By making it look like he's a required player they can try and milk more money out of any club interested in signing him.
I'm guessing and HOPING it's a ploy.

Sissokho and Melo protecting the back four, with Diego, Camo and Giovinco supplying a very good striker, Buffon in goal and an excellent CB pairing all add up to make Juve a competitive squad.
This will be our closest Scudetto race for since we were losers. Even the years when the points difference was close it hardly mattered because at times we held such massive leads. Im confident we'll still win but we cant afford an abysmal run after being knocked out the CL... _________________ http://bringtheparty.blogspot.com/

So Man City have signed Tevez and are in for Adebayor. They simply have too many forward players. There is surely no room for Elano...
It's WC year and Elano will want guaranteed playing time to make the squad. Mourinho wants a world class AM. This is a no brainer. Elano is class.. _________________ http://bringtheparty.blogspot.com/

Not sure why Cambiasso can't play as no.10.
Way the transfer market is heading we're definitely hoping from good input from Milito & Motta otherwise we're vulnerable to injuries to Cambiasso & Ibra again.

I just realised Arsenal are dying for a DM and we are dying for an AM. What do both teams have in abundance that the other needs?
Id swap Vela and a couple of million for Muntari tbh. _________________ http://bringtheparty.blogspot.com/

Nah I'm serious, Cambiasso playing further up the field has the following benefits
1. Helps keep oppositions pinned in their own half.
2. Guy is brilliant at ghosting into the box and finishes well
3. Follows up every attempt on goal, free kicks, shots etc always there looking for a spill from the keeper
4. What he lacks in speed and touch he makes up in vision, guy sees everything across the whole width of the pitch, the amount of times I've seen him intercept a pass out from an opposition defender and hit it first time as a pass is uncanny even seen him do it with his head to put through someone out wide.
5. Does enough work to enable the forwards to worry less about tracking back.
Personally was lost to understand why Mourinho played Muntari ahead of Cuchu when Deki was injured.

He's not creative enough (neither is Muntari).. so when he picks out passes it's not enough to unlocl defenses. I'd rather have Balotelli there. Or even Ibra. In fact Ibra with Milito and Balotelli ahead of him. That is sick! _________________ http://bringtheparty.blogspot.com/

sounds good Bobo until you realise Mourinho has never had the balls to put anything other than ball winners in the middle of the park.

Great bit of business for Barcelona there. Im a big fan of Macwell. Sad to see him go. I guess Chivu will be backup for Santon. _________________ http://bringtheparty.blogspot.com/

Agree Maxwell was great for us particuarly in the last two years of Mancio, he came to us as a bit of a risk coming of knee surgery but while everyone else was breaking down in 06-08 Maxwell kept grinding out the performances.
His goal against Parma in 06/07 can't be forgotten.
Things went pear shape under Mou, I still don't understand how the Atalanta game became the beginning of the end (nearly for Cordoba too) but his confidence started to drop and he never recovered.
Considering he's in his last contractual year. Inter can't complain about getting 5m for him. Glad he went to Barca rather than a rival in Italy.

Just had a thought, does this mean the end for Cordoba? He isnt gonna play two midgets in CD.
Julio Cesar
Maicon Lucio Samuel Santon
Zanetti Cambiasso Motta
Quaresma Ibracadabra
Milito

Cordoba comes in 5 and a half ft so I guess he's 1 but not sure who your referring to regarding the 2nd. Lucio is 6ft 2, Samuel 6ft. Although any of them pairing up against a Juve with Diego & Giovinco up front can be referred to as the twin towers
