I never realised he was at Genoa now.
I only really watched him in his time in Spain, and he was a complete liability at Barcelona, and never really got a look-in when he moved to Ateltico.
Perhaps he's just better suited to Serie A.

Motta was pretty hopeless at Barca, no more than a hatchet man. Has significantly improved since then, but I'm not sure how much Inter need him with Cambiasso and Zanetti playing DM. Unless he's there to replace Muntari??
Milito's a good signing and one you need. He's a little underrated considering his record in Spain and Italy, I find it strange he hasn't had much of a look in with Argentina as well. I think they need a more traditional CF sometimes.

Because of the tv bastards and work-travel I've followed very little of Serie A this season. With online streaming i've usually opted for Roma or Napoli games, even then I've seen very few of their games.

So the team for next year will be:
Cesar
Maicon Cordoba Samuel Santon
Zanetti Cambiasso Motta
Ibra Milito
Drogba
That team looks pretty awesome, and look at the subs bench:
Toldo
Maxwell
Chivu
Muntari
Stankovic
Balotelli
PLUS Mourinho has said they need to bring in a defender so in fact there'll be one more 1st team boozer in defence. SOLID!
So optimistic! _________________ http://bringtheparty.blogspot.com/

Bobo, I don't mean to be picky, but which players would you be relying on to provide the 'creative spark' that Inter (imo) have so sorely been without, especially when playing in Europe?

Well Mourinho's teams have rarely had a player with that creative spark. Deco the exception at Porto?
It doesnt seem like his Chelsea team has players more creative than Motta, Maicon, Milito or Ibra. I think Balotelli, who looks better and better every month, can also come up with the spectacular and unexpected required to win big games.
Drogba has incredible drive (should he come) and is a winner. He would pair very well with Ibra he has a similar temperament and IS capable of pulling something out of nowhere.
I agree that the system is limiting and it's hard to fit creative players into it. The best hope is a No 10 behind Milito and Ibra (and not sign Drogba). But that's what you get with Mourinho: 11 warriors willing to fight tooth and nail to the lest minute who have an insane competitive streak. _________________ http://bringtheparty.blogspot.com/

I think Mourinho's possible sexual relationship with Drogba may have made other players feel left out:
“Didier Drogba came into my life in the fifth minute of a Champions League game in Marseilles’ mythical Velodrome . . . Six months later I signed for Chelsea. I had found a super powerful club which everybody wanted to play for. I had a number of options, but I arrived and said, ‘I want Didier Drogba’ . . . I finally met with Didier in a private airport in London. Again he hugged me, but this time in an unforgettable way: an embrace that showed this man’s gratitude and the affection he feels towards people who mean a lot to him. Indescribable. Didier is a special person . . . as an African, as an emperor of the Ivory Coast, as a father, as a son and as a friend. And some of us have the privilege to have him in our lives. Months after the Cup final I was out of Chelsea. As on the first day, there came that same embrace. I couldn’t speak and Didier could only say, ‘This is not possible, this is not possible, this is not happening’. I could only find the strength to turn and walk away . . . ” Jose Mourinho’s Foreward to Didier Drogba: The Autobiography

My thoughts exactly! Where are Genoa getting all this money from. It better be legitimate.

Sick of all the media speculation regarding old friends of his coming to Inter. Happy to see Mourinho extend but if he has another summer like last year |
Have to say we need to put a stamp on the signings early doors and get a decent big name player in just like Juve have done with Diego. Don't know if Mou is best at spotting talent and i still don't want drogba. _________________ It's quieter than a church before the crowds arrive.
