I use www.booking.com for the hotel. For your first visit, Milan is an easy option. The games don't sell out and you can but tickets from the ground on the day of the game. The city is easy to get around. The most important aspect is to check the times and dates of the games in advance, so you can get the cheapest airfares. I've even done a day trip to milan on a ryanair £20 return! |
Thanks for the advice Falcao, was thinking about it and Milan would probably be best suited for a 1st timer alright.£20 return?very handy.I will more than likely wait till next season, hopefully Chievo will stay up and i'll take in a game against AC or Inter at the San Siro

I’m about to visit Florence for the first time arriving on Friday 20 March at around 17:30 local time. My girlfriend and I would like to see the Fiorentina v Sienna match on Sunday 22 March at 15:00. I had hoped to order tickets online at face value through listicket but that is not an option for this match, possibly because this is a local derby and therefore considered a higher security risk. I have also asked my hotel if they can help with tickets, but no joy there either. Viagogo don't seem to sell Viola tickets which is a shame as I've used them before to see Bayern Munich and obtained tickets at face value no problem. I’m trying to avoid paying extortionate prices through a ticket agency but am concerned as to whether there will still be tickets available by the time I arrive in Florence. I would be grateful for any advice that can be offered in response to the following queries:
a) how likely is it that tickets will be available for this match after I arrive in Florence?
b) are there any particular ticket outlets in Florence that are recommended? I’m thinking here of outlets where the staff may be used to encountering tourists who don’t speak more than a few words of Italian.
Many thanks in advance for any replies.

For the benefit of others who are visiting Florence for the first time and want to see a Fiorentina match, I would recommend using the ticket office on Via Luigi Alamanni (number 39), especially if you are arriving in Florence at the Santa Maria Novella station as it is situated only a short walk away. This ticket office caters for many different types of event, and the staff are clearly used to dealing with tourists who have little command of the Italian language. We bought tickets for the Maratona Laterale section, towards the back, not far from the start of the Curva Fiesole. I would recommend this section both for the excellent view of the match and also to appreciate at close quarters the support generated by the Curva Fiesole. At 30 Euro for the ticket (and a reduced price of 24 Euro for my girlfriend) it was good value, and if you are staying close to the centre of Florence (we stayed near the Duomo) the stadium can be reached on foot in less than 30 minutes. Cheaper tickets are available in the Curva Ferrovia, but it was far from fully occupied and the atmosphere therefore muted compared to the opposite end of the ground. All in all, a great day out, especially as I was able to experience the Curva Fiesole celebrating a late goal from Mutu to win the derby.

Glad you had a good time, as there were previous postings on the questions you raised both in this thread and the Forza Florentia Viola one I didn't repeat what had been previously said.
Surprised about the Curva Ferrovia as it has always been full and very vocal when I've been there.

Hi guys
We had booked tickets for the Distinti Nord from romalazio.co.uk only to be told last night that they didn't get us the tickets and now we have no tickets for the game, even though there are a number of us heading over to Rome tomorrow morning. We booked the tickets last September but they decided to wait til 1 day to go to inform us that they didn't even get the tickets.
Can anyone suggest where we could still get tickets, given that the tickets on Link blocked: we regret that new members can not post links because of previous spamming attempts. are sold out.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks.

Not a Roma or Lazio fan and never been to the Olimpico so not sure of specifics there, think you can usually pick up tickets in the morning from the ticket offices at the grounds, but being as it's the Derby I wouldn't imagine there'll be many available, if any.
Could be a tout job, in which case I hope you've packed plenty of Euro's.
Do me a favour and contact the OFT when you return and report the scumbags.

Since it is Lazio's home game im not sure if you can get them on line. I know that as of yesterday morning there were still tickets available for curva and distiniti sud which is shocking. Having the Derby at 3pm on Easter saturday hasnt helped to sell tickets and the Derby hasnt sold out in a coupld of year. There must be quite a few tickets left for Tribuna and Monte Mario (although at a higher price). Go to a Lottomatica as soon as you get here - i presume you are a Lazio fan since you were going in Distinti Nord - if not go to a Roma Store. _________________ SE NE VANNO I GIOCATORI, SE NE VANNO GLI ALLENATORI, MA ROSELLA TU QUANDO TE NE VAI?

Cheers
Ye I have already contacted the Consumer Direct section of the OFT so we'll see what happens... probably not a lot though.
It's a joke that they only informed us last night that we wouldn't be getting any tickets. Ridiculous, should be shut down.

If you dont speak italian this was from an hour ago and says there are still tickets in the following sections available. Curva and Distinti sold out:
Distinti Sud (30 euro), Tribuna Tevere Top (75 euro), Tribuna Monte Mario (110 euro) e Tribuna d'Onore (155 euro); _________________ SE NE VANNO I GIOCATORI, SE NE VANNO GLI ALLENATORI, MA ROSELLA TU QUANDO TE NE VAI?

Thanks RomaGirl.
Yes I'm a Lazio fan.
Do you know where you can get the tickets you mentioned? Online there are no tickets left for any section.
I would have no problem paying for Tribuna Tevere Top (75 euro) but we need 8 tickets so if you have any idea where they'll be on sale. I arrive in Rome tomorrow around lunch time so could go straight to somewhere that sells them if a place exists.

There is a lottomatica at Termini that should sell them:
GATE TERMINAL ART GALLERY
STAZIONE TERMINI CAPO BINARIO 24 ENTRATA V. GIOVANNI GIOLITTI
00185 ROMA(RM)
Tel. 06/48900575
Should be near Platform 24. Good luck! _________________ SE NE VANNO I GIOCATORI, SE NE VANNO GLI ALLENATORI, MA ROSELLA TU QUANDO TE NE VAI?

I've deleted your other two duplicate threads, just incase you were wondering where they went.
Best not to go through third party agencies that charge 3 times the price of a trip than if you'd arranged it yourself, but you've probably gathered that by now. Hope you get the tickets, i know what a wasted trip is like!

Sorry about the duplicate threads
Do you know if the ticket offices open on Good Friday? There's probably some tickets left but need the places to be open.

Thanks for all your help guys.
Managed to get tickets no problem when we arrived. Paid about the same for Tribune Tevere as we had paid romalazio.co.uk for Distinti, which means they were charging an extra 50euro or something crazy. Great game anyway, made up for the problems. Anyway I know next time to just book them online on ListTicket.
