Rather than have random threads appear on the forum about individual matches, please post any queries about obtaining tickets / city information / stadium security / anything similar on this thread.

Alternatively, the individual club threads on our forum are always worth a try...

While this is up, anyone know if Milan will be selling match tickets online again through bestticket, I used to buy my match tickets through the bestticket website but they haven't had any for sale since the catania incident last year. Does anyone know this a permanent safety precauction or if they will ever put them back on sale online to the public???

I should be in Naples in September and wouldn't mind atching a game (if Napoli are at home).

Never been to a Serie A game - is it easy/possible for a foreigner to just turn up an hour or so before kick off and get a ticket? (The San Paolo's huge so I should be ok)

Am looking at going to Roma v Fiorentina in Feb, having never been to a game in Italy before am i best buying my tickets from Listicket? if i do buy from them do i pick the tickets up from the ticket office at the ground?

If there are any Roma fans on here were am i best sitting in the ground, and is it safe to go to a Roma game at the minute with all the trouble they are having?

Thanks

You can buy Roma Tickets on www.listicket.it however i think you can only but Tevere Centrale and Monte Mario sections (the most expensive).  You would then have to collect them from somewhere near the stadium...i think 3 hours before the game..

Since no one really goes to the stadium any more you can probably buy them when you get here if you have time.  Curva nord (15 Euro) and distini Nord (25 Euro) will have free seats.  You can buy tickets from the Roma Stores.  There is one in the centre of rome.  Im in Distinti Sud which is a good section.  Right next to the Curva and perfectly safe.

Ive not seen any trouble at the stadium in the last year.  Its safe... i go alone nearly everyweek and never have any problems.

Is there any chance at all of getting a ticket for the Turin derby in 3 weeks? I've got some spare money and flights are dirt cheap so wouldn't mind giving it a go.

Roma tickets online as mentioned (roma girl) above are never a problem. As you approach the stadium from the bridge veer to the left and there's a small building to the left of the swimming pool steps with 3 windows where you collect your tickets...they tape an a4 sheet with 'Internet' on the window! hi-tech!

Just came back from a lovely weekend in Firenze but alas could not go to the Fiorentina - Milan match. Wrote and emailed many times over the last few months but the club couldn't do anything for me, sadly. I went over with 27 soccer girls and it would have been a great treat for them. Ah well, Mr.Prandelli was in our restaurant afterwards and we exchanged nods on the stairs - he's very gentlemanly!

Re the Turin derby listicket sells the juve tickets and theyre obviously very cheap as nobody goes.

Dunno, but listicket.it is the website, i got a ticket from a tout last season, then with my passport i was able to change the name on the ticket to my own name, by going to the ticket boot behind the Tribuna Est (thanks Adam Smith for the info). Ticket from the tout was 50euro for Tribuna Laterale Est, original price on the ticket was 21euro, that was against Mantova in Serie B though, so they might be more expensive against Torino in Serie A.
The listicket website used to be tempermental, so best to have registered and all that, before the tickets actually go on sale, some days it didn't allow me to register initially.
Game has been switched to Tuesday night at 8:30pm Italian time.

Can't help with Turin, but Rome: I stayed just near the Spanish Steps when I was there in a hotel called Hotel King, cheap deal at priceline.co.uk. Quite a good location near a metro stop and easy walking distance to Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and Pantheon. Metro to Vatican.

The Stadio Olympico in Turin is fairly close to the city center. About ten minutes on Tram/bus from the side of the train station.
Hotelurbani.it have reasonable rates, though it's on a dodgy enough street (prostitutes), it's only about 30 second walk from train station and about 5 minutes walk from main street 'via Roma'.

There is information here about the tram etc. (prices etc are from 2007)
Scroll down the page and see the links under the headings:
Prices of Hotels and match tickets
General Information (Travel details, Hotel prices and links, match tickets and how to get to the Stadio Olimpico di Torino)

There's a stall in the train station that sells the tram/bus tickets, unless you know Turin they might be hard to find elsewhere. Tickets last for 70 minutes from when you validate them on the tram, be sure to validate, i saw one guy heavy handed when the inspectors got on.

Got a ticket off a tout behind the curva nord, changed the name on it at a ticket boot behind the Tribuna Est, need passport, had no issues, i assume it's the same for Torino games.

God, i'm so sick of saying this now, ah well.

Rome - hotels -

www.venere.com - have to say I use it for every Italian trip.

Rome - stay around the railway station (ignore reports about it being dangerous unless you're a blue haired old lady and find the odd homeless dude and some pigeons frightening. the #910 bus to the stadium goes from there so its as handy as anywhere else. I've stayed in a few places that were inexpensive but of reasonable quality - the best would be http://www.hotelalpi.com/eng/hotel.html .

Anyway its not a big city so wherever ya stay its just a walk to the metro or bus.

Enjoy

We stayed at the Hotel Urbis in Rome last weekend whilat there for the rugby.  Budget hotel but fine for a short stay, about 100 yards from Roma Termini. Metro line for all the sights and easy to walk to/from the centre.

http://www.venere.com/cgi/hotel/?htid=8426&ref=

Also, there is a great Irish bar in the piazza opposite Santa Maria Maggiore which shows football on screens inside and out (including the Manchester derby highlights on Sunday evening   ) Think it was called Druids Rock.
