Good stuff.
Yeah i'd recommend booking your own flights, hotel and match tickets in future, rather than go through agents (online touts). Another one, FootballEncounters, are a complete rip-off in my opinion, but that's just my 'opinion' (incase they read this post )

Hi Guy's
I take from the 27th of June to the 04th of July, 2009 vacation in Verona. I would look a few friendly games or test plays in the time with pleasure. If you can say me a few plays in north Italy.
Please send me infos from Serie A,B,C
thanks Ralf

I think there will only be training for most teams. Juve only start their pre-season training camp on 9th July.

As Myles said, I think it's unlikely you'll see any action that early - I was in Tuscany a few years back in early August and managed to catch an early Empoli friendly.

Your better arranging your own flights accomadation and tickets
Depending where you live then there are cheap flights to Milan at many airports in the UK. I fly from Liverpool on Friday tea time and return on Monday affy. That gives me the ability to see more than one game. If the Milan or Inter game is on a Saturday you can catch a game at Parma or Atalanta if they are at home on a Sunday.
If your Milanor Inter game is on a Sunday then take in a Seire B game at Torino or somewhere pretty close. Thats what I'm doing in January
As for accomadtion, try Venere.com .I've been umpteen times and never had a REALLY bad hotel
Tickets can be bought in the city centre , unless its the derby or Rubentus and even then tickets are not impossible to source.
If you do intend to buy tickets for games on the day then make sure you take your passport..We went to a Modena game last season and eevn after e mailing the club weeks before and clarifying what the procedure was , when we actually turned up they initialy were not going to let us have tickets...it was onlt after some "pressure" at the ticket office from the Modena Ultras who understood our position that we actually got tickets..
If you need any more help then either PM me or e mail me on nudger20459@aol.com
Enjoy

What chance of getting tickets for Juventus v Fiorentina? It's a convenient weekend for me to get across but I'm concerned about whether I'll get a ticket from listicket or the club's box office.

Do you still have the membership? Does that let you get tickets without being a resident, even for high security games?

Hey all,
I will be in Florence for the Fiorentina v Udinese match. Do you think it would be easy to buy tickets there? On game day? Or buy early online?
I will also be in Rome for the Lazio v Napoli match. Buy the day of? or Order them early?
Anyways, looking forward to your assistance!
Cheers,
Karlo

Ya, I actually book marked that page.... the channel 4 site?
Sorry if my question is lame ... I guess I was just looking for the boards opinion on the 2 match ups I posted about.
In your opinion... will Fiorentina/Udinese - Lazio/Napoli sell out?
Appreciate it!
Karlo

There's actually an official Fiorentina ticket store now, which is on the corner of Via Giovanni Dupré and Via Settesanti (it's building number 28 on Via Dupré) about 200 meters west of the Artemio Franchi stadium.
Inside the ground, I would go for anywhere on the Maratona. Tickets for that area range from €30 for Maratona Laterale to €50 for Maratona Centrale. There are cheaper areas, such as Curva Ferrovia, but the view isn't so good.
All the best! |
I meant this one.
Anyway, I can't believe Fiorentina v Udinese will be a sell out, they're hardly the biggest pull during the season and not many away fans will make the trip. Lazio vs Napoli is a harder one to call - I'm not sure if Napoli fans are banned from this match (they are for the Roma match) and whether sales will be restricted - our local Roma resident might be able to help with this one.

Curva Fiesole, thanks a TON for the help!
2 more questions. From what I read I am confident that I can buy the Fiorentina tickets while in Florence. Do you think I should buy the Lazio tickets in Florence as well? Seeing it will be 1 week out?
When Lazio bans Napoli fans... does that mean that anyone NOT from Rome can't go (ie...me from Chicago)?

A friend got a ticket by ringing the club.

I'm kicking myself. The flights were really cheap for this weekend when I was looking but I was pessimistic about the chances of getting a ticket - Fiorentina are a pretty big name and the stadium is tiny. I checked listicket this week too and I could've bought them online easily. Dunno when I'm next going to have the opportunity either - I do want to get a match in before May.
