I am coming over to Milan for the derby with my 10 year old son. i see that all tickets are sold but was wondering what the situation is with buying a pair of tickets from a tout. I was going to do a stadium tour on Friday and was hoping to get tickets from the ground then. How will i be able to buy tickets, how much am i likely to have to pay and what's the situation re. names on tickets and I/D.
Many thanks

come on guys ..this man needs help and theres enough geezers on here to help him. I've done the derby hughie but only with legitimate tickets. I would imagine that tickets from a tout would be expensive but available and you wouldn't need ID...in my experience even with legal tickets the tickets rarely get a thorough going over..come on fellas ..the guy needs help !!

hughe_tj did get some replies to his posts i the Forza Inter thread and the Forza Milan thread, so i'd say that's why there are no responses in this thread.

Can anyone recommend to me a decent, cheap hotel/hostel in Venice?  Cheers!

Just a little tip on www.listicket.it, sometimes it can be temperamental with debit cards. Sometimes the bank transaction times out. This doesn't seem to be a problem with credit cards though.

Thanks for the tip! Would've been using that for Samp-Milan but of course that's been declared high risk, as has Inter-Roma... May look into Atalanta-Chievo which should be a decent little derby but is quite a trek from Turin.

Juve-Napoli is maximum security as expected, but I bit the bullet and bought from Football Encounters last week. Only annoying thing there is that I could have got my ticket for about half the price if I'd booked 2 or 3 weeks before as intended.

I'm hoping to attend a Serie A game by the end of the year,I'm not a fan of any of the table toppers more of a follower of the underdog, infact i've been a Chievo supporter for 8 years now  but with such small attendances at the Bentegodi it's looking like my first taste of Italian football will have to be elsewhere.

Which grounds are the most atmospheric? The San Paolo?Stadio Luigi Ferraris?

Hi there, I’m an Aussie who’ll be living in Florence from early April until July and was hoping to catch a couple of Fiorentina matches while I was over there, but I just need a little help on how/where to book tickets. The games I’m trying to book tickets for are the Fiorentina v Cagliari match and the Fiorentina vs. Roma games in April (with my heart particularly set on the second).

I’ve scoured through some of the posts on this site and appreciate the advice given (especially in Mezz’s posts), but just needed a little bit more help. I was hoping to book the tickets before I leave for Florence on the 24th of March, but I don’t speak Italian very well and so I can’t seem to find anywhere that I can do it (I don’t understand the biglietteria section on the official website, and lisTicket only appears to be selling for the Fiorentina v Sampdoria match at the moment)

Any advice on where/how/when to book and where to sit and prices and such is MUCH appreciated.

Thanks !

I've always bought tickets in Firenze rather than before arriving there, so I can't really offer any advice here other than that viagogo seem to sell tickets for every European game taking place.

As for your queries about where to sit and prices, I can only repeat what I said earlier in this thread:

Mezz wrote:
There's actually an official Fiorentina ticket store now, which is on the corner of Via Giovanni Dupré and Via Settesanti (it's building number 28 on Via Dupré) about 200 meters west of the Artemio Franchi stadium.

Inside the ground, I would go for anywhere on the Maratona. Tickets for that area range from €30 for Maratona Laterale to €50 for Maratona Centrale. There are cheaper areas, such as Curva Ferrovia, but the view isn't so good.

Hope this helps!

Firenze looks like an entertaining and pleasantly picturesque place. Is it a safe heaven for tourists and foreign calcio fans?

I've been to Florence about 20 times and never had any problems, it's the same as any city, there are bad parts but they're easy to avoid.

Sounds positive so,it's just that I heard a bad account of Rome from a friend and was just wondering what it's like further north.

When full to capacity the Franchi looks like an amazing venue.Would definetely consider a trip to a Fiorentina game

Like anywhere you have to be sensible, my advice would be don't sit/stand with the ultras, sit on the long sides. I've been to Verona/Milan/Rome/Florence/Turin for derbies and title deciders and not had any major problems. Even sat in the Roma fans when they played Man Utd. I'm off to the Turin Derby at the weekend on my own. Italian football changed a lot over recent years and there are a lot more foreigners at games. Every time i go to Milan, there's more British there than Milanese!!!

interesting falcao,i'm been talking of making a trip to Italy for a game for a few years now but my footballing friends prefer to go watch liverpool draw 0-0 at home with a mid table side than travel into Europe for a different experience.Do you arrange your trips independantly or through a package?

I've always arranged mine independently (although last time was for 13 others as well!)

Cheap flights with Ryanair or Easyjet (hand luggage only), hotels through www.venere.com and tickets once I arrive - never let me down before.

I'm the same as Curva Fiesole, i go independantly & have never gone with a company. I fly with Ryanair and if needs be i catch the train once in Italy (fantastic & cheap). I use  Link blocked: we regret that new members can not post links because of previous spamming attempts.  for the hotel. For your first visit, Milan is an easy option. The games don't sell out and you can but tickets from the ground on the day of the game. The city is easy to get around. The most important aspect is to check the times and dates of the games in advance, so you can get the cheapest airfares. I've even done a day trip to milan on a ryanair £20 return!

just did a weekend trip taking in a flight to Milan on the Friday..On  Saturday got the train to Modena for the game against Parma and back to Milan for the Inter v Roma game

Only thanks to the Modena Ultras did we get in the game ..we e  mailed the club asking if we brought our passports then coulld we get a ticket...no problem they said...We turned up at the ticket office and were told no way ..thankfully the local Ultras in the nearby Sports Stadio bar got wind and came round banging on the windows !! Next thing two tickets came over the counter!! Also a few drinks as well...If anyone from Modena is reading this hats off to your guys...
