Think you might be on your own there, dio boia! How are Verona getting on these days anyway?
I spent a week there a few years ago, beautiful city but I thought that a lot of the locals were quite stand-offish and not overly keen on tourists.

Verona are currently bottom of Serie C1/A, 2 wins all season, already on our 3rd coach (with rumours he will be axed shortly)
we've just lost today to ternana, this season has been a disaster!!
I was re-directed here, being told this was a verona forum!

not sure, someone on this board (one of the mods i think)
i posted on the channel 4 forum but apparantly no-one uses that.
i'd posted about Hellas asking if anyone follows them and someone posted with the link 'verona forum'.
it's been deleted now so dunno who put it.
and yes mezz, it's more than bad, it's abysmal.
yet the curva is full every week, unlike the rest of the bentegodi

It was Myles who posted the link to here - I occasionally look in to see how well the insurgency is going over there... I assume that the implication that this was a Verona forum was because he was trying to disguise the link from the C4 mods for as long as possible.
I must admit that I'd no idea how bad things had become for Verona, since I'd rather failed to keep up with Serie B last year and hadn't even worked out they'd been relegated.

'Car crash' suggests some sort of energy, Mezz. Go over there and you have to avoid the tumbleweed drifting across the site. The front page has a thread on it with the last posting date being September. I'm sure the C4 Mods will think of an excuse for another sticky thread to push that off the page.
Interestingly, a new member (1 posting) seems to have appeared shortly after Zico opened the thread on the C4 foro, asking exactly the same question - but instead of answering Zico's query on the new Verona thread, the new user went and located a thread that hadn't been posted on for three months ... Incidentally, the sig for the new member concludes with an offensive piece of Italian, which would've led to any of us being banned for employing it.
Being a cynical sort, I can't help wondering if the C4 mods are creating new user accounts in a desperate attempt to reinvigorate the place..

I don't mind Verona, very sad to see what's going on at the moment.. Another 2-0 loss today, surely there's no way back now. I was hoping you'd stay up and Vicenza go down, I'd have been up for a local derby.

Ah-ha - so you got your posting in at about the same time that the C4 Mods were destroying the evidence that this forum exists, reducing your post count there to 1. If they'd reacted with such speed to complaints about heavy-handedness, this forum might never have come about...

it's beyond desperate, we're down for certain now.
the 3-2 defeat on monday was the final straw, the club is in a mess, on and off the pitch. the players are awful, the coach is awful, everything is a shambles.
but i'll never fall out of love, Forza Hellas, Campeon!!! /=\

Hellas in the playouts for definite. At 4 points adrift at the bottom there is little hope of even avoiding automatic drop.
I am going to the Bentagodi in April - when I booked the flights at the start of the season I hoped I would witness promotion back to Serie B - no f......g chance of that happening . I fear I will see us get relegated that day

Butei! This season has shown that a big name means nothing without a capable squad and mister, hopefully we manage to make the play-outs and pull of la salvezza, unlikely as it is.
If we can stay up, next year we can build with some of the young players hopefully better from the experience.

a bit of analysis for those of you who care (im sure there are about 2 of those)
1 down on 10 mins, bit of a scrappy game until orfei scored the equaliser, then end to end stuff, rafael making one world class stop, then di bari(!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) scoring a 20 yard rocket in the 3rd min of injury time to win it.
and when it went in i leapt from my seat i jumpt so high i smashed my head on the lightbulb, shattered it and have a big cut in the top of my head!!!!!
but it was so worth it!!!!!

I read your posts mate and its good to see Hellas trying to get out of their precarious situation, it would be a real shame if they went any further down the divisons. Unfortunately i dont quite share the same love or enthusiasm as you do.

seriously though, im not the tallest so to reach the lightbulb shows how high i jumped. my italian isnt the best so listening to the commentary is difficult, the winner was just shit loads of words, then ALEALEALEALEALEALEALEALEALEALE BOOMBOOMBOOMBOOMBOOMBOOMBOOM DI BARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIII (this is radio verona's commentators reaction to every goal with the name of the player obviously changing)
its amazing how even though i have no italian roots or hellas connections, i can care so much, they're easily on par with my english team with whom i had a season ticket with since the age of 10.
2 wins in a row, level on points with paganese, i thought it was all over 2 weeks ago but now there is hope.
it pisses me off seing chievo top in B as well, fake club, fake supporters.

I know how you feel Zico.
I have become obsessed in the last 4 or 5 years. I see a blue and yellow police car and the first thing I think is cool - Forza gialloblu.
I found myself taking a photo of a blue and yellow corner flag at my sons football the other day !
Maybe I should get a life 
In a few weeks I will be at the Bentegodi to see Hellas hopefully slaughter Novaro.
The commentator is Roberto Puliero I think - a nutter !

 I have just joined after leaving channel4
I am not Italian I have no Italian roots but have been drawn to Hellas ever since I visited the city 8 years ago. We may go down again this season but we have to remain optimistic and hope that someday maybe in the near future that we will return to where we rightfully belong in Serie A.
Following on from a disastrous (but expected) defeat against Padova a 3-0 reverse at home, Hellas got back to winning ways with a wonderful 3-2 victory away to Monza with that boy Di Bari scoring in the 92nd minute to secure another 3 points. Another vital match coming up against Lecco who sit 4 places but only 4 points above us.

sorry havent been on here in ages, im sure you've all missed me!!!!
we're off the bottom, which is a miracle in itself, last sunday we had a must not lose game against paganese, a relegation 6 pointer in every sense of the word. we were battered and were leading 1-0 but a very very very debatable penalty meant it finished 1-1.
oh well, i think we'd have settled for the play-outs, but a win against manfredonnia could mean we even avoid that!!!!!
as for chievo, f**k chievo, prostitutes of italian football

Me and 3 friends went to the game against Navaro. To stand in the middle of the curva sud at the Bentegodi was fantastic. A 2-1 win for Hellas was great. Hopefully now survive the play-outs. We were invited out on the Saturday night by a group of Hellas fans and then were their guests at the match on the sunday. Was unbelievable. When it comes to supporting teams then I think English fans could learn so much from our Italian friends. An unforgettable weekend in Verona!!!!!!!!!!!
