Fulham V Roma (22 Oct)

Hi,

I am trying to find out how to buy away tickets for the Fulham V Roma match in October........Can anyone point me the right way?

Cheers!
Guest

Assume when you say away you mean in the Roma end at Craven cottage. If so, listicket.it may be able to help or visit the Roma website.
Lupo Pazzesco

Someone pointed out on the Roma thread that the whole stand where away fans are situated is a neutral area so just buy tickets for that end.

thanks guys.....can you give me a link to the roma thread you mentioned?

If anyone is interested in going to the final this season and need tickets, then....

Tickets for the final in Dublin are sold on ticketmaster.ie.

Limited to 2 tickets per person.

They aren't actually available at this moment but they are becoming available now and again as the tickets are returned from other sources i.e. clubs.

They range from 50 upwards, apparently some of those cheapest tickets were available this morning and i saw for myself some of the 80 and 135 ones were available last night.

If anyone here is coming to Dublin to watch the final, your best bet is to get the DART train to Lansdowne Road station.

Other modes are kind of unreliable as a lot of the city center roads are closed.

Shock of the night: no, not Napoli's result but of all the German teams playing in the Europa league this evening - not one of them won! Let's hope this is a sign of things to come...

Shock of the night for me was Suarez staying on his feet

Go Swansea!

I thought they had no chance against Valencia. Great result.
Dels

I watched both matches tonight (supporting Swansea - even though I shouldn't after the treatment of Michael Laudrup - I digress).

Both matches were highly entertaining. So much superior to the City and Barcelona match, which was the most boring match ever in the history of the world ever and Arsenal and Bayern, which was the most predicable match in the history of the world ever.

If the Europa league keeps this up, the entertainment value will always be there with that competition. The champions league teams have too much to lose to entertain us.

they still have the Europa league???

why exactly?

In previous 2 years I would cracked a joke at this point about it being something for Roma to aspire towards, but it doesn't really work at the moment.

Being serious, I miss the old Uefa Cup, before the Champions League became all bloated.  That was a great competition that often had many of Europe's elite teams in it.  It's sad that the CL expansion haskled it to become a competition where the reduced number of strong sides often don't take it seriously.
Duncan!

I guess I am ol fashioned, I liked the cup winners cup and the old UEFA cup

Europa cup sucks.

And so not to be accused of favoritism, I was consistent about how I didn't care about it either when Roma were in it
Dels

The point I was making about the Europa league is that the matches there are better for us fans. On Tuesday I turned off the City/Barca match after 30mins, it was boring. Barcelona keeping the ball for 70-odd% of the match doesn't appeal to me. On Wedsnesday I knew Arsenal weren't going to win, I'm a fan of the mighty Arse but I'm not an idiot. They were never going to win and, honestly the fourth best team in the EPL really shouldn't be beating the official best team in the world. It would have been wrong.

On Thursday I wasn't going to bother with Dnipro/Spurs and Swansea/Napoli, but I did and I'm glad I did. Both matches were entertaining even though there was only one goal scored between them. I hope all teams and I include Juventus in this to  go all out to win it. Keep it relevant, for entertainment value because the champions league doesn't provide that , that competition provides anti-football. Its all about money.  You only have  to look when Inter and Chelski  won it. Boring parking the bus football. Not for the neutral and that's why we have Europa  league to appease fans who  want to watch two teams just play football.
Duncan!

I do agree with you about the CL.   I hardly bother with it anymore
Liam

I think Dels has a good point about the entertainment factor.  The CL has its own intrigue, but again I feel the addition of more and more teams has reduced the entertainment value, and the uniqueness that some ties used to possess.

Teams in lower ranked leagues tend to have a good go at the Europa League, and these games can often be more interesting than seeing Barcelona smash 8 past Stuttgart.

I also feel the TV coverage in this country tends to be less hyped, and more tolerable for the Europa League, although Andy Townsend did his best to quash that theory on Thursday.
Dels

I like Benfica's manager.

The match tonight was quite good. But I wanted more camera on Jorge Jesus. He even has a fantastic name.
Dels

Well done Sevilla.

The Benfica players should have forfeited that penalty shoot-out. They were pathetic.
Liam

It was an interesting game, and a tight contest throughout.  Benfica are probably the better side, but they wasted so many chances, and then bottled the penalty shoot out.  With the way their players hesitated their run ups, it's no surprise they missed.
Duncan!

Europa League= tic tac toe championship
Dels

The matches I watched in the Europa league have been better than the Champions League this season.

I know. You could just tell they weren't going to score. They are going to start believing that they are actually cursed.
Dels

That was a good final. One of those finals where you wanted both to win. Very enjoyable.
Liam

I was slightly rooting for Dnipro, nice story with a team from Eastern Ukraine and all that, but Sevilla were worthy winners.  They had more quality and showed the invention needed to break Dnipro down.

Norwegian giants Molde* are a continuing source of inspiration in the Europa League.

*Molde are a football team that just destroyed Celtic and are not to be confused with mold that may grow in damp areas in one's attack. Mold is fungus that should not be confused with a Scottish "football" team that plays like damp fungus.

Duncan!

Rangers?
Dels

Rangers are fine. Don't you be worrying about us now.

This.

Dels

Say what you want about the Europa League but I just saw the best match I've seen all season in all competitions,
Liam

I've never minded the Europa League.  The Champions League has gone stale from a neutral perspective.  The EL provides more variety, even without the very best.
