Transfers!

Post any transfer rumors here for discuusion and bantaa
Lupo Pazzesco

Osvaldo, the bloody mentalist, to do one and a replacement centre forward for Roma please. No idea who but try to milk as much filthy lucre from Athletico Madrid so that he's decent quality.

DDR to be the centre of a transfer battle all summer and then stay at Roma after all. That's assuming the yanks aren't as bloody mental as Osvaldo!

Jovetic should stay in my opinion as fiorentina are a club going up and he is their talisman and if he moves away he won't be
Lupo Pazzesco

Agreed Tom, if I was him I'd give it at least one more season at the Viola. He's an automatic first choice there and may become one of several rotated forwards elsewhere.

Napoli seem to be doing some early transfer business on wide players, I just hope they're not spending the future Cavani funds and that he stays as well. I can't see it happening tbh.
Curva Fiesole

Hoping that Jovetic will stay, Juve less of an option now they have signed Tevez and he would be wasted in the EPL.  Talk of la Viola signing David Villa which, IMO, would be a great move.

Cavani only said he would leave for Madrid so high possibility of him staying.Same with cavani on jovetic as he is the first choice up front for us.Wouln't mind another striker coming in to partner with cavani.Suarez may be a possibility which I would hate as he is a good player but his mentality is just retarded, why bite someone?WHY?

Roma have sold Panagiotis Tachtsidis to Genoa. Is he any good? I know he kept De Rossi out of the side for a while last season. Genoa desperately need a quality midfielder who can put his mark on a game.

I see there are also links with Gilardino going to Roma. What do the Roma followers think of that?
Duncan!

he's not a bad player at all.

Gilardino?   I guess it would be ok but not thrilling

Can we post non-Italian teams news/opinions?

I will anyway. The transfer market has been boring in England. The best we have is that Rooney is staying at Manure. Biggest transfer that's made the news is Celtic's Wanyama going to Southampton. Boring.
Liam

Leicester haven't signed or sold anyone yet.  Crippled by Financial Fair Play and a wreckless spending spree on average players 2 years ago.

Atleast Jermaine Beckford looks set to go.  The perfect example of 2 things.  Firstly an average player getting a huge salary on a Bosman transfer (When he went to Everton), and secondly of a last minute poorly thought through panic buy (When Leicester matched his Bosman salary the following year in addition to a 2.5m transfer fee).

There's a few more to go after him though.
Dels

Rooney might not be staying after all.

What have Giaccherini's agents told him about Sunderland?

They must have show him photos of Monaco and said it was the North East of England.

Verona have signed Cirigliano from River who looks very promising when, good signing.
Dels

Man city have signed Jovetic for 22mill.
Duncan!

Higuian to Napoli!

Any of the big Italian clubs signing Italians????
Dels

Napoli just lost the best player in Serie A.

Duncan, if you can find an Italian player who is better than Cavani then I will Salute you.
Duncan!

I know Cavani was the best player in Serie A, but they don't sign an Italian to take his place they sign a real madrid reject instead of an Italian

From where I'm sitting, two likely moves could trigger a few other interesting moves:

Liverpool sign Atletico Madrid's Diego Costa, Atletico sign Fernando Torres from Chelsea.

Gareth Bale heads to the Madrid Royals, Cristiano Ronaldo ventures back to Man United.

If Man United land Ronaldo then I think they'll be more prepared to sell Rooney to Chelsea, and Nani would most probably be moved on to either Monaco or one of the Russian outfits giving United about 40M to offset against the Ronaldo transfer fee.

"Ah... the women, Oh! You should see the women, my boy! Scantily clad throughout the year such is their climate, etc, etc, etc...."

A bit like Rob Lee believing Kevin Keegan's sales pitch along the lines that Newcastle was further south than the other club which wanted him (Southampton, or somewhere like that...)

105m for Bale. The world's gone crazy.

Yup. The guy's great and all, but come on. He costs more than Goetze, Tevez, Mkytharian, Jovetic and Gervinho combined?

verno

Gervinho isn't worth more than ten pence.
Now I've said that he'll probably score a hat trick against Milan.
Dels

I reiterate that this seasons' transfers are boring.

Rooney....to Chelski
Suarez ....to Arsenal
Fabregas....to Manure
Now, Luiz to Barcelona

Someone, please, make one of these transfers happen.

I don't care which one.

I'm still very upset about Van Judas to Manure especially after this afternoon. Sob.

I'm not a fan of Suarez. I know he's a good footballer etc but he's an arsehole who has shown precious little respect to his club. He doesn't really want to come to Arsenal he wants Real Madrid but they won't have him.
Dels

Oh yeh, this Suarez character is what wrong with football, you couldn't make him up. But he is very talented, maybe he needs the right coach to give him advice/guidance etc etc, Dalglish and Rogers are not those types off coaches, in my opinion, but if he went to a club were they had a Wenger or Sir Alex type, Suarez might not be such a little douchebag. But I don't think Arsenal are serious with their bid nor do I think Chelski are serious with their Rooney bit I think its the Notsospecialone trying some pre-season mind games. I realistically only see Bale moving. But only if Madrid can raise the money. I hear that they are having a fund day.... "Raise a Euro for the Bale to Madrid" in Spain on Fridays....

I had money on RVP to score first and Manure to win 2-0. Sorry.
Dave

Fergie would've scared him into behaving - you do what you're told, when you're told, or you're out, son. I can give you Beckham, Stam, Ince or Van Nistelrooy's phone numbers if you want to check on that...

But I can't see Wenger being the sort of manager he needs - he needs someone who he thinks is even more mental than he is, or someone with the air that Don Fabio had pre-England - the 'you do not mess with me, because it will end badly for you. You know it, so do not even try it, OK?' demeanour that he had, but which went astray as soon as he set foot in FA headquarters, and which Fergie had. I don't see Wenger being in quite the same league in that respect. Suarez would respect him - unless he really is stupid - but, but... would that respect translate into calming himself down? I can't see it.

Imagine the scenario - his teeth are a nanometre away from someone's arm. The thought 'Arsene's going to be very disappointed' goes through his head. <Chomp>

Imagine the same scenario. The thought 'Fergie is going to go utterly, utterly mental about this. I'm going to be in so much trouble, they'll hear the swearing in Montevideo' goes through his head. No bite marks...

He's trouble for any side that isn't a United/City/Chelsea /Real (i.e. he knows that they can and will turn round and dump him if he carries on being a nuisance), and in any event, I'd have thought that a goalie, a centre half and a realisation that passing the ball into the net on every occasion isn't going to work would be better acquisitions for Wenger.
Dels

Excellent post as usual.

I've got a blind spot where Wenger is concerned. I still think he'd be more of a stabilising influence than Dalglish and Rogers.

Ultimately, Suarez is responsible for his own actions anyway.
verno

I agree with all that, Dave.
I hoped that as a club we had more class than to go after Suarez and more sense.
Dels

Spurs are spending money like Bale's already been sold. I think there's a deal already done, but in the name of the God of football , why they are pussy-footing about?
