Ladies & Gentlemen,

My fellow Admins and I would like to welcome you to the

FOOTBALL ITALIA FORUM COMPETITION THREAD!


Being the generous souls that we are, we've decided to offer our regular members something a little bit extra on top of providing you with the finest site in the UK to talk about all things calcio.

Here's how things will work:

The Forum Admins will select a specific Serie A match which we'll use to decide our winner, and all you have to do to become that winner is predict the minute that the first goal will be scored in the selected game.

And that's it.

As with most things in life though, there are some rules which must be obeyed if you want to take part so please take a minute to read the following:

FORUM SPECIFIC TERMS & CONDITIONS:

1. The competition is free to enter and is open to members with 'Regular Poster' status (minimum of 30 posts) and above.
   
2. All entrants must be 18 years of age or older.
   
3. Forum Administrators / Moderators are not permitted to enter the competition.
   
4. The Forum Administrator's decision will be final.

COMPETITION SPECIFIC TERMS & CONDITIONS:

1. Members have 92 options to choose from - minutes 1-90, first half injury time or second half injury time.
   
2. Each member is allowed only one entry per game - multiple entries are not permitted in any way, shape or form.
   
3. The deadline for competition entries is 60 minutes before kick-off in the selected match.
   
4. Each member's entry is secured on a 'first come, first served' basis e.g. if a member who has posted before you chooses the 22nd minute of the selected match, then that minute is theirs for the duration of the game.
   
5. In line with the 'first come, first served' nature of the competition, should all 92 possible options be taken by 92 individual members before the competition deadline, then no new entries will be accepted.
   
6. If no member guesses the correct minute of the first goal in the selected match, or the match ends as a 0-0 draw, then the current competition prize will roll over to a new match which will be selected by the Forum Administrators.
   
7. Members who are eligible to participate in the competition but submit more than one entry in the relevant competition thread will only have their first entry accepted.
   
8. The official goal time will be as per the Lega Calcio's website (www.lega-calcio.it) upon completion of the selected match, and the correct minute plus the winner's user name will be posted in the relevant competition thread.

Any future competitions we run will most likely use the same format to decide the winner as detailed above, so these terms and conditions will apply to all competitions unless otherwise stated.

This competiton was concluded on Sunday 25th October, and was won by Duncan! who correctly predicted that the first goal would be scored during the 7th minute of play in the match between Chievo and Milan at the Stadio Bentegodi.

Details of the next competition (whenever that may be!) will appear on this thread, but in the meantime we would like to thank all members who took part in our first ever competition and hope to see a few more of you join in next time around.
