So it seems that at least Cobollo Gigli has sense enough to listen to the fans and strive to buy a bigger name player than Poulsen. Which begs the question, why is he still allowing Secco to continue to be employed?

As long as a creative attacking midfield player arrives before 31/7, I don't regard the Poulsen deal as necessarily a bad acquisition.

I think now that we we'll probably acquire Drenthe to add pace and creativity to the left attacking MF. With Buffon, Flavia Roma/Cudicini as back up, Mellberg, Grygera, Chiellini, Legrottalie, Sissoko, Poulsen, Camoranesi, Zanetti, Giovinco, Marchsio, a fit Andrade, Iaquinta, Del Piero, Giovinco, Trezeguet, Amauri, Nedved with the possibility of Ivanovic and/or Drenthe I would say that it would look like an 'efficient' side a la Capello. |

I would not call the Andrade injury a disaster other than for him personally and professionally. We survived the entire season without him and we now have ore delth in defence. That said, this just opens many doors for quetionning yet again the vlaue that ALL of pur purchases last year have been a "write off". We simply played most of the season with our Serie B winning team enhanced by a couple of youngsters. Only Sissoko seemed to have made some difference but then again Zanetti has been class and I pray to god that we continue to play him as although he is a defensive midfielder, his assists are leathal. His performance against Inter in the return was one of the best defensive midfield performances I have ever seen.
Poulsen..ok, but then again, another defensive midfielder. If we are talking about Alonso again, then why spend the money on Poulsen. I seriously do not understand the thinking behind our transfer campaign. A 6 here and a 7 there and we literally have the sume of 40 million euros...enough to buy us two world calss players to supplement our existign team and the youngsters. |

But they dont care... We have 10 defensive midfielders and no right back and creative player in the middle. They already splashed 80 milllions in two years for nothing. About Andrade injury, it was expected...only crazy man could buy him after missing whole year in La Coruna. |

If only Claudio was more assertive about his transfer targets to Blanc/Secco/Gigli the following would not have happened.
Flamini was on a free transfer.We offered hin 3 mil.per year and Milan offered 4 mil.Of course he choose Milan. At that his demands about wages were too high for us.Maybe I agree that time.Now we sign Poulsen for 10 mil, and 3,5 mil.per year. So who is cheap and who is expensive, who is clever and who is stupid. Flamini is a better player than Poulsen and would costs us 8 million less for four years. Poulsen probably won't be a starter, but a OKish squad player. He was certainly a key player for Sevilla over the last couple of years, albeit a little nutty. |

Juventini do not dispair...yes ive said sooo many times that this isn't the same Juve that we all know and love. We can all slag Ranieri off know but its what he does at the end of this season that counts, one thing iv'e learn't is not to talk too soon i mean you never know Juve might win the leauge only the futre will tell. However your all talking about creativity but you have someone extremely special witjin your ranks...GIOVINCO, i reckon Juve are doing the right thing not mounting too much pressure on him and i bealive that poulsen was a brilliant buy. Dylan, my problem is that we arent being the typical tightfisted spending Juve. We have spent loads of money in the past 2 years but on no one that brings fantasy or guile.
We need one big signing to send a message to other clubs that we are able to compete in the Mercato. 10M for Mancini, we could have got him a year ago for that easy. Even Lampard is going for 7M. This is money we are already spending. Case in point against Piace, who is going to lift us up when the squad isnt doing it? Capitano is getting old and Seba isnt there yet. Admittedly we dont have the big players back from Euros yet but I am uneasy if we dont get one more signing. |

Its all very well that Juve have bought Poulsen but in my honest opinion the reason they have declared this statment saying that there transfer window is closed is beacuse Juve know that Liverpool have to sell Xabi Alonso so therefore it will force Rafa to sell him on the cheap, also if they do end up buying Alsono i can't understand how they will field him Sissoko, Zanetti, Poulsen, Giovinco and Marchiso all in the same team as in my opinion Giovinco, Zanetti and Marchiso will all be forced out of the line-up.

Blanc can still buy though. And transfers are done well outside of transfer windows (Alonso agreed to a contract from us pre July etc).
I still hold out some hope that we can pick one or two players up before September but this is the side thats most likely going to have to get us through the CL preliminaries. If Amauri and Trez are 1st choice, watch for a lot of Chelsea style long ball punts next season

Been on holiday for a week, but heard about Poulsen. Another uninspiring signing who adds nothing to the side. Xabi Alonso was the right sort of midfielder to be chasing, but we typically end up with Poulsen who will act as back-up to Zanetti.
The squad that has been constructed isn't really that much stronger then last season. Del Piero, Trezeguet, Nedved and Camoranesi are all a year older. Amauri, Mellberg and Poulsen add depth more than anything with the best new arrival being a player already owned in the shape of Giovinco. The title will remain a dream for atleast another season. I wish Secco would get a lifetime ban from transfers. He really is useless. |

Ranieri is a yes man. Hes thrown his lot in with Secco completely, therefore it makes sense to say Poulsen was his choice. Deschamps openly disagreed with our summer plans last year and looked what happened to him.
I still think we will get someone on loan (Drenthe maybe) and one high profile purchase. As dumb as Secco and Blanc are, Cobollo Gigli is apparently aware of our preceived rubbishness on the mercato and may authorise one more move. Hey ho, its worth speculating until Aug 31st. |

amauri with a nicely taken header from Molinaro cross Iaquinta with a solo run into the box beating the keeper (very nice goal). 2nd half bought player changes and Brondby scored a penalty. Chiellini, Sissoko, Buffon and Leggro got a run out so some 1st teamers are getting back into fitness. Albin Ekdal is looking like quite the player if im honest hes too good to go on loan. I saw last night game. Must admit that Ekdal is great. It is another proof that Secco is moron. Ekdal will probably play alongside Sissoko, and Zanetti is still around. So we have Poulsen to be steward. Also young Rossi was really good. It looks like he is potential to replace pavel next year. I heard Brondby is shit but we will see.
