a fair and valid point, if we get him while he is young we can mould him into the player we want...
Drughi

It is question of our objectives for next season...if we want to compete for something selling David would be disaster.

But I think we are not good enough...I would be surprised to see Juve finish in top four.

Last year we were on Ale shoulders...no one expect him to repeat heroics from last season.

And our transfer campaign...unproved Amauri, Xabi Alonso that cant improve things we need ( we have Marchisio and Zanetti and dont need Xabi)...so we are still short on position we need, right back, quality central defender and someone to replace Nedved. Seba cant play at left midfield in 4 / 4 / 2...and if f**king Ranieri dont understand it, will destroy Seba like he did with Palladino.

Only smart thing now would be to sack bad coach we have, bring youth players and someone like VdV and Zapata and try to fight for 4th place. And of course to build team for future.

We already ruined that kind of chance by splashing 40 millions on player we dont need.

I hope we will have tough schedule, lost first few games, sack Ranieri and send Secco to hell in order to  start rebuilding real Juventus.

With two games per week and without Del Piero heroics we are disaster waiting to happen.

If reserve Spanish midfielder is best we can have at calciomercato we are in serious problems. Xavi is good player but simply he cant make difference. I see someone think he is great passer...

Great as Zanetti? Remember some Del Piero goals this season...
Dylan1

Flotron and a good goal it was too, not disputing Huntellar at all.

JuveBoy yes but we can't afford Huntellar without 3zeguet sell. And then what would be Ajax' demands?

Fratello we will surprise a few people, I trust in our boys. VdV is my dream you know that.

Now what do you all think of Rakitic? He is only 20.

Drughi at least we will kick them into defeat.

Domeneach left 3zeguet at home
Duncan!

And Mexes
Dylan1

Yes Mexes I forgot Duncan, pound for pound may be the best central defender about.

I'm not sure of the current situation of Tomas Guzman...
gurjio

Last i heard Guzman was co-owned by Piacenza?
Dylan1

Lanzafame is in co-ownership.

We have done a deal with Mensa FC, 29 year old Stankovic for 12m and 3.5 to the player per season. Liverpool request was 18m for Xabi and Juventus would not go past 16m. Any other player Juventus are to sign will be on players exchange only. As with Podolski, the offer is Tiago or Iaquinta
gurjio

Hold on Stankovic INSTEAD of alonso?

are you sure Dylan?

thats fooked up, we absolutely need Alonso, seriously did you see him yesterday against Greece?
Dylan1

Gurjio I know Xaby is good but the asking price, apparently, is too much. And I dreamed VdV... Stankovic is no answer to our midfield issues.
Liam

I'd have taken Stankovic a few years ago, but not now.  Would be a big big mistake.
gurjio

Cobollo Gigli has stated that we are 100% not going to sign Stankovic, Podolski or Aquilani apparently.

If thats true then im ecstatic, indifferent and gutted.  Guess which player goes with which emotion
Liam

Nice to see that Secco has landed a top quality defender.

http://www.channel4.com/sport/football_italia/jun21f.html

Rumours about a move for the Turkish player Arda Turan as well.  I've been impressed by him, and he's only 21 so would be a good signing, therefore he won't be joining Juventus anytime soon.
Duncan!

oh yeah, and once again  Chiellini is simply THE MAN!!!  One of my new favs over the last year, he is just awesome and really put in a performance against Spain.

Liam - If you ask me: Alonso, Arda and so on, smack of Inter's campaigns through out the ninties and most of the tens (other than Ronaldo). I am afraid we are fast deteriorating into a team that will be fighting at best for third and fourth. Don't get me wrong - they are good players, but I am not getting any more positive vibes than I did when I heard we bought Iaquinta and Tiago...they are good players but not Juve players. From my experience with Juve, our players tend to fall in one of three categories: super star signings ( Zidane, Platini,. Baggio, Viali...), hungry and ofren hungry Italians or players tested in Series A (we were the Bayern of Serie A..top Italian players come to juve other than those who came through Roma's youth academy and tended to stay there....Alex, Zambrotta, Canna, Nedved and the list goes on) and finally what I like to call opportunistic purchases (Canna, Mutu)..those smack of Moggi and with Moggi gone we ran out of opportunistic, and with money seemingly dwindling, we ran out of the super star purchasing power and are left with the second category only we do not have much faith in those younsters so we try to convince ourselves we are buying top quality players by buying Alonso and Amauri and god knows who else.

The Juve I knew would be talking Messi, Dinho (although I hate his guts) and Eto....and supplementing them with the likes of Grosso, VdV and if we have, and absoultely have to sell Trez which seems like a stupid idea to me, then someone like Huntelaar...GOD HELP US
Macxz

I'm trying to be a tad more optimistic about the future season, but it's becoming more difficult.  I'm happy with our youngsters, and I truely hope they get a chance in the team rather than the also rans that Secco has brought in.  Palladino going to Genoa is not a step in the right direction.

And Stankovic no way... just forget about that.. we don't need any Inter merde stiffs.

I'm hoping that Amauri will be worth all the nonsence in the end.. but I'm not holding my breath.

If Juve were had management with balls they would be breaking the bank for Aquilani now.
rossi82

This is what Channel Four had to say about Chellini: An absolute giant for Italy out there. The least experienced member of the defence, the Juventus stopper stood out with a performance that will live long in the memory – especially when you consider what he was up against in the form of David Villa and Fernando Torres.

Alex had a no vote. If for no other reason, Donadoni deserves to be axed simply for not giving him a real chance. I am not convinced Di Natalie or Cassano had superios games. Not sure what others saw but when it comes to Alex the bar is much much higher.

An excellent performance. Again, Buffon, Chellini and Camo were easily the men of the match. For the last hundred years and I promise you for the next hundred years Juve will be a school that will generate quality Italian players who can compete at such level. I respect Roma's youth academy but feel their players are not really equipped to fight at the highest levels when it comes to such competitions.

Stankovic is skum...simply skum...this move if it happens will show beyond reasonable doubt that our management lost the plot. Let us all remember that we played with a pure Juve/Italian team most of last season and beat everyone..literally. Our foreing signings were injured or sidelined but we still managed ok.
Drughi

We already had meeting about Stankovic case...he will find life really hard in Torino if moron Secco brings him.

I dont see im wear our shirt...so Rossi amico dont worry.
Liam

Rossi, I agree.  Whatever people say about Moggi he ruled the transfer market.  To have that kind of person in charge of transfers, and then have to drop to someone of Secco's standards is just depressing.  Is he really chasing Podolski?  Where will he fit in?

Chiellini was superb, the best player on the pitch.  He's the future not only for this Juventus but for Italy too.
Bracey

I want to see us keep things Italian. Look at where journeymen stranieri have gotten us in the past - Esnaider, Athirson, Van Der Sar, etc.

Now all I need is the Aquilani and Quaresma links to come true

I'll drive Zebina to Turkey, even though I can't drive.

Liam wrote:

I remember Terry Venables, then a Leeds United coach, saying something similar in connexion with Olivier Dacourt's boast/desire of a move to Roma a few years ago.

Zebina still has his followers among the tifosi. That siad the number of his admirers is falling faster than Coldplay's reputation. The media has us linked with an unfeasably large number of defenders, the latest of which is the 31 year old Siena back four player Doria.

I think it is realized by most Juventus fans that what we really need is Zapata. When will Secco and Blanc realize this and just do what is necessary to achieve this objective?

Meanwhile I'm confused as to the state of play in connexion with the attempts being made to sign Xabi Alonso. Is the deal floundering because:-

a) Xabi has changed his mind
b) Liverpool have upped their price
c) Secco/Blanc now prefer an alternative (Senna/Arda Turan and say half a dozen others
d) None of the above.
gurjio

Xabi situation is (as I understand it):

a)he still wants to come and has signed a pre-contract (worth nothing at this stage though)
b) Liverpool and Juve are stuck at the price neither will budge
c) They are looking for alternatives (Senna and Turan seem to be faves bcos they are cheaper but Juve are also trying for Aquilani if they are going to spend that much on Xabi)
d) Secco is a moron
Luftwaffles

Gurjio thanks for that. I read today in Corriere dello Sport that Blanc and the Cda are on the Xabi case today. So, if the price remains deadlocked, I guess that will be the end of that and, as you surmise, an effort is made to move forward with either Aquilani, Turan or Senna.

Meanwhile, news that Trez will be staying is welcome. Just as good is the news that the Cda have acknowledged the revulsion of the tifosi caused by their lunatic attempt to sign Stankovic resulting in the curtailment of this sad episode.

Looking now at the overall picture, the attacking midfield still needs strengthening in the area currently occupied by Nedved. This important matter still needs to be addressed as does hte fourth back four player.

That said, things now progressing it seems.
Drughi

As far as I know board of merda gave green light to Secco and Blanc to go ahead in negotiation with Stankovic.

If Inter cut transfer demands we are in trouble...or better, Stankovic is in trouble...

Myles

Ranieri for two years, then hopefully Lippi when he's finish with the Azzurri, so in three years we'll have the Champions League and get to three finals in a row.
Duncan!

Man, I hope Lippi can do it again
Dylan1

Raj, buddy how's tricks these days?

Fratello we have sunk as low as Stankovic, Recoba next?

Gurjio Lanzafame had his contract extended.

Lippi is back with Ciro, time to rebuild the side.
Raj!

 Marco and Gurjio

Not too bad here.... just been way too busy with stuff recently...never seeming to find time to pop back onto my old stomping ground that is this thread...how you been?

...still been following Juve as closely as ever though.

Yup heard about Stankovic.... Noooooooo!!!!!

Thought we had a nice solid first season back in Serie A... went  out to see a game in January... the one v samp in turin... had to be the worst game I have ever attended in my life... awful.. but was good to see our new temp home... but all accounts it’s a nice compact stadium... and easily accessible via tram from the centre...

Some interesting signings over the last 12 months or so.... Amiron and Tiago being the biggest let downs ever.... Andrade getting injured way too early to be judgible... Iaquinta has done alright coming in and out of the side... Sissoko I think was a great signing,..and he is getting better every game he plays... he's going to be a fixture in there for a while....

Need some creativity in the centre with sissoko... Alonso? not sure what to make of this... I have seen him run games from midfield with some great passing,.. but not sure he can do it on a regular basis...  I'd love them to sign Aquilani... he seems to be the future of the nazionale and maybe Juve can mould him into a more creative player that both Juve and the nazionale need?

Up front... Amauri was a great signing...on form... I just hope that his form is a little more permanent then say...Almiron... who clearly was a flash in the pan.... hoping Amauri is the real deal.

Must say...in my absence from this foro, I've grown to love trezza! The man is back in love with Juve and delivering those goals regularly.... but what do you chaps make of near £20 mill offers for him from Barca? as much as he's won me over.... that's pretty good money for a chap his age?? and  with Amuari already there.. .maybe be we can sign one for the future... Huntelaar perhaps??

Good to see Giovinco back in Turin too.... this boy's the real deal... forget talk of the likes of cassano... Giovinco is the future of Juve and Italy.

God I'm blabbering on here.... one last thought for the national side... they were that good a team this time around.... but those limitations weren't helped by the moronic selections of donadoni.. a man that was way outta his depth and should never have been appointed in the first instance... hell bent on not picking ADP ahead of the likes of Di Natale and Cassano... what the hell did they do for Italy in the euro's or Serie A that the top scorer in Serie A didn't?.... then not having the ball to drop a clearly lost Luca Toni...man that guy didn't have a clue... I thought he missed a hatful in the world cup... he only went on to prove that he blows even more on the national stage then I thought,... and to top it all off...playing perrotta behind the strikers?!!!!!  the man deserved the sack just for that alone.

Anyhoo, nothing personal Donadoni clearly is a nice guy...a good decant chap and all that jazz.... but that means nothing when you such at your job. sorry just the way it is.

Still some good came from the euro's chiellini really grew into that central role in the defence... that should be good for the nazionale and Juve for many years to come....

Any of you chaps going to the friendly at the emirates in August??
Dylan1

Raj the voice of reason.

3zeguet did B, he is untouchable Raj he just is.

Quaresma you old fancy is back in the running, Amauri not sure Cavenaghi, 2 years younger, was available at 6m. considering Tiago and Almiron cost....

Not convinced by Ranieri Buddy  how about you?

We need a Paulo Sosa.

Xabi is another ball winner Aquilani is a class act.
gurjio

Raj im going to both days for the emirates stadium.

Dylan, Stankovic looks likely which means we wont have cash for Aquilani

we could still get Xabi, I dont want Senna, he isnt anything better than what we have.  At least Xabi will offer nice passes from the middle (yes i know about zanetti but hes in his 30s).
gurjio

also, blanc wanted the squad in place by the start of
pinzolo next friday so stinkybitch will be purchaseable by then
rossi82

Raj- welcome back. You make good points...

Now, a question to all: putting aside his Inter past and the fact that he f%^cking annoys me for a number of reasons, who thinks Stancovic is a good player? I am trying to look at it objectively but need help in that arena....I think last year was crap for him but before then he has been consistently in form..plus he can score..no, he is not Vd Vart but we can not afford the latter nor Diego, and we do not have scouts in latin america apparently, so this guy may be a decent option for now...I can not believe I am thinking positive about him but oh well...am trying
Liam

Judging by the fact he's touching 30 and seemed below his best last season I'd say Stankovic is a player in decline.  Would be an utterly pointless signing who would freeze out a promising younger player like Marchisio.
Raj!

I'm going to the Saturday game... but am also considering the Sunday too... should be a good op to see how some of the new signings are looking...

Marco, agree with ya about Trezza.... he did B.... he stays.... was just thinking about the cash... what with the shortage of funds in Serie A in general and all that.... but no.. he wants to stay, he did B, and he's scoring... he stays.

Yes indeed Qauresma seems back in vogue.... have always rated him.. just been a little unsure about his temperament... but talent he's always had in abundance.... damn shame he looks on the verge of inter....

Cavenaghi.... another pick from the past.... where on earth is the these days.... that boy looked class... but seemed have a made transfers.....  agreed we've splashed out big on Amauri... I just hope he is the real deal....

Totally agreed about Ranieri.... must say I was not too displeased by his initial appointment... despite any of his short comings as a manager...one thing he's always done really well is build sides.... and to be fair after our stint in Serie B and the player exodus... a rebuilding project is exactly what we had at Juve.... he's done well enough in season one.... season 2 I'd expect a much stronger title challenge and good run in champs league.... season 3... he needs to have us winning one of these big 2 trophies...if he fails I think we should show him the door... Lippi should have won his second world cup by then and ready to take over....?

... but thus far I think Ranieri deserves the benefit of doubt?

Yes indeed Aquliani over Alonso... but also agree with Gurjio... Alonso has a good pass on him to go with combat skills... though we need more creativity to complement sissoko...oh hell i'll take either Alonso or Aquilani... Aquilani if we have the cash alonso if not...

...as you said Marco... we need a Paulo Sousa... he was majestic... just don't see anyone about right now that looks to have his ability...

Stinkybitch....!! class! lol!  don't like the bloke for blowing us out initially.... but so long as we look to add another player I think he'd be a good addition to the squad? He is quality and cheap... even if we sit him on the bench... it’d just give us options....

Is it just me or does anyone else think we should have gone in for a class central defender?? OK Mellberg is a decent enough addition to the squad... chiellini is going to be great as one of them... andrade... I’m not so certain looked that great in the few games he played.... may deliver... but should that be a risk we take? should sign a defender....

And the Bionic One.... how on earth are we going to replace him??!!! OK not this season... but eventually even the Bionic one is gonna run out of juice...

Sorry for ranting on again... just making up for lost time!
Raj!

as per somewhere in my rambling email above.. I'm agreed with ya...  good points about Diego and Van der Vaart... they'd be my choices 1 and 2 too... but if we can't afford em... we gotta do whatever it takes... and Stankovic is good... ok had a poor season but so does everyone... he is good... his only flaw is that he can be a total tosspot.... but personal differences aside... I'd have him in my sqaud....
Liam

Raj, Chiellini needs a top class long term partner.  I'm happy with Legrottaglie who was excellent last season, but he's no long term answer and isn't world class or potentially world class like Chiellini.  Andrade didn't convince me that much when he played, although I've rated him highly in the past.  I think his injury has probably finished him off at Juve though.  It's not his first serious knee injury and he is now 30.  A shame as he could have been an excellent signing once he settled in.  Mellberg is a good defender, but not a top class one.  He'll most likely provide the squad with a bit more depth and he's also a right back option.

So yes I'd like another centre back in the Chiellini mould, ie already excellent, but also long term, but I can't see it happening.

Welcome back by the way.
Dylan1

At last! Juventus fans all over Italy 'we do not want Stankovic'.

Raj Cavenaghi had a good season in France. My shopping list remains Van der Vaart, Aguero and Lugano. Agreed Buddy, Tinker is goid at building sides.Failure and in 2 years Conte? will be reasdy. 3zeguet 20m. is a good price age taken into account, Huntelaar is the ideal replacement but Serie A is another ball game. Once we get 20 for David what will Ajax demand be? The one who will eventually do it for us will be Lanzafame, the new Bettega.

Criscito is back too.

Fratello Secco needs loking up.
Dylan1

I read the Agnelli are willing to put their hand in the pocket for Aquilani
gurjio

Mate, I read every year that the Agnellis will pay for a player but when was the last time they did?

gurjio wrote:

You mean the Elkans...there are no real pure Agnellis left..only kids who live in NYC
Liam

Diego says he'd like to move to Juventus ( ) or Inter ( ).  Ignore the fact he mentioned Inter he's a quality player and Secco should be making him his priority.
nino

And Huntelaar's up for sale since no contract has been sorted so Ajax won't be holding him for ransom. Bloody hell how does Secoo just watch the world go by?
Mezz

Last I heard Huntelaar wasn't looking for a move this summer as he wanted to play for Van Basten and Cruyff who are taking over at the ArenA this coming season, but it does indeed seem that he could be on his way:

http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11906_3749957,00.html

Personally I would love him to join Man United, but for some bizarre reason Fergie doesn't seem to interested. If Juventus actually manage to land him they'd have one hell of a player on their books, but I feel his style would be more suited to the Premier League or even the Bundesliga myself...
Dylan1

Knezevic signs 5 year deal with the Gobbini.

Aquilani is the target now, Blanc has the father's agreement and the Romolini might let go.
Dylan1

Veloso 15m plus the Tiago ghost.

The pleasure of getting Knesevic is having nicked him from the Mulita.

Cairo cu cu Knesevic non c'e' piu' Fratello it has to be worth it
Dylan1

Xabi voted best player of Euro 2008.
gurjio

Dylan, are you sure that wasnt Xavi?  Alonso was good this tourney but he didnt play a lot in terms of hours on the pitch.
flotron

yeah it was Xavi, I really liked the way the Brazilian Senna played, but it's not really what we are looking for

Is this Veloso good? I've not seen him play
Dylan1

Yes Xavi talking b......s Alonso did not even start most of th games.

Flotron Veloso is a bit temperamental but he is the business, only 22, should we get Aquilani as well we we would begin to look like proper side again
Raj!

That Xavi has always been class though... rightfully the player of the tournament...

senna/silva looked good in the tourney... but just get the feeling they're nothing special in the long run..

Veloso can be pretty darn great... and if we get to dump Tiago into the deal it's gotta be a win:win.... hell we should chuck in Almiron's contract too and turn it into a win:win:win......

Blanc seems pretty determined in his pursuit of Aquilani.... if he comes through...as Dylan said we will indeed start looking like a real side....

need a class defender to go with Chiellini tooo....

Haven't seen this Knesevic character play... did he play for croatia in the euro??? if so I clearly was not paying too much attention.... is he any good???

Marco, agreed about Lanzafame...could become pretty darn good.... yup Van der Vaart would be a class acquisition... but I can't see em pulling it off... they faffed about the possibility for too long now.... could be an ideal replacement for the Bionic One too... but there you go.... Secco!!!!!!

Ah yes Conte.... where is he now? is he still at Lecce??
Myles

Dude!!! Welcome back!
gurjio

now that we have knezevic for £10, Mellberg for nothing, plus Andrade will essentially be a new signing this year.  Chiellini, Leggro and Grygera all able to play CB.

All of which means we wont be getting Zapata this year

So with Flavio Roma coming in as no. 2 (good business that btw) and one midfielder, we will be:

                                         Buffon

Grygera           Chiellini                  Leggro             De Ceglie

Camo               Sissoko            Alonso/Aquilani      Nedved/Giovinco

                            Del Piero          Trez/Amauri

With squad of: Moley, Mellberg, Andrade, Marchisio, Zanetti, Bracco, Marchionni, Iaquinta, Seba, Roma.

Ive omitted Zebina as  i think he may be leaving (please god) and wont mention al**ron and Ti**go.
Duncan!

Damn, with a bit more offensive attitude against Spain we could have been Euro champs.

Hope Lippi can rectify that and strike the balance for WC 2010!
Duncan!

which, BTW, they should move over here
Liam

Lanzafame must be good.  Secco's got rid of him...
Dylan1

Lanzafame' deals the same to the one made for De Ceglie,it is to induce Palermo to play him regularly hence icreasing his value and receipt at the end of the spell. Lanzafame has not been sold.
Duncan!

I hope he does get to play regularly.  I would like to see many of the young Italian players get regular run in their teams.  Hopefully Giovinco and De Ceglie will get plenty of PT in Turin this season

You think Leggro and Chiellini will remain the frist choice pairing in defence?
gurjio

De Ceglie has looked a lot better than Molinaro so I think Ranieri will start him.

I think that although Mellberg is probably the better player and Andrade was before his injury, leggro plays well alongside Chiellini so they will start the first few official games.  We have Arsenal, Madrid, Man u etc soon so we will see a lot of Giovinco and the boys early on.

Yeah listen to Dylan not to some websites - Lanza and Volpato are still ours
gurjio

Heh heh, nice to see Goal.com changed their article about Lanzafame to reflect the truth rather than encourage Secco bashing (as fun as that is).  These deals, while not quite traditional co-ownerships are good business.  We get cash in 2 years if their values go up or we buy back if they make good juve players.

Thats what we should have been doing for years.  If we had we would have had a lot more money or playing time from Gasbarroni, Paro, Brighi, etc.
Dylan1

Absolutely Gurjio, now there is talk of Poulsen as a buy
Liam

Glad to hear Lanzafame hasn't gone permanently then.

Pleasing to read that  j1897  has petitioned the Cda a second time. This one to urge Blanc to get the Alonso deal signed, sealed and delivered. Some sources now suggesting Friday will see an announcement, reulting from Blanc trip to Liverpool today..

Dude!!! Welcome back!

Hey man! what's new?

so is Secco now relying on calcio forums for divine inspiration???

If so I'm gonna start up a petition...

"Resign you stupid muppet!"

may I have the "I's"....

....      Chiellini to take over from Secco.... he's doing  job for him anyways.... keep Aquillani on that speed dial...

we're looking at Poulsen now...  what in the blue hell is going on?!!! reasoning behind it... he's a cheaper alternative to Veloso or Alonso.... I think there's a freakin' good reason why he's cheaper.... and it's not because he's better!!!!  Secco

Next Milan will be switching their interest from the likes of adabayor, drogba, etoo etc to...... bentdner,,,, oh wait.... hell that's their problem...

... all those fans that so effectively ran skankobitch (?) outta town.... re-arm..... and run Secco outta town... he just upsets me all the time!!

Buddy I am lost for words, as you know, it is unheard of.

Too much money for Amauri , nobody else was interested, lets face it had anyone been we would have lost out. If he does turn out to be, like I fear, a flash in the pan we can kiss another season goodbye.

If you haven't got a man in the midlle who can run the game, read it and administer play you are going nowhere. Van der Vaart was the answer. Now if Pierino and 3zeguet don't have another golden season...and even with their outstanding performances we finshed 3rd.

Aguero was cheaper than Amauri and Lugano, a Montero recommendation, wasn't that expensive. Because of Amauri we don't have Lanzafame now.

You know had Salas agreed a move to Sporting Juventus would have got C Ronaldo. He would still be out on loan to Siena.
Why can't they just play these young guns and let them get on with it?
Dylan1

Perché la Juventus di Boniperti-Charles-Sivori ha stregato una generazione?
«Perché ognuno aveva qualcosa che mancava all’altro.

Giampiero Boniperti is 80 years old today.

Apparently, Cobollo Gigli is going to make an announcement tomorrow or early next week regarding a midfielder and a "surprise".

Everyone is speculating that we will announce Xabi and maybe a surprise player but knowing our current luck it will be announcing the signing of Poulsen and that Secco has extended his contract for 35 years.
juveboy

Or the return of David Baiocco
Drughi

Well, I was quiet for few days as my friends I have no idea what to write. You see that season of tears coming for Juventus but it seems like fans are not able to stop it.

Ok we stopped Stankovic Merda but looking at our team, it is like last summer, we didnt solve any problem we have.

It is obvious that current board is incompetent and their transfer moves make us crying (or laughing if you dont support Juve).

As Dylan said, it was easy to see what we need...VdV and Zapata or maybe Lugano (I think Aguero is unrealistic target )...and we had reserve of reserve Amauri as 4th choice striker...we lost fantastic Lanzafame and also Nocerino ( Ranieri destroyed him)...now we will insist for Alonso even it means Marchisio will lost chance to impress...and of course record of Spain players in Serie A speaks enough...Alonso is big gamble in my opinion.

So we still dont have right back, Nedved replacement and creative midfielder. We have several Moggi era stars but I doubt our captain and icon can repeat last season heroics.

Mensa FC, Roma and possibly Milan are better than us, Fiorentina is also really strong with Gila and Vargas...so playing two games per a week could ruin our chances to be even 4th.

And our coach is cowardly shit...more, we will suffer by Collina merda influenced refs as our board is bunch of imcompetetent morons who are trying to be sympatic.

It will be worst season for Juve in last 20 years.

See you friends.
Liam

Drughi, I agree with your points.  No problems have yet been solved.  We've signed a striker, when we already have the best strikeforce in the league.  What does that solve?  Knezevic signs from Livorno when we already have 4 centre backs if we include Andrade.  Zebina still remains, and as you say there's no cover for the injury prone Grygera at right back.  No central midfielder has yet arrived the main target appears to change like the weather.  Does Secco even have a main target?  If he does then I guess his list has the cheapest first and the most expensive last.  Moggi knew which player he wanted and went all out to get them.  Secco spends most of the summer changing his mind and then settles for 7th best.

We cannot be forever relying on Camoranesi, Nedved, Del Piero and Trezeguet to get us out of trouble.  They're all the wrong side of 30, and apart from Giovinco I don't see another player in the squad capable of replacing any of them in the long term.
Dylan1

We are now seriously looking at Poulsen....

Fratello Beccantini on La Stampa reminds the Gobbi that in 1976 Juventus swapped Capello for Benetti and Anastasi for Boninsegna. The ultras went mad attacking Boniperti's residence. Juventus went on to win Scudetto and UEFA Cup.

We once had a fight with Parma over Figo now we fight Mulita over Knvic, not even a first choice. How tmes have changed.
Luftwaffles

What's the lowdown on a "surprise" that has been promised?

Is it the prospect of a loan deal for Drenthe, do you think?

Regarding the market activity so far this summer, I'm not as pessimistic as seems to be the case in these parts. Amauri, Xabi Alonso, Mellberg and the return of Giovinco, Marchisio and De Ceglie has to be seen as a step in the right direction. Unable to make a comment about Knezevic.

Surely the Cda are only too aware that the attacking midfield lacks some pace and I acknowledge that we have key players over 30 who will need replacing eventually, the most obvious case in point being Pavel Nedved. I still have faith that the club will make an announcement that will be another step in the right direction.

i doubt it, they havent made any so far.....

new shirts launched today.... away one is vey different...  ... I think I like it..... the home one seems identical to the current one... apart from the red element turning to yellow.....

just hope the money they get from me doesn't go on Poulsen!!!
Drughi

Fratello, reason fans are opposed Stankovic isnt his quality (although he is past) but his comments and attitude towards Juventus.

So Beccantini cant see things in that way, simply it isnt same...

We are in big trouble as they will put too much expectations on Seba...it is best way to destroy him in same way Ranieri destroyed Palladino, Nocerino and Criscito.
gurjio

Just ordered my home and away shirts.  Its so much fun, my cards get declined and my bank phones me to see if im a victim of fraud, and then im allowed to get them!

£120 for 2 shirts is feckin daylight robbery though.

put that in the Aquilani kitty Secco!
Liam

So now Secco wants a player on loan from Real Madrid.  Juventus don't do loans for other clubs cast-offs.  Is he that useless, or lazy that he can't get a decent player permanently.

Ranieri seems to think he's doing well as well!

We'll finish 3rd again, 4th if Milan buck their ideas up and only have some more magical moments from Del Piero to look forward to.

I'm thinking the same as you. I think I like it. Not bad at all.

Was hoping for thinner stripes on the home shirt though.
Liam

Ranieri says he wants Stankovic.  He is completely out of touch with the feelings of the fans over this one.  His comments following the Calciopoli trial and the way he signed for Inter mean he should never ever be allowed to pull on a Juventus shirt.  That's ignoring the fact that he's possibly in decline as well, so wouldn't be an intelligent acquisition for a side needing to invest in the future.

As for the new home shirt, I agree with Raj.  Its more or less the same as last years.  Also agree with Nino about the stripes.  The Serie B home shirt had thinner stripes and was better than this one and last seasons.
Dylan1

Buddy wonderful looking shirts but on the back of Stronzovic and Spitoon-Poulsen.....?
Duncan!

Stinkovic is a total @sswipe.   For many many reasons

Laziale butt dumpling!
gurjio

Poulsen???!!!

Seriously,  wtf is going on?  How is he a "top class midfielder"??

Secco is a prick.
Liam

Any deal for Poulsen would be like the signing of Andrade last season.  Secco can't get his first choice targets, so will sign someone on the cheap instead.  Andrade has admittedly been injured, but he was never first choice.  Poulsen is just the same.  We should be signing someone like Alonso, and even Quaresma or Diego, but there's no chance with an idiot like Secco running things.  I fear Nedved and Del Piero will have to play into their 40s because Secco can't be arsed to get long-term replacements in.
Raj!

yup agreed about the thinner stripes... far more classy.... maybe next season...

indeed great shirts but not on the backs of skankobitch or paul sen... we're neither a brothel nor a karate club...

Worrying though that Ranieri... and now even Nedved are really talking up the inter merda...

and what's the surprise they keep talking of??? Alonso and a surprise.... what no alonso and the surprise is Poulsen?? or have Ferrari gone and signed fernando alonso as head janitor?

I freaking hate surprises... particularly from the muppets that are in charge of our club right now...
Dylan1

Giovanni Viola age 82 passed away today, Juventus keeper for 10 seasons  won 3 Serie A titles and played for celestini 11 times.

At least he will not have to endure the pitiful club we are becoming any longer..
Luftwaffles

Poulsen arrive. What a surprise.

Sissoko/Poulsen mmm............
Dylan1

Definitely Poulsen very sad
Luftwaffles

I see the sense in getting Poulsen as Sissoko's alternative, but it's a lot of money for an alternative when someone like Xabi should be a priority.
Gigli said we're going to spend between 10m and 30m on a midfielder. Poulsen costs 10, what about his other 20?

And what about this f***ing surprise?
Dylan1

What if Tiago does a Legrottaglie finds his feet and turns back into the player we know he can be?
Liam

More rumours now that Alonso is set to sign again.

I wish the surprise was Secco being humiliatingly sacked, but it'll probably be the unveiling of yet another player we don't need.
Luftwaffles

Benitez will complete Barry deal tomorrow and has commenced negotiations for David Silva.

So, additional to the €12m received for Crouch he needs another €20m.

The London Daily Mirror are reporting that Xabi Alonso will be completing his move from Liverpool to Juventus. It’s also reported that the move will be finalized in the next 24 hours.

Alonso has long been linked with a move to Italy but it appears that Juventus are not willing to pay £16 million for the Spaniard. However, it seems that both clubs have reached an agreement. More to follow.

Thats a possibility Dylan, but as good as Leggro has been we have all wanted a Zapata or Ivanovic etc  bcos we still have the nagging doubt.

Even if Tiago fulfills his potential we gain a very good defensive midfielder who still doesnt offer the creativeness (in my opinion).

Pleeeeease let us get Alonso AND Poulsen to shore up midfield and if need be Ivanovic and Drenthe on loan would make us a very good squad indeed.
