Lovely waste of money. Really think we should have held onto Nocerino as well, he's only 21 and can only improve. Didn't do great this season but to be fair to the lad he did a lot better than Tiago/Almiron etc.

If you run a business and hire someone, you don't always hire a nice person, you hire the person who can do a good job for you, even if he's a prick. Amauri has pissed us all off by acting like a mercenary, but nobody can dispute that he's a great striker, so let's see how it turns out. He's a different option up front, and I think he'd cause people problems in the Champions' League. He'll have to go some to win us over, but then Cristiano Ronaldo's unbearably egotistical and I don't see Manchester United fans wanting him sold because they dislike his personality
|
Dylan
|
The problem with Amauri is his pitiful scoring record prior to this season, if you are in the league Amauri is touted to be in you don't wait to be 28 to hit the big time. Please let me be wrong.
Aquilani is next, doubled his earnings with the guaranteed starting place. Now that is one hell of a signing and a long project with Sissoko and Marchisio. Trappattoni' Juve is coming back.
How could we sign that Brazilian spunk pot. He looks like a gipsy with all the intellect of Maradona and the charisma of Mancini.
What next? Jason Donovan to replace Mick Jagger as the Stones' front man?

But dylan, Toni has only began to peak between 28-30 and hes become one of the best strikers in europe. Some have it, some have to work at it. And when amauri first started at palermo he was ripping every team a new one, so he has potential.
For me its his mercenary attitude, id rather someone who wants to be here not here by default just cos the team he really wanted didnt put in an offer/qualify for the CL
Well we will see, we all bitched about sissoko and hes turned out to be rather good, so lets give him a season and then we can moan about him in earnest.

Agree bro...Amauri is waste of money. Where he will play? If capitano is tired and injured Seba will play, if Trezeguet is out Iaquinta is first choice...I cant undestand people throwing money for guy that is solid but not world class. Del Piero and Trezeguet are world class, Drogba is world class, Torres is world class, even f**king Klose is world class...Amauri, no, just solid player for lower clubs.
About Aquilani, he is great player, still I dont think we can get him, not before we gave them Iaquinta...and I dont like to see Iaquinta leaving...he was instrumental this season.
Let's stay calm aobut Sissoko performances in Italy...refs will catch him like they caught Ince decade ago in Inter...you simply cant beat people in such naive way...only Davids could...
Marchisio could be key player already this season.
I doubt in our team, we cant expect capitano to play like this season...so best possible finish for us is 4th place...and I also doubt in it if we cant get some good coach.
Of course if we buy VdV and Zapata things will change, with likes of Amauri and likes of Palombo and Campagnaro we will be laughing stock next season...
Dont go bro...it is great to exchange some words about club...

Anyone for Wayne Bridge?
Bridge will join the England squad next week and will pick the brains of head coach Fabio Capello, who was coach of Juventus between 2004-06, before he makes a decision to transfer to Juventus.
Bridge is not expected to make the bench for tomorrow's Champions League Final against Manchester United and is convinced his future lies elsewhere.

Luft mate Vargas is due to sign for Fiorentina today....
Fratello I think Pierino will olay a blinder in Euro C. and next season. We will let go of Iaquinta like Palladino he wants to play and Vincenzo is part of the group of players, it is said, who don't think much of Ranieri. That includes Alex and David.
You are right I won't let that wanker drive me away and I love Juventus too much.
But did they not learn anything from Tiago and Almiron? Though Tiago is showing signs of class of late. We could have signed Cavenaghi, 26, for 6m. We could have got Gilardino for 14m.
Even my Great Dane is better at transfer dealing.
Ehi, Amauri still has to pass the medical, he might have Syphilis or Gonorrhoea. Both hopefully...

Please not Wayne Bridge! If he wants to wear black and white I'm sure Newcastle United would welcome him. He's not of sufficient quality for Juve.
In fact, if Ranieri really is after him I think it proves he's not the right man to take us to the very top of the game again

Amauri is an unnecessary signing. We have Del Piero, Trezeguet, Iaquinta, Palladino and Giovinco. Why is Amauri needed, even if as I expect Palladino leaves?
Wayne Bridge is a decent player, but we could probably do better. Left back is a problem area though as I have lingering doubts over Molinaro, who I would keep as back-up.
I'd rather not see Mellberg at right back as well. He'll be back-up at centre back, but I'd obviously select him ahead of Zebina at right back if necessary. I'd select Secco at right back instead of Zebina though.
A long-term replacement for Nedved is a must as well. I've been saying it for years, but this will be his last season so now is the right time. I think that man could be Giovinco, who would be perfect because he'd cost nothing.
Could be an exciting summer, or a very frustrating one...

I really can't understand why there's no attempt to sign Barzagli if Fiorentina are moving for him. Why all the talk about building a great Italian Juventus side if we're not prepared to go for one of the best, youngish Italian defenders? At £7m he's not gonna break the bank.
You know, Moggi wasn't all bad - corrupt yeah, but he could identify decent players to buy!

Do the Juventus administration have any idea what the hell they are doing?
Xabi Alonso?
So basically Ranieri wants a midfield of Sissoko, Alonso, Zanetti and, oh wait, we'd best buy another defensive midfielder.
We've bought Olof to go with Stendardo, Wayne Bridge is about as useful as Zebina..........I know let's offer Palermo Alex to get Amauri signed.
I'm not suggesting a summer of Buffon, Thuram and Nedved proportions, but let's get at least one top star in for a few bob. Oh, and Lippi back........

Reuters today still connect Amauri with a move to Milan. Potentially great news.
Here's the report on Quagliarella as mentioned above:-
Fabio Quagliarella cambia tutto.

Im not saying he should publicly criticise players but he doesnt have to go out of his way to praise players, some of whom havent been all that great this season. Molinaro hasnt been great nor Nocerino although I still hope he can turn into a better player.

Watched the Azzurrini on Friday.
We should keep Lazafame as the 5th choice forward instead of sending him to Palermo for Amauri, instead spend the money on defenders and midfielders, Lazafame is definitely good enough for 5th choice at least. Why are Italian clubs afraid to play young players when they obviously have more talent than a 28 year old. Seba and Lazafame have more talent than Amauri.
Nocerino was shit, even though he played for Juve all season he still plays shit when he steps down to the U21 level. The quicker we get rid of Nocerino the better, he'll never be Juve standard, i can't see any potential in him at all.
Seba did okay, though was only on the pitch for 15 minutes, would have seen more of him on the ball if it wasn't for the idiot that got sent off for pettiness.

Well he has to start as 5th choice, whether he goes up on that position depends on him.
Of course if his ambition is to play at teams like Palermo and West Ham instead of fighting to get to the top of the game well then he is not for Juve anyway.

Dylan too true. If I were in charge I would have done a similar thing to last year (but not stupid like Secco):
Bring in youngsters i.e. Mole, Noce, Palla etc and play them. Where there are gaps bring in quality for where its needed in January not half baked transfers.
I agree with obtaining freebies.
This year: Acknowledge that Mole and Palla= squad players and Nocerino isnt needed bcos of momo and Marchisio.
Buy in TOP CB, TOP LB and TOP CM.
Bring in Giiovinco, Lanza, Marchisio on top of the team we have and we have youth, experience and champions heavily lead by Italians.
Cant go wrong.
So even with that plan we could have had a team like this:
GK - Buffon
LB - Vargas/Dossena/Molinaro
CB - Chiellini/Leggro/Zapata/Mellberg/Andrade
RB - Zebina/Grygera/Bracco
DM - Momo/Marchisio
CM - Alonso/Zanetti
RM - Camo/Palla
LM - Pavel/Giovinco
ST - Del Boy/Trez/Giovinco/Palla/Lanzafame
Youngsters can be rotated to LM or ST when needed and ooh look theres no Amauri!

|
Drughi

No way that Secco is smart enough to take Cavenaghi...
About De Ceglie, we sold him for three, and now will play seven to have him back...
About Mellberg, I dont have clue, Nico L isnt worse, Criscito is better and younger ( we also sold him for three now will have to splash few millions more )...
About Paro, bro, he isnt our player anymore...
Buffon
Zapata, Chiellini, Criscito
De Ceglie, Sissoko, Marchisio, Camo
Del Piero ( Seba ), VdV ( Palladino)
Trezeguet (Lanzafame)
It is easy...
Buffon
Mellberg, Chiellini, Andrade, De Ceglie
Camoranesi, Sissoko, Xabi, Nedved ( Seba )
Trezeguet, Amauri
is worse team for more money...
Secco is Moratti puppet...

You know- when you have strikers who between them scored 42 goals in Serie A and two wonder kids who can make the difference if given the chance, and this is not to count Iaquinta who despite not being influencial and not having played much still managed 8 or 9 goals WHY THE FU%K DO UYOU GO OUT AND SPLASH MONEY ON A F$%KING STRIKER!!! WHAT ARE THE EXPECTATIONS OF HIM...SCORE 50 GOALS!!!
And what on bloody earth happened to Huntelaar.....and as you said Gilardinio for a basement discount price...but no, we let Fiorntina take Mutu and Gilardino who mark my word will bite us in the ass next year

saw some Drughi on tv during the Toulon final today, towards the end of the match and waving a huge Italian flag... Very nice!
It was a shame that SuperSeba was subbed off, but I'm glad he won the best player of the tourney award.
Anyone have links to Giovinco chants, or is it too soon to sing songs for him?

Duncan!

Watched Toulon last two games-- Giovinco is the sh!t! What a great talent. Juve would be stupid to give him up or not play him.
I thought Nocerino was pretty good as well. You guys are too hard on him

Duncan, Nocerino was really good start of the season showing grit but able to go forward. He just lost that for a crucial part of the season. Juventus wont wait around for players to develop that consistency unfortunately. Leggro is the exception to that though.

No Gurjio, cant agree...
When he was played at his natural position he was very good. And after it, Ranieri started to be smart and moved him to right side of midfield trying to make Brasilian from him...
As I said, Ranieri destroyed Palladino, Criscito and Nocerino...I am afraid Seba, Marchisio and De Ceglie will face same sort of problems...
Seitaridis is new name...he can be toilet cleaner at Olimpico.

Bad news. The boy Lanzafame has spoken of his burning desire to play for the Sicilians. Amauri now a shoe-in.
Meanwhile we are linked with Greek defender Torosidis.
Torosidis is indeed a fine talent and this comes from someone who hates Olympiakos (his team), he is one of the most promising Greek players.
He can play both full back positions and as a DM,(both hardcore defensive one and CM like Marchisio) he is solid defensively and he can add something up front, he has very good stamina and take a good use of his speed (unlike ineffective Molinaro)
I'm not sure if he is 100%Juve material though, Toro is a very good athlete, but in Serie A, thats normal.
He is skilled for a Greek player, but same goes for all Serie A players(besides Molinaro)
Normally i wouldnt recommend him, but, right now we have much worse players like him and Toro is very young, he can develop into a great player if he gets a proper training experience in Italy, he is certainly much more talented than Molinaro and he already is better than Birindelli, Toro is a workhorse and i like this kind of players, i m not sure if he will adapt with life in Italy, if he does he can definitely adapt to the Italian play, he has speed, stamina, good marking, swift pass and he is calm in extreme conditions, these caracteristics are the standard requirements for Serie A.
Do we need him? We have De Ceglie coming back, we have 2 RBs, plenty of DMs,
i dont know, but i can tell for sure that he is an upgrade to Molinaro.

Luft did you see Lanzafame' s face during the interview, he looked like someone's close had just died. He is a Torinese born bred from the same family stock. No offence but Sicily?
The good news is that Juventus have extended Lanzafame's contract until 2013.
I am with Drughi on the subject of Ranieri and the players mentioned, he is a very poor coach in that department.
