Blanc confirms this afternoon that Giovinco, Marchisio and De Ceglie are returning to Juventus to be integrated in the squad as part of the club future.
John Elkan in today said that the Delle Alpi restructuring and the acquisition of new sponsorships is another step in returning Juventus to the proper standing in world football and that Ranieri will stay without doubt.

I've watched that several times since Saturday.  Always worth seeing again though.

On Amauri:

"The report suggests they have offered £10m cash plus a selection of promising young players for a total value of £17m.

Among those on Palermo’s wish list are Under-21 internationals Criscito – currently at Genoa on loan – Empoli star Giovinco and Siena’s De Ceglie.

Other potential figures in the deal are Raffaele Palladino, Claudio Marchisio, Sergio Almiron, Marco Marchionni, Antonio Nocerino and Lanzafame."

Doesn't news like this just break a Juventino heart? Why not just give them all away? Then we don't have to spend a single penny! Then in five years time when they are well established we can chase poor imitation foreigners who are on a Bosman.
Dylan

Nino they are not letting any of the youngsters mentioned go, never mind Tuttosport, Corriere Sera or Sport, want to know about Juventus pland look on Lastampa.it. The oly guy originally offered was Almiron

Juve-Parma cancelled.  A parma fan has did in an incident at a service station.. same day that Gabriele Sandri died...
Giancarlo

Tragedy aside.  I think the Udinese - Fioreninta game is a beter one to show anyway.

Maybe I'm missing something but is it really that much of a coincidence considering most games are played on Sunday?

Yep, Gabriele Sandri was shot dead on the 11th Novemeber.

return leg I think.

Sandri died on the way to the Meazza for Inter - Lazio

I think we see worst Serie A in last 20 years...I cant count last year as it as fake competition...

Look at Milan, look who is top of the table, look worst Juventus in last two decades would run for title if refs were honest.

I saw Mensa FC vs Lazio, man they are great

Bro, I think Galia and Zavarov could play this season

Wasted trip!

Had my wallet stolen on Saturday in Turin, money and cards gone. Sitting in the stadium with 25 minutes to go they announce game is off. The right thing to do to avoid riots, but dissappointing for me personally.

The Drughi shop was closed on the Monday, opens at 4pm, but had to catch a coach to Malpensa, i guess the weekend was going that way.

Ah well, the flights for Juve-Catania seem cheap enough from Dublin!

L'Equipe  (1 April 2008)

Well with Flamini, Tiago, Zanetti and Sissoko in the squad it looks like our defensive midfield has been finalized.

Just two world class attackers needed + Giovinco back and Scudetto 30 seems like a distinct possibility next season.

Sorry to hear miles, I could imagine how much that would have sucked, could always be worse though.

I don't usually laugh at others misfortune but your story reminds me of a banner seen at the San Paolo of all places, went on the lines of:
"Attenti ai portafogli c’e La Juve: Ladri"

I suppose the Naps were onto something

Here is mine help for Saturday Serie B

Bologna, Triestina 1x, Ascoli x2 ( even there are some rumours Treviso will win...maybe they appointed Moggi)

Anyway, apparently we are closing on De Ceglie and Flamini...it could be good job but I think Secco will prefer Burdisso    and Amauri...

What do we want with Amauri?

Myles

Nocerino is shit and everytime he plays the team are shit. Ranieri picks him because Ranieri is shit.

against Roma we played well, then Ranieri took Camoranesi (who was playing well) off in the 2nd half for Nocerino and then we were shit.

Raneiri never won a league, he is not a winner. We are only in 3rd place because of the players, it has nothing to do with Raneiri. Paro, Marchisio and almiron are all better than Nocerino, where are those players now!
Duncan!

Exciting game so say the least.

Being a little hard, aren;t you Myles?

Juve are in 3rd place one season removed from Serie B

3 fantastic goals by Palermo.

And Amauri is pretty damn good
Dylan

Oh dear, it wasn't totally unexpected. Amauri scored two great goals, is that enough to give in to Zampacretini's demands?
There is no one else chasing him.

Myles you are not wrong mate. However I don't know what the answer would be. Guidolin? Ancelotti? Gasperini?
gurjio

Oh well, didnt see the match but from what people say we should have won it.

thats the prime reason why I dislike Ranieri.  He does a job, but he doesnt give us a consistent good run.  We are far too patchy in terms of our results and that simply cannot happen to either win a title or definitely in the Champions league.

On the plus side, Momo apparently did well, alongside Capitano and Camo so hey ho.
Drughi

First of all, Duncan you support lesser club in any terms so you cant understand that 3rd or second or 58th place isnt good for Juventus.

Shit about being in B and now third place is good result is just empty talk of inconsistent board. With decent coach and some better moves last summer we would win it easily.

No one in Italy have players like Buffon, Ale, David, Camoranesi, in shitty league our old guard is enough to make difference. Problem is that we threw money and rejected our young players that are best in Italy.

You must understand that Serie A is mediocre now, Capello Juventus would have 20 points advantage now, it is big difference as farsopoli was made to cut advantage Juve had over some losers name Mensa FC.

Myles had clue about Ranieri, Juve is too big club for him...we destroyed Palermo yesterday in second half but big teams play at similar levels whole game...right now we look like Mensa FC in terms of chaotic play, using just individual quality...we are erratic and it is not real Juventus.

About Amauri, I dont know, he is certainly better player than Iaquinta but still there is no better scorer in Europe than Trezeguet...and Seba will replace capitano in future. So giving 20 millions for guy that will be well paid reserve, I dont think it is smart.

About Nocerino, he needs experience and to play at his position and not to be used every week at different place just to fill hole. But now we get Sissoko and I must agree that he played better than anyone expected. I suppose he will be regular so with Marchisio coming to team and great Zanetti...I think Nocerino future is in doubt...still I hope he will stay.

About coach, well I dont know...we need better coach and I think Lippi is out reach as he cant cooperate with current morons in the board. I remember saying in the summer at our Drughi forum that if we cant hire someone credible, let's try with Mazzari...people laughed. Now I think Ranieri is worst choice...

But looking at Secco ability, I am happy we didnt take Novellino or Mancini or some other idiot.

Honestly I have no idea, as some serious man cant take responsibilty with such amateurs on the board.

Maybe someone will disagree but we lost year...and about playing in Champions League, well 3rd place is bad result. I mean people, do you understand that Milan dont compete this season
nino

Of course I don't agree we should buy Amauri, and Trezegol is certainly best in his position in the world. But you can't laugh at a player with the Brazilian's quality.
Myles

Duncan! wrote:

...

That's down to the players only. I expect our coach to make changes that improve the team, Ranieri doesn't do that. It all might look well and good finishing 3rd after only being promoted but with someone else we would've finished higher that's why Ranieri should be replaced this summer if we really want to challenge for the Scudetto. Lippi, Mourinho or Ancelotti have won before and therefore have the requirement, Ranieri does not have the qualifications to be Juve coach. If we keep Ranieri and Inter get Mourinho we can forget about the scudetto for the next 5 years!

We were winning against Fiorentina and Camoranesi was playing well, what does Ranieri do... replace him with Nocerino. Next against Genoa we were already 2-0 up when Nocerino came on, next against Napoli we scored after Nocerino was replaced, next 0-0 against Empoli and Nocerino played the whole game, next against Inter Nocerino came on when the game was over so he had no impact in our 2-1 win. Parma game postponed. Next Palermo 2-0 up and Nocerino is replaced and we play much better...why? Because Nocerino cannot tackle, he only passes backwards and does not add anything to the team, he is not Juventus standard and never will be. If Ranieri cannot see this he is a shit coach. Juve supporters pay Ranieri's wages so he is owed nothing. Thank you and goodbye!

It is better to play Tiago if Zanetti is injured, even though Tiago is not a defensive midfielder he still makes more tackles than Nocerino who is supposed to be a defensive midfielder! and Tiago can pass better, watch Nocerino in the next game and you will see.

If we want to be always 3rd place team, then yes, keep Ranieri. What is his record!!! He won Serie C and Serie B.
Juve should get a coach that has already won, we are not a club for coaches to make mistakes with, to learn with or be mediocre with, we are Juve and we should get the top coaches.

Ranieri is nice guy, f**k that! When did Mourinho say nice things about other teams and coaches?, does Lippi say "Yes" all the time, Ancolotti has won since being unsuccessful with Juve.

The club obviously will not replace Ranieri because they will have to pay him 2 million wages and maybe pay 3.5 million per season for a top coach. Juve have enough money to spend 20 million on Diego or whoever, but they say..."oh we cannot afford 14 million blah blah"....why? We all know why, less money for the dividend. f**king Bullshit!!!
We can buy risk-players for 8 million each instead of proven players for 14 million, no brains!

Exactly, we haven't won 3 games in a row this year, even though our players are better than that!
Myles

Ranieri - “We took a while to get into gear, but Amauri’s goals did not knock us down. After the break I think nobody could complain if we were 4-2 up."

Ranieri - “... We never give up and towards the end pinned the Rosanero back into their own half.”

Yeah, you are the person who started Nocerino you f**king idiot!

About Amauri being a Juve transfer target... "He could have found other ways to convince us!” joked Ranieri.

Yeah, really funny!!!!!!!!

Palermo coach Colantuono - “In the second half we struggled under the sheer physicality of Juve’s game and risked compromising the whole result. Having said that, we dominated the first half."

I wonder why that happened!!!
Liam

I didn't really see the match as our internet's slow on Sunday evenings, but I tried to follow it as best I could and judging on what I saw of the second half we probably should have won.

I'd agree with Myles that Tiago offers more then Nocerino.  I don't think Ranieri sees it that way though...

Milan next week is huge.  Win and our season is more or less over as a Champions League spot is almost certainly secured.  Lose though and those old doubts will creep back in.

nino, there are other positions that need strengthening ahead of the attack.
flotron

Even though Juve lost on the weekend we are playing much better in the last couple of games.

But i see we struggle to create clearcut chances and finish the ones we do get

Against smaller teams we overrun them all over the pitch but they defend deep and it is very difficult for this team to score.

Del Piero is having a magnificent season and is going to save Ranieri unfortunately.

On a side note Sissoko is much better than i expected after i saw him for the first time, he was running round like a madman. If he learns to pass better he could be a very important player.
Juvefans

we should not have lost to palermo, we destroyed them in the 2nd half. Ranieri has got the club as far as he is able to, he's just not consistent enough. How we can outclass Inter at the San Siro one week and then crumble in Sciliy the next I do not know.

Sissoko was playing like man on a mission. Del piero was outstanding again, best No. 10 in Italy easily.

Myles I think you're being a bit harsh on Nocerino, he's a raw talent and can only improve and many times this season he's been only one of few players who seemed to actually give a damn. I don't think he deserves to start every game though.
gurjio

i think Molinaro is a much bigger liability than Nocerino personally.

Has no clue.
Luftwaffles

Nocerino has been a disappointment, no question.

It was a costly (in terms of points lost) experiment that needs to be ended. We need 5 players in the starting X1 next season that are currently not at the club yet.

They are Mellberg, De Ceglie, Nasri, Giovinco and a  central midfield player - 10 -15 yards ahead of Sissoko - who is world class.

At this stage of the season a point against Milan will seem like a mini-triumph.
Dylan

Giovinco will be playing for Juventus next season according to his agent.

We'll beat AC Milan.
Dylan

The Russians, in the shape Severstal, are interested in investing  money in Juventus.

Fratello we may become Lokomotiv Juventus

I too, as I highlighted earlier in the season have huge doubts over Molinaro.  I don't think he's up to it myself, as much as I want to like him.
Drughi

Great news about Russians   ...they could put Zavarov as coach

Mezz my friend, I already explained it, terms of success are not same for Juve and other clubs.

It is not about first place this season it is about rejecting our players and throwing 50 millions for nothing.

You got Kuzmanovic for one euro and we spent fortune on Tiago...

Still you have Prandelli and Corvino and we are great with Ranieri and Secco

Bro, we will beat Milan and then lose to Pergocrema or Novara...

We won so many titles beating lesser clubs...now decided to spit on history and become sympatic

Man, man, man...I think I would welcome Russians
Drughi

And yes, I LIKE MOLINARO...even he is Napoletano

He will be better next season

Today CDS announced top secret mercato plan for Juve

We got Ekdal and Mellberg, chasing Lampard or Flamini, Pasqual or Grosso, Zapata or Pique...and yes Amauri is already our player

Players that will leave : both reserve keepers, Marchionni, Birindelli, Stendardo and Tiago.

Players that are 50 - 50 to leave : Andrade, Molinaro, Zebina, Nedved, Nocerino, Palladino

Marchisio, De Ceglie and Seba will return

So if it is true, our team could be :

Buffon
Mellberg, Chiellini, Zapata, Pasqual ( De Ceglie )
Sissoko, Flamini (Marchisio), Camoranesi, Seba
Amauri (capitano), Trezeguet

Maybe Lippi could be champions with them, Ranieri no...

We will be second or third next season...another year in shadow.
flotron

from C4
"A month ago, there were claims that Secco had proposed a part exchange of £12m plus Sebastian Giovinco, Paolo De Ceglie and Claudio Marchisio.

But with Giovinco excelling at Empoli and De Ceglie impressing in a Siena shirt, such an offer seems reckless and highly unlikely.

It has been suggested that Coach Claudio Ranieri vetoed the original proposal, but that he is happier with the new terms."

Ranieri managed to say no??

I can't believe what i am reading
Dylan

Have I just read that, should we fail to get Amauri, then Crespo is the next option? Are they winding me up?

I think Ranieri has lost the respect or is losing the respect of the players judging by Camoranesi outburst on La Stampa of today.
gurjio

What did Camo say Dylan?
Dylan

He said that Tiago should be playing regularly because Camoranesi believes he makes rhe difference. He said Tiago can direct the game from the entre of midfield with Camo on the right. So, according to the parer, think other players. And so think some in the management at the club.

With this victory to add to victories over Roma and Inter, the team has proven that it had a chance of winning the Scudetto this season.

Salihamidzic didn't do a lot, but if he keeps on scoring goals I couldn't really care.  The team defended extremely well in the second half.  I don't remember Milan having any chances.

Agreed Juvefans, Tiago didn't do anything.  I think he's one of those players who has the potential to offer something but is destined to fail because they rarely show it.  Best to get rid in the summer.

Bonera's tackle was shocking.  Glad Sissoko is ok.

FORZA JUVENTUS
Juvefans

Milan just disappeared in the 2nd half, we had them under pressure from the word go. Sissoko was very good, he gets better with every game. I hope Legro's injury isn't too bad because I don't trust Stendardo!!

what frustrates me is that we can beat the likes of Inter and AC, yet we lose to some dire teams and if it hadn't been for those crap results we would probably be challenging inter for the title
Duncan!

the free kick given against Maldini was very harsh.[one that led to the 3rd goal]\\

That being said, Milan didn;t do too much after losing the 11th man.

Tiago was awful for Juve.

Great game to watch
Drughi

And there is no Pippo offside for second goal, Duncan?

Anyway, we won by our bigger heart and of course capitano imagination. Too pity f**king ref disallowed Ale goal at the end.

Tiago is wasted money, as he lost self confidence totally. We need some serious player as midfield general, or will be 6th next season.

We really cant expect capitano to be our best player next season.

GRAZIE CAPITANO

Spippazza off side? Never!

Right our management are meetimg Zampacretini for Amauri today. Giovinco, Marchisio and De Ceglie are coming back to stay.

Secco Stands By Signings

"The signings have been impeccable"

-----------------------------------------------------------------
Drughi

Last night vs Milan, we had idea to pick up some money from every man and hire 'specialist' to remove moron Secco.

In opposite when Del Piero decides to retire we will be back in Serie B.

Bro, agree about Amauri...great replacement for some steward at Comunale.

Amauri instead of Trezeguet?

Amauri instead of Ale?

Next year Seba and Trezeguet are our first choice and capitano as professor when we need him vs big clubs...

If we want to throw 20 millions for another player that can act as David reserve...well we will be like Lazio this season.

Zapata and VdV are only big players we need.

And of course Marchisio, Lanzafame, De Ceglie and Seba.

Also if Ruinieri continues to ruin Palladino, I think it will be another proof Secco and his personal slave work against Juventus.

See you

Fratello agree on Palladino, Tinkerman is a bit thick to say the list. Secco is just a muppet, today he says, again, that the new players he brought to he club are good buys, champions.

12m. and one of these Marchionni, De Ceglie, Marchisio, Giovinco or Nocerino. Palladino said no to Sicily thank f...k. According to Gazzetta dello Sport. Fratello I read that Giovinco's younger brother who plays for the Berretti's side is chased by Chelsea.

Amauri 9m. cash I would accept. Anymore f..k off.

We don't even need Amauri.  I'll personally chop Secco's head off if he lets Giovinco go.

Understatement of the year I must admit!

Easy win, Parma hardly threatened.  Now 3rd place is more or less secure I feel its time to give Palladino a run of games up front.  He scored a great goal tonight and showed some nice touches, but we'll only see the best of him in attack.
gurjio

palla has potential definitely, but he reminds me of christiano ronaldo when he was 1st at utd.  he felt compelled to beat a blade of grass for no reason.

hes a player thats gonna develop for sure but to be honest, Seba looks even better and is younger.

Nice to see Marchionni back for the last 10 and Tiago wasnt bad...wahey!
Luftwaffles

Palla looked good tonight and I now believe that a draw against Atalanta on Sunday will secure a CL place.

What a horrible man is Couto!
Myles

Yeah was offside because i think the last man becomes the goalkeeper, but Iaquinta had a goal at Parma incorrectly disallowed so eye for an eye.

If Secco lets Giovinco go away i'll stamp on his head after Liam chops it off.

Couto is a scumbag, punch on Chiellini was intentional, i didn't see what he got sent off for though in the end.

Well in today's interview Secco admits that parting company with Mutu was a mistake and entirely his fault.

Amauri will come but not at Zampacretini' demands.
gurjio

Dylan how serious is this potential "poach" of Giovincos brother from Chelsea?

Its getting right on my nerves.
Luftwaffles

Guiseppe Giovinco, if poached by Chelsea, would be a potentially grievous loss.

According to his brother, he has the skill to go all the way to the top in world football.

Re Seba, it is encouraging to hear Secco state that he will be playing for the bianconeri next season

Meantime, Juve have offered cash and Iaquinta for Mancini.  Having rejected renewed contract terms, and Spaletti looks happy enough to be saying goodbye to him, it seems we will be waving Vincenzo off as well as Tiago Mendes and Sergio Almiron in 4 weeks time.
Myles

Criscito - “But if both sides made the same offer for me, I would go for Genoa.”

So Criscito only wants to play for Juve if the money is better than another offer from a club that won't win anything, not even for the same money!!!
He can f**k off, there is no room at Juve for players who have no ambition, nor lazy players who don't want to try harder to be starting at a top club. He is obviously not a champion with that attitude. I hope he enjoys his mediocre playing career.
gurjio

Criscito is good but I think hes a little lightweight to become a truly world class central defender and he hasnt made up for it with positional sense either.

I would welcome him back but if he goes for decent money then meh.
Drughi

Well I read moron interview and he said nothing.

Only if we bring Van der Vaart, Zapata and let's say Aguero with Seba, De Ceglie, Lanzafame back we will be serious team.

And ouf course to send Secco and Ranieri to Inter.

Blanc said some other things in today interview...he thinks we have to give chance to our players from youth school...

About Mancini...he is past...even I dont like Iaquinta, I wouldnt go for Mancini, not even as Nedved heir...

About Seba brother, I dont know, I heard that Seba was much better at his age...anyway we have to keep our kids.
Liam

Criscito wasn't ready unfortunately, and I'm not sure he'll ever return as he seems happy at Genoa and I don't see any playing time for him at Juve.

Iaquinta's injury is Palladino's opportunity to prove his worth.  Unfortunately I see his future away from Juventus as well though.

Mancini?  I'd rather have Giovinco who is ready to play in the first team.  Getting rid of Iaquinta would make sense if Amauri was to arrive.
Duncan!

I interepreted the Criscito comment to be about the price for him in the co-deal thingy.  Could be wrong.
Dylan

Gurjio serious enough by Chelsea for Giovinco junior.

Myles, Criscito, truth be known, did not want to return to Juventus from Genoa the first time. He seemed to have an attitude problem at Juventus before going back on loan to Genoa. The papers described him as looking unhappy all the time, as he just did not want to be there, as if Juventus aren't good enough. He won't be a great loss if with Criscito we can get a decent playmaker or a first class central defender.
There again Chiellini did not want to retun from Fiorentina...

Fratello I think testa di legno Secco has got us VdV already. We need Lugano and Aguero.

No Mancini ed no Amauri no Brazilians please. The players who really make 'the difference' are good at age 19-20. Amauri is 28 already. Flamini is another Ibrahimovic a firstr class mercenary.

Players who really make the difference are good at age 19-20? There are many exceptions to that rule. Toni? Hubner? Torricelli? For a start.

Toni, Hubener are not in 'that league'. Torricelli arrived young at Juventus cost nothing but yet again not in 'that league'. 25m. for Amauri is ridiculous.

Mancini for Iaquinta wouldn't be bad as Iaquinta just wastes a space on the bench.
