Italian football WAY better since Calcipoli?Recently I've seen the Rome derby (3-2), Inter/Roma (1-1), Napoli/Juve (0-1), Inter/Juve (1-2), Roma/Milan (2-1) on the telly and been VERY impressed with the entertainment value.
TBH since Calcipoli I've followed the EPL and the NBA but I may return to watching Iti football more frequently.
Am I right in thinking that Iti football is significantly better/more entertaining since Calcipoli or is it just me?

It's just you.
And we don't care for the term "Iti".
But welcome to the forum.

While I have a strong belief Luciano Moggi was not the footballing mafia god many think he was, I have to say I feel more attached to the Juventus of the last 2 seasons than the one of Moggi/Giraudo etc. I'd put that down to having to rely more on homegrown players, and the change of scenery Serie B brought. It's a long long time since I felt as satisfied after a victory as I did on Saturday.

Re- Iti, No offense was intended.
Well if it is me, I'm back on the bandwagon. It's been like a breath of fresh air.
Those night games on Saturdays and Sundays are the dogs bollocks. Juve/Inter was a real barnburner. Maybe the best game I've seen this season. What makes it even better is that I live in Cali so the games come on at lunchtime
Roll on Lazio/Inter................................

To be honest the Eastern Conference this year is pretty bad per se. aside from the Pistons and Celtics.
More of a fan of the league than any individual team, but if forced to pick I'd say the Lakers cause I've seen them play 4 times in the last couple of years.
Can't wait for the playoffs to be begin......................

This is a bit off topic, but I'm a Cleveland Cavaliers fan, spent a year in the area 2005/6
Went to 16 games in total that season. The atmosphere is quite different to any Italian football games, but fun never the less.
Plus Lebron James is King.

LeBron is the MAN! What an awesome player. He and Kobe are the best by far.
Ya, the Eastern Conference is horrible. Even the Pacers are in with a chance for the 8th spot.

My favourite player is Ginobili, used to play in the Italian league too, at Bologna I think?

juve2-fiorentna 3.. this second rome derby was superb also and the milan derby was good fun...

That was my first game I have seen Juve play at the comunale. I thought the atmosphere was great for such a small stadium.
some how i ended up sitting next to a bloody Viola supporter though.
As soon as Fiorentina scored that last goal he just ran out of the stadium as fast as he could.

Yeah, Ginobili played for Kinder Bologna-- it was a really good team. Euro Champs I think
Ginobili, Marco Jaric, Rashard Griffith were 3 of the starters
