BREAKING NEWS - MANCINI QUITS INTERMANCINI QUITS INTER

If tonight's defeat has nothing to do with it, why announce it now. Way to act like a child who's taking his ball and going home.
Pathetic.

Timing does seem a little odd, and suggests a somewhat impulsive decision.
Still, a case of jumping before he got the shove in the summer one thinks.

Sad. I love Mancini.
Mourinho seems so obvious...if he doesnt go to barca :s
Morratti did talk about his respect for Mourinho a few days ago...
Heres to hoping..

Bizzare stuff, couldn't come at a worse time - 6 points between the 1st and 2nd places, Cl exit and mancio walks ?!!? Something stinks here, has mad max already sorted a replacement then ? Is this the reason for Mancio's statements ?

This is pointlessly sensationalist.

Here's to hoping this causes a massive turn around in the title race...

Why leave now?
Inter haven't had any competition in the last two seasons due to the repercussions of calciopoli so is Mancini jumping ship before Juve and Milan can compete again and therefore be actually tested as a coach next season?
Mancini hasn't proved himself yet, he's obviously just running now because he's a wimp or can't handle the pressure at the top.

I remember Mancini playing for Sampdoria many years ago and being very upset when he was (deservedly) booked. He went up to the ref, gave him a volley of abuse and was already trotting off the field before the ref had a chance to get his red card out and wave it angrily at him. What an entertainer! A lunatic, but a very entertaining lunatic. I don't think there's enough money in Italian football these days for Mourinho. There's no chance of him "killing" Chelsea with the shower of sh*te that is Inter. Or Milan for that matter. Both teams are now lagging too far the best teams (and richest clubs) in Europe. He'll only go to Inter if there's no offer from either Real, Barca or Liverpool and chances are that one of those three will offer him a job.

Irish radio (newstalk.ie) have reported that Figo had told Mancini that he was 100% fit, refused to go on, then Mancini saw Figo and Moratti hugging after the game, then Mancini got furious (obviously felt undermined).
It's probably bullshit though.

Sir George

It certainly sounds like it Myles.

Maybe Mancini saw them hugging and wanted a threesome and Moratti told him to wait for sloppy seconds! Certainly seems more plausable.

Mancini
What an idiot.

Will he go off crying again when they loose their next match?
"Booohooohooo, the world is against me"
"Where-are-my-toys-?"
Complete sap!

This thread shows that football is used as an outlet for the masturbation of people's egos and the release of negativity.

Grow up bobo, Mancini brought it on himself. We're just having a laugh.

Cool. Just to let you know..I dont think he cares.
p.s. he's a born winner who's accomplished so much. Maybe you could model some of the positive things he does and achieve an awesome level of success and fulfilment yourself..

Myles

Of course he doesn't care, it's not like he reads the forum.
A winner!!!
Mancini hasn't accomplished anything.
When Milan and Juve recover from the repercussion of calciopoli and assemble squads capable of challenging Inter, then Mancini can merit winner status if Inter win.
As regards your constant comments of innuendo against me, it's your answer for everything said against Inter.

looking from the outside in (having no loyalties to any serie a club), inter havent been themselves recently which certainly suggests that something has happened and morale has been sapped.
the first leg defeat was unlucky, lets face it. they comfortably held of liverpool for pretty much the whole game, barring one deflection and a good strike by gerrard.
the 2nd leg was always going to be difficult, regardless of how shite liverpool are in the prem, they get the job done in europe and they got what they came for, an away goal and in effect, the win.
Totti's comments are interesting, they certainly put a bit of pressure for whoever refs inter's game this weekend, the ref will be very aware the whole nation will be watching.
mancini just needs to instill that bit of belief back into the side, a bit of composure and calm. if he does, they'll win the title very easily. if they continue as they are, then Roma have a very very good chance

p.s. Mancini was at the top as a player and a coach and deservedly so. He is also shockingly honest which is refreshing in the Italian game. He has attributes which I respect.
Honesty and being human.
The same can be said for Ranieri btw.
By the same token I think Morratti is shady..intuition that is all.

Look Ronnie II, Mancini was never played for top club and never was important for Azzurri. I understand you are not into calcio but dont make people laugh at you...you will grew up and it will hurt you and maybe influence some aspects of your 'real life'.
As a coach, he didnt win anything till this year, maybe some coppa. One false scudetto...maybe he will take it this season with refs robbing points from Juve, Roma and Milan.
Ask real Inter fans on the stands if they are satisfied with season
And yes about honesty, ask Lazio fans about it...
Dont wont to argue...I am sad because you destroyed life supporting Inter...
See you

Someone voted Serie A and Italian footballer of the year having won scudetti and many Italian caps as well as having managed two of Italy's top teams is a failure?
If that is really so...in the grand scheme of things...you would have to make your own life out to be a failure.
Do so by all means..

yes, but that was through choice, manicini would have walked into any side during his prime. we get people moaning about players showing no loyalty and when the get looked down on for not playing for a 'big' club.
listen, i'll be the first to say i dislike inter with a passion, and yes, last years title (and probably this one) will always be cast aside by people saying they never had proper competition, but they can only beat whats in front of them and if it was any of your teams in the same position you'd be defending it.

I agree here with Drughi
Mancini was, is, and always will be a prick! He is not very liked in the calcio community, not liked in his own locker room, and was always jealous of Baggio.
What a whining baby!

Football as a lame excuse for OTT negativity anyone?
What has he actually done apart from be one of the best players of the 90s and be a coach he has done well at 3 clubs...
As a player he was better than Beppe Signori...someone who also never played fror a massive club despite being extremely gifted.
Mancini has always struck me as someone who speaks his mind and is never OTT controversial. Inter have come under a lot of criticism this season particularly in lieu of refereeing decisions. Mancini has responded with remarkable grace (and a healthy dose of sarcasm) when defending his team (by actually pointing out when they have been hard done by and where other teams have benefited...which is more than managers of top teams in the EPL manage to do...isnt that right Sir Alex!?). I can see wy he refuses to talk to the media at times. I would too, What the f**k is Mancini actually supposed to do about the referees? Inter may have benefited at times and theyve also had many quite "loose" red cards. I dont know how many games Inter have played more than 30 minutes with 10 men but they must be aiming for some sort of record for a team without Montero on the lineup.
If anyone can tell me specifically how Mancini behaves in a way which slurs who he is as a person rather than just something he did (difference between Behaviour and Identity) then I will by all means reconsider.
Otherwise enjoy your soul destroying tabloid bs..

I will never get sick of hearing Juve fans complain about ref's.
True we've had a terrible season this year compared to form shown last year. Yet still good enough to be top of Serie A
With two decent signings in the summer and a better run with injuries, I'd be able to coach Inter to the Scudetto next year.

I have nothing against you either, we disagree on football issues, but it purely football on my part.
Anyway...
Mancini was a very good player, but as a coach he still has to prove himself before he can be a winner in my opinion because he hasn't had any competition in Serie A yet. I know calciopoli is through no fault of his own and he can only beat what's in front of him but he hasn't been tested yet, and i know that's partly because Juve's administration are doing nothing to make Juve competitive. But when Mancini was tested in europe he lost the plot though.
Moggi, Moratti, Berlusconi, the whole industry was and still is corrupt.
Regarding Ranieri, he might be a nice guy, but i'd rather have a winner who is a bastard. The current Juve administration may be honest in a legal way now, but they are there with an agenda that is corrupt in the eyes of Juventini, they only want to make the club sellable instead of winning medals, not a club by definition, more of a company, until that changes Mancini will have no competition from us so unless Milan get there act together and test Mancini next season, he'll win another scudetto without proving a whole lot. As regards Roma, they never beat the top four teams, always pretenders.
I know this is all negative, but Italian football has gone to shit, it's a complete farce, regardless of who wins the scudetto this year. I don't even follow any other league so i'm not biased in saying that against Serie A (B or C). It's hard to be positive in the current climate.
