What games are we all playing? In an attempt to open up the foro a bit.
I've just finished off Fallout 3. What a great game that was.
The race for deciding between Fifa 10 and PES 10 begins. I've only seen trailers for both but PES has shown more promise so far with some tactical improvements, while EA have gone with showing how much FIFA 10 looks very much like FIFA 09. _________________ nino

T'was Forza Motorsport 2 for me but that's run its course a bit. There's only so many times you can race the same 8 tracks and career mode takes way too long.
Recently got SBK09 which is alright, would only really recommend it if you're a bike fan. Other than that COD4 finds its way into my 360 every few days for some online fun.
Re: FIFA/PES, I've always been a Pro person but got FIFA last year 'cos it had the Championship. I did like it but there were a lot of things that annoyed me also (eg crossing, free kicks, lack of editing). Not sure I'll bother with either this year.

I've only recently got my PS3 online, and so have started playing COD4 again. Had some fun last night as a cocky American guy with a microphone started bemoaning the fact there was too many "noobs" such as myself in his game. Admittedly he was good and won every game, but the occasions on which I killed him, including 2 spectacularly skillful ones, were very satisfying.
I hope Konami have had a good look at Pro Evo 5 before developing the latest one. It's been downhill since then. Recent games have been dominated by increasingly crap defending and overpowered dribbling which just make the game boring. I couldn't put PES5 down because it had neither and was so much more realistic. I've not played PES2009 for ages though as I got bored. I'll keep loyal to it though as Fifa just doesn't attract me after I got fed up with them releasing the same game every year at the turn of the century.
I'm playing FM2009 a lot as well, which is a big improvement on last year's game I feel. _________________ Forza Juve!!!

I've mainly been playing Metal Gear Solid 4 recently, prior to that it was Tiger Woods 2009 and before that it was PES 2009.
I've only had my PS3 for a year now, but I spent the first six months playing the 'Become a Legend' mode in PES before then spending a similar amount of time on Tiger.
I haven't been playing nearly as much within the last month which is why I haven't completed MGS4 yet, but when I'm done with that I'll move on to Grand Theft Auto 4 which I've had for a year now and never opened.
I've been after a tennis game for a while, and watching Wimbledon has made it a priority now, but I'm not sure which one to go for.

i go through my games slowly so im nearly finishing Saints Row 2 on 360 (plus the extra levels on DLC).
Im just starting Red Faction:guerilla which is becoming seriously fun.
Im going through Prototype, UFC and Fight night 4 on PS3 as well and loving em all.
And FM2009 is consistently eating my life (im in the year 2021 at the mo).
Btw I seriously recommend Valkyria chronicles on PS3, its a jap tactical RPG but is criminally under the radar of many gamers.

After the last two PES installments I'm trying my hand at FIFA this year. I think FIfa 09 was superior to PES and despite being a longtime PES fan I think it's time to switch.
Other than that been playing Uncharted on my PS3 which is awesome and cheap, and a game called Demons SOuls that I imported from Hong Kong and is very very very hard.
Mezz, tennis wise you really got two options, Top SPin 3 and Virtua Tennis 2009. Topspin is definately the 'sim and Virtua the arcade one, demos available for both iirc on PSN.
@ Valkyria Chronicles, tried it but did not like it. I loved the art and the music but I don't like the battle system.

Cheers Giancarlo.
I always forget about the demos on PSN... I downloaded an NBA demo on PSN a few months back, didn't like it and then decided that downloading demos was shite and the PSN was useless.
That's how I roll, you see?

Not got a next-gen console as yet, i'm still playing PES on my PS2 !
I came a across this game a few months back:
http://www.taleworlds.com/
It's relatively cheap but very addictive and not a bad game at all.

Might go back to the PS2 just to play Shadow of the Colossus, after Ico was such a great game.
Mezz, for tennis I have Virtua Tennis 3 on the cheap and it's kept me going back to it. Not even a tennis fan in general but I've liked tennis games since I played one on the SNES.
I also tried the Valkyria Chronicles demo last night and turn based battle's not my thing.
After running out of games to play I've got hold off Rainbow Six Vegas 2 for under a tenner off the Asda website. That'll keep me going til I decide to buy Street Fighter 4 or Ghostbusters.
My PS nick is tino3000. I've got viola and gurjio so far, not that we've played anything yet. _________________ nino

I've had a tennis game on every console I've ever owned, harking back to Super Tennis on the SNES. Love'em, I do. Upon Giancarlo's suggestion, I've downloaded both Top Spin and Virtua demos tonight and I *think* I prefer Top Spin. I'll be honest though, neither of them had me tearing on to Amazon in order to buy them...

Put off playing FM2009 til I finished my degree, now well into it. I'm Fiorentina.
Second season, Champions League, am on verge of being knocked out despite getting 12 points from the four-team group!

Anyone else played the PES2010 demo?
It plays more like PES5 which is a relief as it's gradually deteriorated since then. Dribbling has been toned down a lot, meaning that solo efforts with Christian Poulsen are a thing of the past, and hopefully meaning multi-player games will be a lot more fun.
I lost 3-0 to Liverpool as Barcelona on the hardest difficulty in a 5 minute match which was a lot more challenging than the ridiculously easy PES2009. Looking good in terms of the match, and I like the sound of the revamped Master League as well. Hopefully this game can rekindle my love of a series which is waning. _________________ Forza Juve!!!

I hope I finally manage to win the CL with Galatasary by the time pro2010 is released.
I wish they can sort out the music, but surely that's asking for too much.

I think it's Pro2010 this year for me. Played the demo but couldn't grasp a whole lot of what's new from that. I just can't imagine Fifa changing much from 09. Plus I'll get to play some of you goofballs.
Clicked on the Trophy Manager link on FI and registered a team. Still awaiting approval, wonder if it'll be any good. _________________ nino
