There have been a couple of attempts to sell Euro 2012 Tickets on the Forum. Also, we have had some efforts at advertising accommodation for the tournament, usually for flats (or possibly the same flat...) in Poland.
Users are asked to note the following points about tickets:
1. Any adverts of Euro 2012 tickets for sale appear here without the permission of the Admins
2. Posts of this sort will be deleted as soon as the Admins spot them. This may mean that such offers survive on the site for some hours until removal.
3. We are adopting this approach since we have no idea whether offers of tickets are genuine, are examples of touting, or are 'offers' which, if pursused will leave forum users out of pocket and without tickets.
As far as accommodation goes. First, the posters have broken foro rules by not asking the mods for permission, and second we wouldn't accept such adverts anyway. However, if someone decides to take up the offer made in an advert before the admins have seen it and then binned it, they do so at their own risk.
To be honest, we don't think that any forum members are likely to be gullible enough to fall for random offers like this, but just in case anyone is that keen to see England go out in the group stage and pursues offers of tickets or accommodation, they need to be aware that these advertisments are nothing more than Spam, and that taking up any offers made in the adverts is done at the user's own risk.
